My family loves doing food tours so whenever they come to visit me in the city we always book one. We did the Lower East Side tour and Brian was our guide. He had incredible knowledge of the area and all the different foods we tried. Brian made us feel very comfortable since we are still in Covid and made each of us feel welcome. Food tours are such as wonderful way to view the city, learn about the history, and try some delicious food, even if you are a local like me! Thank you Brian!!

My tour guide was Alex and he was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and interesting. I was a small group. The food was great…when they say come hungry they’re not kidding. It was a nice way to see a part of Brooklyn I’ve never been to. I would definitely do another tour with this group. Highly recommended.

Timely meet up. Nice walk through several neighborhoods with good eating along the way. The things touched on by Alex our tour guide that we took note of was the history comment regarding Winston Churchills mother, the Ellis Island history clarifications, and the Cobble Hill ship ballast connection. We wished there had been more of those. The food tastes all were delicious, mostly sweet. My husband would have enjoyed one sweet replaced with a savory. Ending with an egg cream was a hit for everyone in the tour!

We really enjoyed our Hamilton Tour through the financial district in NYC. Ace was a wonderful guide and she showed us the spots the founding fathers once walked and lived. The tour was a great mix of Alexander Hamilton and a short living history of how New York City became the financial giant it is today. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who has seen the play and is interested in more information or any finance geeks like myself. What an incredible way to see the city and actually know what you’re looking at.

The Brownstone Brooklyn food tour with Brian was fantastic! The variety and quality of the food was great, and there was also more than enough food to make us full by the end. Brian really made this tour special because he knew so many of the shop owners and the experience with the businesses was seamless. He also knew the stories and history behind each place, and it really made us appreciate how special the neighborhood culture is in Brooklyn. Highly recommend this tour to everyone!

My fiancé and I are on the east coast for a summer wedding so we decided to spend a week in NYC to make a trip out of it. We decided on a food tour and we chose this one because it took us through neighborhoods on the lower east side that we know absolutely nothing about. The best part about the tour was our guide, Astrid. She was extremely knowledgeable, engaging, and fun. Despite the 95 degree heat, she didn’t miss a beat and was cognizant of everyone in the group, making sure everyone had enough water and shade during the tour. She seems to know everything about the city and even gave us tips on the best breweries in Brooklyn, as we were planning to explore that area next. I would take 10 more tours with her if I could. Highly recommend!

This was my second time taking the Hamilton tour - I did it with my friend and her nephews, and my 10-year-old fangirl insisted we do it on our recent trip to NYC. Astrid is a great tour guide and structured the tour much more logically than my first time around, working our way from the Battery and Customs house to his burial spot. COVID means you cant go onto the Trinity Church grounds - different from my 2018 trip - but hopefully that will change soon. You can still marvel at those ancient gravestones - theyre right there at the fence. Astrid also pepped up the experience with a binder of illustrations showing us what the area looked like back in Hamiltons day - a really nice add that helped us envision it all. The time flew by. Well be back for more!

Excellent Tenements, Tales and Tastes TourOur guide was excellent: Spirited, funny, informative, and kept us moving along and engaged. We were the only New Yorkers in the group, and still heard lots of new information. This tour is good for people from outside of New York and for New Yorkers, as we heard information that was new to us and found numbers of places we had not been to. It does take a special talent to get people engaged first thing in the morning, which our guide did.Not a criticism as much as a comment on scripting: At times we were told this is the best ______ (market, mozzarella, bagels...) in New York. These absolutes dont work for New Yorkers. As with probably most of their tours, this was punctuated by eating. Definitely a good way to get sugar into the system and to engage people. It also sets up social situations (at the dumpling place and at the beer hall) where we sat at a table with other participants and got to talk. None of the food except the beer hall pretzels was very good. I found the prosciutto better than the mozzarella of better quality. The Germans on the tour gave a thumbs up to the beer in the beer hall (which you have to pay for yourself - which is OK). I would not take this tour for the food. That said, the tour guide’s spirited storytelling, leadership and bringing us together to engage each other made this a wonderful event and worthy of the highest rating.
