Had an iron I needed to fix for years! Finally found this place based on a recommendation from the iron manufacturers. The person fixing my iron was supper friendly,efficient was able to tell me within a few minutes if the iron was fixable and how much it would cost. ( so there was no surprises in the end). The iron was fixed the same day which was awesome!Because they do house calls, you have to call in advance to make sure they are at the workshop.

I took my 60-year-old Elna portable in to City Sewing Machine for a tuneup. It is now running beautifully. They charged me what they said they would, and completed the job in about three working days. I am very happy with the job they did.

Great service. This is the second year in a row Ive brought my 20 year old Paff home sewing machine to be tuned up. it runs great after that. Cheaper than buying a new one at $2,000.00. When I ask him what I did to break it he always says nothing so that is reassuring to someone who thinks they broke the machine.

You know those things, Sewer Presser Foot? I searched high and low for a presser foot that will fit my 3/4 size Hello Kitty sewing machine.I called them up and the guy said just bring your presser foot and we should have other kinds in stock that will fit your machine. Sure enough, they did! I can now sew pretty with my hello kitty.

Fantastic. I bought an industrial machine, and any time Ive had issues, Ive called (sometimes it does take a couple calls), but they always follow through and help me fix whatever issue Im having, over the phone, as brining in my machine would be more than a hassle. They stand behind their product and customer service lives on well beyond purchasing. Highly recommend buying from City Sewing, quite a gem of a store.

If youre looking to have your sewing machine repaired, do NOT take it to City Sewing Machine. They ruined both of my machines, which had been working fine and just needed lubrication. I had to take them elsewhere to repair the damage and replace the parts they lost.

They have an enormous selection of needles for a broad range of machines. They can tell you which ones are for your machine. Thats all I could ask for. They also stock feet and some accessories.

I call to make shure they have the pieces and went Im there hi say I find have that tink horrible experience after two hours from the Bronx

I brought my sewing machine for repair 1 month ago. They did tell me it would have been fixed in 10 days and that they would have called me when ready. I had to pass by the store after 2 weeks to ask: it will be ready next Tuesday, well call you they said. I called them one week later: Im going to check the status of your machine: Ill call you in 10 minutes. Two days later I called, same story: they never call me back, I dont know where the hell my machine is, Ill have to go back to the store again and probably fight to get my machine back, even unfixed and take it somewhere else.
