The ultimate in temp agency work - extremely flexible scheduling, part time, and a wide variety of placement locations and clients to keep it interesting. In the busy seasons it can be nearly full time. You can work at luxurious fundraisers in prestigious locations, banquets at catering halls, corporate receptions, and private events of all kinds. Its not rocket science, but a good attitude, a willingness to work, and a customer service orientation does help. Previous experience in food service or hospitality is a big plus. Very suitable for those who need supplementary income to support their entrepreneurial projects, as well as folks in the arts, and regular folk just trying to get by without having to take a 9-5 permanent job. The managers are very nice and will try to meet your needs.

At Your Service took me in while I was at my lowest. I didn’t think I would get hired, after being turned down several times by other employers. That wasn’t the case. Gwen saw something in me. Maybe it was my honesty or how open and vulnerable I was. I was hired on the spot. I’ve been with them for about five months now & the experience I’ve had working with them is amazing so far.They do an amazing job of finding these events for us to work. Especially me, I’ve been working nonstop since the end of September.They also do an amazing job of reaching out to make sure you’re prepared & ready for your shift & on time. Monica, Sue and Agatha always help me with everything we need in the event. Flexible schedule and you still get 40 hrs in the busy season!

Ive worked at At Your Service (AYS) for over 3 years. I thought it was going to be a side gig, but it turned into my main source of income. Its a great place to work and super flexible - plus more organized than other staffing agencies that Ive tried. You get opportunities to work at some of the most iconic places in NYC -which I love. If you do a good job they will keep giving you more jobs plus will work with you on your schedule, needs, concerns, etc. If you decide to go on leave, you are just taken off the invites (invites are where you accept or deny jobs)..then you can be added on back on when you want work again. Maybe someday Ill go back to that corporate world but for now, this is my home. Thanks AYS!
