NYSC Is a shady business. I’ve had a membership with them for well over 6 years. When the pandemic hit back in March 2020 NYSC continued to charge people for their members for April, May and June. I called and cancelled my month-month membership mid March. Then I had put a hold on my card tied to my membership. They tried to charge my card for memberships up to September 2020. When I called to get this looked at not one could answer any questions. DONT GET A MEMBERSHIP with NYSC. Their facilities are always poorly maintained (broken equipment, dirty gym floor &bathroom, rude staff). Do better NYSC.
By far the nicest NYSC elite location Ive ever been in, cant even be compared to other NYSCs. Staff was spectacular. Machines were gorgeous, and the pin-spot lighting gave it a really cool feel. Loved how the lower floor has the extra section for additional squat racks.I agree there were a lot of people there, but its also a massive location with a ton of equipment - so it works well if you have a flexible routine (if youre willing to change the order of exercises depending on equipment availability)
This gym would honestly be perfect if it wasnt for the music that they BLAST, making it impossible to listen to your own music or even hear your workout partner. This really is a liability, and given that most people I see have earbuds in, its also extremely inconsiderate.
Hi, when will you return to normal hours of operation? A 7pm close on Friday and 5pm close on Saturday and Sunday in combination with a line of people 20 deep waiting to get in makes it very difficult to work out.
Did this go under new management and rates get lowered? Reception seems indifferent compared to when I first joined in July and theres WAYYYYY to many people now between the 5-7pm hours.

I have been trying to cancel my membership since June. Called corporate and talked to someone called Karen Heimbach and she says she doesnt have the authority to cancel it...even tho I have an email from Gabriel from West 38th location (now closed..go figure with these fishy cancellation policy) that a cancellation request has been placed on my account. Its September now and I am still paying for this membership. Tried to get in touch Michelle Caravella through Linkedin but cant...WHY IS IT SO DIFFICULT TO CANCEL YOUR GYM MEMBERSHIP?
