If I could give zero stars, I would. Ive been a client for a few years prior to the current new owners and I enjoyed being a client. When I recently returned to NY, I decided to get a touch up since I still had a package with them. The woman who did my laser was nice but burned me. During my bikini laser treatment, I kept stating the it hurt (mind you, Ive been getting laser hair removal treatment for years with no issues). I suffered a 2nd degree burn in an extremely sensitive area. Would not wish this on anyone. Fortunately, Ive since then healed well but would never return after this horrific experience. I got a called back about my next appointment and let the receptionist know what had happened and I told her I should probably at least get reimbursed for my 3 treatments that I had left on my package because I would definitely NOT be returning but that didnt seem like that was an option. Nonetheless, be careful when getting treatments at this place.

The staff at Gentle Touch Laser center is phenomenal. They are not only professional, but theyre very friendly as well. While undergoing my laser treatments, my technician makes me feel comfortable and at ease. Their schedule is very organized and they always make sure to notify me when I have an upcoming appointment. I would definitely suggest going here and getting rid of your hair problems. After even my first session, I was already noticing results! There are no words to describe how thrilled I am with the services they have provided.

So far the best experience from all the mid-town laser places I have tried. The place is small, but everyone is very friendly and competent. Appointments are easy to make, and they always call to remind you about the appointment few days in advance, which is great since many other places I have tried do not have this practice. The staff works thoroughly and the results are visible right away. I would def recommend this place!

Love this center - even the lobby is filled with humidified, aromatherapeutic air. Wonderfully rejuvenating. Carmen is fantastic - after two visits of laser hair removal, Ive noticed significantly finer hair in treated areas, and less of it! Cant wait to finish all six treatments. The treatments are very reasonably priced as well.The best part about my experience was when Carmen took the time to review my background, reason for visit, and explain the procedure in detail to be on the same page about expectations. My cousin recommended laser hair removal as I was tired of doing Brazilian waxing and not getting the results I wanted. Saw a Living Social deal for Gentle Touch and am soo glad to have found this place! During my first session, the technician Abby helped me feel comfortable as I was quite nervous. Staff is awesome. Highly recommend!

Overall, I have had great results with the laser sessions that I have received from Gentle Touch. I started getting regular laser sessions with them a few years ago and the areas I treated are now practically hair free. There is occasionally some very light growth, but that is only to be expected. They do not promise complete removal, but reduction of growth. I am extremely happy with results and I consider this to have been one of my best investments. I love not having to shave at all for weeks at a time. I will say that my treatment was probably very successful because I have very dark hair and light skin, which tends to be the best combination for the lasers ability to target the hair follicles. I recommend Gentle Touch wholeheartedly. While they can get very booked up when they run their Groupon specials, I have not had too much of a problem getting an appointment when I need one.

I have just went to my sixth appointment here and I love it. I have barely had to shave since I started- Liz is great!! The staff is friendly and very flexible. They also have great prices for package deals. Highly recommend!

I was very pleased with the treatments I had at gentle touch. I found them to be very professional, efficient and polite. The ladies who took care of my treatments were very sweet and made the somewhat uncomfortable experience of having to expose your naked body to a stranger much less daunting than I expected. After just six sessions I have noticed a substantial hair reduction in treated areas, and am virtually hairless in areas where hair was coarser. Im so happy I did it and would like to go back for future treatments.

It was my first time getting the treatment and I have to admit that I was extremely nervous. Within 30 seconds of the consult and then the subsequent treatment, the staff put me at ease and made me feel like I belonged. The staff is highly professional and personable. Friendly staff. Had three sessions so far and I see amazing results. Appointment times are flexible as long as you make them in advance and dont change them. They confirm with you via telephone and e-mail a few days in advance which is good in case you forget you had an appointment. The location is also very convenient to get to.

I love my experience with Gentle Touch Laser. After my third treatment I noticed 80% reduction in hair growth. Friendly staff and appointment time is flexible. I had to cancel my latest appointment last minute due to some unforeseen circumstances but they understood and gave me an option to come later in the day to makeup for that appointment which was great because I thought I missed my 4th session. Ive gone to Gentle Touch Laser in the past via a Groupon and was very satisfied with lots of hair reduction on my underarms. Then, I tried another place with a coupon as well, and have to say that after several treatments with the other place, I didnt notice any hair reduction the way I had with Gentle Touch. Some places dont have very effective lasers but you are still pay a lot for their services. I am happy to be back on track with Gentle Touch and look forward to great results. The staff are professional, courteous and the place is clean.

I have had two sessions so far for my sideburns. The tech who does the session is so sweet. She asks me every so often if Im alright throughout the session and she always makes me feel comfortable. My sideburns (or lack of) look amazing!! I never thought I would be this much happier just by removing my sideburns.I would def recommend to any of my friends.

I have had nothing but good experiences here! I bought a Groupon package on a friends recommendation and continue to buy single sessions for touch-ups because the results have been so good. The technicians made me feel very comfortable and the laser is, in fact, gentle! (Well, as gentle as a laser zapping your hair follicles can be.) I was surprised to read bad reviews of the receptionist, the girl there now is fantastic.

Me and 2 of my coworkers go to Carmen and we all think shes fantastic! Shes very professional, friendly, and most importantly good at what she does. I have had great results so far and they are what I expected because Carmen is very straight forward about the process and how it works.

I purchased a Groupon for six sessions on a small area. My experience at Gentle Touch was a good one. Though I was sometimes a bit rushed, I found the staff to be very flexible with scheduling my appointments and always courteous while performing the service. Hair growth is greatly diminished and not totally gone, but I was advised from the first session that this might be the case. Overall, I feel that I got a good value for the money and would return.

The price is not cheap and it can cost a fortune. But it is worthy. Overall the service is good. It does sting a little on certain areas and other areas are painless.

I have been going to Gentle Touch for the better part of a year. Every appointment is quick and painless. Ive never had to wait more than five minutes. The technicians are friendly and knowledgeable; and the place is always clean and neat.

My wife and I came to Gentle Touch Laser about 8 months ago inquiring about laser hair removal after going to Pulse Laser from a groupon voucher. We didnt see any results from our previous center after six sessions and wanted to seek services elsewhere. The owner at Gentle Touch Laser was one of few that could actually explain to us how laser worked and also why it wasnt working at our last place. After meeting with Liz and doing a test on small areas, we felt confident and signed up for another package. Just three sessions later we saw a huge difference and immediately felt like we came to a professional center that knew how laser was done. Also we were explained that a certain laser was to be used on our skin and not older styles that they stopped using. This may explain why our results finally came from switching centers. Ill say that it may be difficult getting an appointment last minute but all in all the customer service is very good and the owner shows passion about his business and his employees.

I love the front of house staff, they are friendly, chatty, and make the entire experience feel comfortable. The laser technician is amazing, I cannot say enough GREAT things about her. I have had laser before, and the results were spotty, and all over (due to the application technique and a sub-par machine). Here, the technician Gena (hopefully I spelled that right) went about the application in a grid, so I know every last hair was zapped.Finally, as we chatted away, and was able to take breaks when I needed to, I ended the experience by thanking her for making an uncomfortable situation comfortable. I was tired of shaving my head so I thought laser hair removal was the best method. I went here because I got burned bad from North Jersey Plastic Surgery on my scalp, not to mention the $$$ was off the charts. You can see my review on Yelp about them. Gentle Touch has a great staff and they work with you. I been there for some time and now and each technician that I have dealt with have been professional and very friendly.

I have tried several different types of lasers and love the machine they use, Cynosure. Great results with minimal pain. Christine is very accommodating and friendly. Would def go back.

Laser technicians are well informed and thorough but the room is cold so it can be a little uncomfortable. Lucky, you are only in there for 15 minutes max normally so its not the worst. It can be difficult to schedule your appointment sometime due to lack of availability. However, everyone is friendly to work with.

My experience with SMP was great and I wanted to share because its one of those things that guys dont like to talk about but should so we can save each other some time and money! I considered getting hair transplants but after seeing a few of my buddies go through the process, I was not impressed with the results, pain they experienced or the crazy price tag. I have had a receding hairline for close to a decade and was starting to get a patch of thinning hair on my crown. I was looking into alternatives when a good friend of mine mentioned that he signed up to have scalp micropigmentation (SMP). When I saw him 2 months later, I was shocked at how real it looked! He previously had patchy hair loss along the hairline but with a good amount of hair around it. It was nicely blended and he looked much younger. I decided to go for a consult with his tattooist after seeing this so I could decide if this was right for me. I was really happy with how precise and thorough the tattooist was during the consultation. She drew in a hairline, analyzed my hair growth pattern and explained the game plan to get to the final result. The procedure wasnt as uncomfortable as I thought it would be, just that my nose was dripping a lot while it was being done. This happens I think from sinus stimulation. I dont recall the full explanation but its expected and they give you a box of tissues before they start. I was a little red for a day after each of the treatments but nothing much else as a side effect. After finishing my last session 2 months ago I wanted to wait to see how it looked after being completely done and healed. I am stoked about the end result! She did a great job with blending into my existing hair and I do feel much more confident in general. I would highly recommend this treatment to anyone that is looking for a cost effective and long lasting solution. They were also very good with privacy so you will not be sitting in a room with a bunch of other guys like I saw at some other places. Personally, this is not the same as getting a hair cut and I really liked having that privacy. I definitely appreciated the environment for that reason. This is a top notch, professional and clean operation with awesome SMP tattooists! Thank you GTL!

So happy to have found a solution for my hair loss. After being educated on SMP and getting a complimentary consultation by a licensed tattooist that answered all my questions and concerns, I felt ready to move forward with the treatment. They really took their time to also give me the right hairline and even gave me the option draw my own hairline to what I wanted! The treatment has made me look years younger and I have my hairline back! I also had a small scar in the back of my head that they also filled in with SMP. I always felt a little self conscious about it and they were able to disguise it during the session with no problem. After my 3rd session my SMP was completed and It looks impeccable. It looks so real! I have a permanent fresh haircut at all times! I definitely recommend coming here if you are looking to do SMP. Great location and clean facility! Thanks GTL

Ive had laser hair removal in multiple areas of my body so needless to say Ive been to other treatment facilities but GENTLE TOUCH LASER is by far THE BEST and I felt NO PAIN whatsoever! The name suites the treatment facility well! Other laser treatments Ive tried have been irritating, painful and harsh to my skin. But since discovering GENTLE TOUCH LASER, Ive had no problems, no skin irritations & best of all no pain! The laser actually feels a little cool to the touch. Ive been to many laser hair removal places that did nothing are almost nothing, both in San Francisco and NY. This place really works! I never knew laser hair removal was actually an effective procedure until I had a Groupon and made some appointments with them.

I spent over $3,300 on laser sessions here and I have to say it was a complete waste of money. Initially, I had 1 laser tech named Gina, who was pretty thorough, but then she was gone and every time I went there was another woman staring at me unrobed (which was not very comfortable), and they were quite rude. The new laser techs were also very quick to get you in and out. And twice they tried to convince me that Id finished my sessions, and then I complained because I always wrote down all my appointments, then they claimed that theyd misplaced my file and continued to give me the remaining treatments I had pre-paid for (I never bought a groupon). So for 2 years I received treatments here. It has been about 2-3 years since and I have to say a lot of my leg hair is growing back (though they guaranteed me it wouldnt). When I asked if there was any way to receive a free touch-up (something Gina has promised), the new tech there said they wouldnt honor that promise and even started bad-mouthing Gina (which I thought was exceedingly unprofessional, not to mention awkward since I thought she was nice). They tried to sell me another package, which when I looked online was not as good as a package they had on groupon, so I could have bought it online, for cheaper, and collected groupon bucks.. Im trying to imply that they dont know how to negotiate and cant even try to retain older clientele. This is a terrible business with no customer service. I didnt mind that its located in a tiny closet off to the side of a hair salon on the 2nd floor of a building, but I wish I could have my money back.

This is a negative rating review. I feel quite strongly about my opinion which I will post at all given sites which I can review about GentleTouch. For those of you who have the same experience I encourgage you to post your reviews as well.I purchased a groupon for GentleTouch, called made an appt which they gave me an appt for 8 weeks later. 8 weeks later, they call me the day before to confirm, ok, Im ready to go...all shaven for my laser treatment, an hour before my treatment they call to cancel my appt cause the machine is not working. Ok I can deal with that, things happen, machines breakdown. BUT then they couldnt give me another appt again until another 8 weeks, ok again, Ill be patience, they are busy, appts are hard to come by at GentleTouch.Another 8 weeks later, once again, they call me the day before to confirm my appt, all shaven ready to go, now 2 hours before the appt I receive a call to CANCEL AGAIN something due to the weather??? NOW COME ON.....PLEASE!!!We all know what it feels like when you are getting the run-around when you call to make an appt, and when you receive a call from GentleTouch for an appt with just a bogus reason.There is no flexibility to making an appt with GentleTouch, so if you are on a tight shedule...GOOD LUCK.
