The fact that employees go through 6 months of unpaid training is horrendous, unpaid internships are illegal and so should unpaid training. I would not have my child tutored at a facility that doesn’t even respect their own employees, if they can’t respect their employees why would you think they would even treat your child with dignity and respect? I am mortified that this is happening in 2021.
The director should be ashamed of themself. do not mistreat your hard working employees after training with you for 6 months without pay! disgusting
Such a scam. workers aren’t paid. ur money just feeds the franchise owners greed as your children’s academic performance remains stagnant.
They make you do 6 months of training for a PT $15 tutor job unpaid. Sounds illegal.
Ask the director for more information and they stated “i’m the wrong guy”
Hey, the executive director needs to be fired and replaced.
Boring place doesnt even help
My daughter ACT score didnt improve as they promised. She actually did better without their help. They have mostly students teaching student instead of certified teachers. More commercial than service.
Horrible place. Great students but the full time staff all look miserable with their lives and they take it out on the teachers. I heard bad reviews about working here but I decided to be open minded and try it out for myself. The first day I stepped in I felt a lot of negative vibes but I still pushed through and after a week of working I quit. This place is just filled with rudeness and bad energy- there are way better teaching jobs to get if you graduated college.
Huntington is great with the students the staff really takes time with the family and gives you conferences and updates.
Great place for learning
Absolutely attentive to my child, caring environment for children because they really care
This was the first tutoring center I worked at as a tutor. Id been working with kids for two years prior to this establishment. The managers a absolutely very rude. Carrie in human resources has a very cold demeanor. They are very strict and particular about being on time, and having cell phones which you cannot use while on the clock, which makes since. In speaking with both Carrie and breanne managers at this establishment, both walked away from me as I was still talking with them about concerns I had. Which very disrespectful. I recently had trouble with a check and called 5 times to get the situation resolved but no one called me back and I was given the same run around story that someone will contact me and no one did. Im not a person that writes bad reviews about any establishment, but this is possibly the worst experience Ive had with any company. I went in to resolve the issue and breanne another manager told me that they needed direct deposit which I previously gave them when I was hired and that they shredded my information since they didnt hear from because I quit and my documents werent signed. I finding this out I had to go back to the bank and get the direct deposit form to give them again. Id been waiting for my check for two weeks! And in calling them this could have been resolved if someone had called me back. She then tells me that since they didnt hear from me, they didnt know how to reach me and couldnt call me back because they were so busy. A company should never treat there staff in such a way, you would never tell a child your working with that your too busy to assist them and a teacher is no different. This establishment although helpful in someways, isnt the best place to work, because of Carrie and breanne in my opinion. Its great feeling to be apart of a childs life to help facilitate there growth, but I wouldnt do it at this location.
I called here with a few questions. Very rude and nasty staff. A very snarky and, dare I say, b**chy, tone of voice. Skip this location and go somewhere else.
Some staff members are very rude and show favoritism
