So thankful for Bitz-n-Pieces! Can’t recommend them enough, they go above and beyond in all aspects. My friend unfortunately needed a wig due to her recent cancer diagnosis. As 30 year olds this was not something we were mentally prepared for, though Edward got us through it. The place is bright and welcoming, the staff is fantastic and knowledgeable. My friend looks and feels like herself. I’ll never be able to express my gratitude for everyone and their dedication to helping us find light and feel normal during such a dark time.

I walked into one of the most beautiful salons Ive ever seen. The people were warm and welcoming.Fernando did a consultation with me and he was open and honest, kind and informative. I had such an amazing time learning about styles, hair and color that would work best for me. The best part of the conversation is that they as a company are expanding into varying hair textures- so curls of all forms can be celebrated in wigs.This is definitely a place for all people to come and get that added hair piece or wig they desire, no matter your hair texture.I appreciated the parting gift they gave me. Again, everyone was warm and welcoming and I look forward to making them my go-to shop for hair.

It was my grandmas birthday and I wanted my grandma to have a new wig. My friend Anna recommended me to go to Barry Hendricksons salon and told me to see Edward. I was first greeted by Randy and he arranged for my grandma to have Edward find her a great wig. She was so excited and had a great experience! Thank you guys!

I spent $ 2800. On a European human hair wig. Edward was suppose to put a few highlights in the bang area. Once I finally received it, it was HORRIFIC. no way was it blonde steaks, but all over yellowish/red.I was livid. I sent it back to have him bring it back to its natural color. He rejected receiving it and sent it back. I am bringing it to my hairstylist, to see if he can resurrect this mess. Edward should have call my salon to get my base color and highlights. He didn’t and actually doesn’t know what the heck he is doing. GO TO A REPUTABLE WIG SALON. WORST THING, I fear, he switched wigs, as the style of the one he sent me versus what I tried on is totally different.

Cant say enough good things about this place. Best in NYC! Private rooms, comfortable atmosphere, caring staff. Worth every penny.

I made an appointment at Bitz N Pieces with a bit of hesitation after reading some of the less favorable reviews here. But it had been recommended through a friend which was more important to me than the on-line reviews.This is not the first time I’ve gone through chemotherapy, and the last time I bought a wig at a well-known (not NYC) store and ended up with a $500 synthetic wig that was both ill-fitting and ill-suited to me that I never actually wore. I wore hats or gave in to my baldness for a year.I called Bits N Pieces during their normal business hours and spoke to Jennifer. I was easily able to make an appointment at a convenient time. Jennifer clearly explained how their consultation fees work, as well as the fact that they don’t accept insurance for wigs purchased for medical reasons. I had a few questions, which she patiently answered – so I knew exactly what I was in for.The salon is bright an airy; Jennifer greeted me and offered me something to drink as soon as I arrived. She then brought me to a private room for consultation with Fernando.Fernando and I discussed what I wanted (as close to my natural cut and color as possible), and the pros and cons of synthetic versus natural hair wigs, such as cost, ease of styling and maintenance, etc. We tried many options, and agreed on one that was close – but not quite – right. He then styled, thinned, cut and sized the wig until we agreed it was nearly perfect. He explained how to put on and care for the wig and reminded me that once my hair started to fall out from the chemotherapy treatments I should plan to return for refitting and any further style adjustments, which I did. At this second visit, we also settled on the best way to secure it.I just made an appointment for a final “tweak” on the fit now that I’ve been wearing it a while. Fernando will have spent almost three hours with me by the time we finish our next fitting – and I never felt rushed, pressured or scammed. My new wig (synthetic) was also $500, but the difference between it and my first one is night and day. My sister has been a hairdresser for 30 years, and she told me it is one of the best she’s ever seen.Don’t be swayed by some of the negative reviews here. Make an appointment. Ask questions. Be open. The folks at Bitz N Pieces really do want their customers to be happy.

I respect each and everyones review for Bitz-N-Pieces .My experience with them was AMAZING. My initial appointment was set for Friday, May 8, 2015 which I completely misunderstood/ forgot so on Thurs May 7, 2015 I called them to say that I was running late. But the person that attended to me via phone was even kind enough to accommodate me a day in advance, again I was running late since I was coming from out of town but they adjusted my appointment time so I can make it.Then when I got there, seeing that I was a bit exhausted from the travel, I was offered water and coffee by Daniela ........ which I find very considerate of their clients.Maggy was my consultant / stylist, who presented to me immediately the type of hairpiece that was appropriate and close to my original hair. The style looks exactly like my hair, the length, color, highlights and curls. Maggy was very nice and patient to me from start to end.Daniela and Athena (front desk) and Maggy were all wonderful. They were very entertaining, sweet and empathetic towards me. It was truly a JOY meeting the three of them. I am glad to have purchased my hair prosthesis here.

I needed to change up my look so I asked my friend which salon should I go to? My friend told me to go to bitznpieces- Fernando for hair advice. Since I attend and cover a lot of events, I have to change up my look slightly and look fresh and unique. I met with Fernando and he helped me select the ponytail clipon. He was detailed and very thorough to explain the different clipon pieces. I tried to make an appointment through the internet. No one called me back. Then I called and got an answering machine and I left a message and again, no one called me back. Finally, after a full week went by I called and got a live person on the phone and made an appointment. Upon arrival, I felt like I was in a hair salon -- young women behind the counter and the place is very open and very public with other customers walking around who could see me. And I could see them -- even the customers who were having salon treatments I could see. I really thought that having had to make an appointment that I would be having privacy. There was ZERO privacy!! My actual consultation was held in a private room but to get there, I had to walk through the whole establishment in front of other customers! The woman who I met with was fine and she explained to me the differences between human hair and synthetic etc... but I realized that there were no wigs in the room we were in so each time she left to bring in a different wig I realized how much time this whole process was taking. When you are being charged basically by the minute I couldnt help but get the impression that this whole arrangement is designed to take longer so that I could be charged a higher consultation fee.From the moment I walked in the door I did not have a good feeling. When my time was up I realized I couldnt wait to leave. Im sure some people have a good experience there but Im not one of them. I wouldnt go back, and unfortunately, I dont recommend them at all. If you are at all self-consious or anxious about having to buy or wear a wig -- this is NOT the place for you. Sorry, but thats the truth.

I have been going to Bitz-n-Pieces for many years. Barry started by doing magnificent stage wigs for me. When I said I wanted to look like Ronnie Spector he knew just what I meant. He eventually made a lace front wig for me, my very first. I was hooked. Later when I wanted to upgrade my everyday look, Barry made me special falls and top pieces of human hair which he dyed to match my color de jour. He was always patient with me and my demands and made me feel I was as important as his celebrity clients. I only regret leaving New York and not being able to deal with him personally. Whenever I do visit New York from Nashville after eating a real bagel, I visit his gorgeous salon for some tender loving hair care.KK Nashville, TN

Bitz-N-Pieces is the only place to go when it comes to wigs! its hands on and the staff works hard to make sure when you leave, you leave feeling beautiful, fabulous and looking like yourself fresh from a salon spa day! I recommend this salon.. ! make the appointment and see for your self.. it goes by consultation so this isnt a wham bam thank you mam place!! they take time and effort to make sure you leave happy and smiling, its not about the money like other wig salons who dont even style the piece on you, its about making this time the most comfortable transition ever.. #TeamBitz!
