My laptop was having trouble keeping its charge, at first I thought it was the charging cord itself and replaced it twice before finally deciding to take it in, note, I’ve had this laptop for almost a decade now and take very good care of it, so I was very worried about having to replace it, but I dropped it off at MacBook repair inc and the owner immediately took my laptop to the side and found out what was wrong with it/was able to repair it in a day for an extremely reasonable price!! (I’m not very tech savvy so I can’t say for sure what was done to it because I don’t know any of the terminology) but my laptop is safe at home once more and is working perfectly!! I’m so happy and will definitely be coming back in the future if anything else happens to my Apple products 🥺❤️❤️

Hello!My first Mac/Apple repair in The Big Apple!New to the neighborhood.For some time I wanted to get my keyboard fixed and have the inner unit vacuumed/dusted. I have a 2014 15 MacBook Pro.Its been working well overall for all of this time.Prices for the repair were high.I contacted this location and the price was very reasonable.The dusting was free with the replacement of the keyboard. I also got a new battery.Price was amazing and the service was excellent.I am a transgender woman of color. I was treated professionally and with courtesy.There was another issue I was having with the Apple two point verification. One of the gentlemen there offered some advice on that too.It may be that this is a minority owned business. If so, I am glad to be part of their pool of extremely satisfied customers. These guys are great in my experience. Found them after an Apple tech referred me to another place that was awful. They restored my faith. My computer was unfortunately friend beyond repair but I didn’t even care anymore! They helped where they could. I left beaming.

Im in Tucson, AZ and contacted them about doing a board level repair for a clients MacBook Pro. They quickly replied with a very detailed email outlining the problem, and why they didnt think it made sense to repair it as this model MacBook Pro had a defective video card on the logic board that had been a problem since new. I was impressed with their openness and honesty. Its not often you see someone talking you out of spending money with them, but they were more interested in my being happy than making a few bucks off me. I definitely recommend them.

Really friendly guy. Pretty funny too. Repaired my Mac in a little over an hour at an affordable price. I didnt have to wait for weeks to have my laptop repaired. its been a while now, and no complaints yet. it is almost like my Mac never got damaged in the first place.

Cannot say enough good things about this place. We had an issue with my daughters phone during Covid shutdown. Apple Support sent us to Mikes Tech Shop who treated us like garbage. We stumbled on these guys and they let us come in right away. While its in a slightly unusual location they were professional, efficient and gracious. Jerome was great, he fixed my daughters phone then guided her through retrieving her data. He went above and beyond to help us. Even when Apple reopens I will go to Macbook Repair NYC.

Needed a battery replacement for a 2015 Macbook Pro that I received as a gift so decided to walk over to Macbook Repair randomly. I was in and out within 30 minutes with a newly installed replacement and they even cleaned up the casing for me. No hassle, the repair guy was nice & professional, and the price was reasonable.

I still have my 2011 15 MacBook Pro kicking, yep, 2020 and still kicking and working well. Thats because in 2016, after I received a red screen of death the Apple store replaced the motherboard for free due to a manufacturers chip-overheating malfunction. In 2019, it happened again and was no longer covered under a manufacturers defect warranty.Being from the burbs, I was skeptical of any MacBook repair store in NYC, thinking theyre just out for the money, but Ill give my review here, and on Yelp to testify that this store - Macbook Repair NYC in Times Square, is awesome! I bought the expensive part online for a few hundred (yes, expensive I know) and then asked if they could install it (because its an intricate process that requires tools and would just probably be better suited by an expert) -- they repaired my Macbook in one hour and the price was fair.So i would recommend them to anyone looking for good MacBook repair. Went in on a Tuesday afternoon after spilling water on my 2015 Macbook Pros keyboard, and got it back fixed with in a couple hours. No muss, no fuss and an awesome price--- a quarter of what they charged at the Apple store. This is the place to go!!

Earlier this week, an Apple Genius told me Id have to buy a whole new mac or pay $750 in repairs because of water damage to my mac. Ricardo fixed it twenty minutes. Also when I came to pick it up he ironically offered me water from his fridge. Awesome, highly recommend

Definitely do recommend Ricardo! I went there almost as a last resort and Ricardo was able to do the same thing that mightve taken Apple 3-5 days and Ricardo did it in 10 minutes. We were able to speak during that time and hes just as friendly as a person as he is good at fixing laptops, but just overall an amazing experience. Ive been working abroad (no local service for miles) and needed a new battery urgently. So I took the opportunity to have this fixed during a quick trip to NYC. I contacted 2 nearby Apple stores, neither would tell me if parts were in stock, and that they have a policy of only ordering repairs after an on site evaluation (so no preordering, even though I only had 2 days to turn this around). In contrast, Macbook Repair NYC answered my email inquiry, verified the availability of parts and required no appointment.Because I thought Apple would be more reliable/professional, I booked an appointment and visited them first. When I showed up, they then called around to confirm no parts were in stock, and that the turn around would be 4 to 5 days. I really dont see why this cannot be done in advance, online (aside from the thought that they dont really want to fix their stuff).So I dropped by Macbook Repair, and they had it in stock and replaced the battery in 1/2 a day. In addition, since the keyboard letters were all washed off, so I asked for a keyboard replacement. When I came to pick it up, they let me know they decided that the entire keyboard didnt need to be replaced, but just the keys themselves (which costed significantly less). This I truly appreciated, as it would have been just as easy for them to replace as I requested, and to make more money. Their prices are about the same as the Apple store, but I think in this case you really get what you pay for - Fast, reliable, professional, practical and honest! Thanks!

I had a few keys fail on a 2012 MacbookPro and was told by an official Mac repair shop it would cost $450 and take at least a week. I called these guys and they said they had the keyboard in stock and could fix it in about an hour for $150. Amazing. Dont bother going to the Apple Store or shops that send everything back to Apple. These guys are awesome.

Ricardo did an excellent job. He just kept going at it and working on my Macbook pro which had undergone water damage until he was able to bring it back to life. He offers a flat rat of 299$ + tax (total $325.54) which I believe is fair. If he can not repair your computer then he does not charge you. Really nice guy who did a really solid job. when I first went to pick up the macbook it did not hold charge, so he continued to work on it and so far it is working great. He gives a 90 day warranty on the repair.

Apple said my logic board and several other parts were toast due to liquid damage and quoted me $795 to repair. These guys? $185 and it was only two parts. Done in 1.5 hours on a random walk-in. Incredibly pleasant and professional. Mind blown.

Ricardo was so efficient and helpful. I found this place by accident as no one else had my screen and finally was sent here by another vendor. This was the only place close by to my job that I could find a new screen for my old, out of warranty Macbook Pro at a reasonable price (Apple store is too expensive). I had even left my spare device behind on one of his seats, and he called me and kept it safe. I wouldnt have noticed otherwise. Great turn around time and service. He even threw in a new pink screen protector and keyboard case that he had because he knows I love pink and my old one was broken :). Will be coming here for all my mac needs.

Absolutely amazing. I went in with a liquid damaged MacBook Pro 2013 “15” inch. Ricardo is a miracle worker in my opinion because my computer lived through half a bottle of spilled water and he managed to bring my computer back to life for the price of $299. I don’t know how he does it but my experience was more than wonderful. Apart from his work, he is such a nice/honest person who truly just wants to help you and will put in all the effort and will update you through his process. Don’t waste your time with other places! My Daughter spilled nail polish remover on her Macbook Pro. Apple wanted to charge me $770 to replace the main board (they made this recommendation in less than 5 minutes) Macbook Repair NYC said there was no way Apple could have known the main board was bad without opening up the Macbook which takes way more then 5 minutes.They replaced the keyboard for $160. I had to pay cash. I wasnt crazy about that. But I will definitely come back the next time I need a repair.

COMPLETELY TRASHED MY COMPUTER. Do not get your Mac repaired here. When I finally took it to Apple bc the keyboard stopped working the technician found that the screws holding the fan, keyboard link, and battery were all missing. They did a really shoddy repair job and it was NOT cheap. They also guaranteed that they could fix my hard drive but then could not.

AMAZING REPAIR SHOP! Do not waste your time going anyplace else. My Mac Air had water damage and Apple was charging me $1K to fix it, which was basically the price for a brand new computer. I wasted money and time going to an Apple-affiliate repair shop and they could not replace the logic board. I am so happy I found this place. They are honest, very reasonably priced and know what they are doing. They also have a 90-day gaurentee! They saved me from spending money and the headache of not having my laptop.

Ricardo was able to rescue my macbook and recover it to nearly perfect condition (minus some things that just couldnt be fully recover). He was kind and very helpful... Great experience getting my battery on a 15 inch macbook pro replaced. Apple Store wanted 1400 bucks for the fix because they said the logic board also needed replacement. Mutaal said logic board was fine. Replaced the battery which had swollen for 199. Done in 20 mins while I wait. Highly recommended.

Customer service was great. I had a ram slot problem with my Macbook, and Apple asked for a $500 fee for a logic board replacement. The guys here were able to fix my problem without replacing my logic board. I even saved some money too. I would highly recommend Macbook Repair NYC if you have a problem :)

Fixed my MacBook Pro that spple couldn’t fix. Cost 299 + tax with 90 day warranty. Apparently one drop of water or even moisture from bathroom can short the motherboard.

I paid 500+ dollars for a new retina screen. It slowly stopped working after about 6 weeks. I live far away and cant bring it back to be repaired. They have no guarantee.They say screens are not guaranteed. Wow!

After a big fail in another compagnie, who changed 3 times my screen with defaults (sell brand new for 550 box TI).I finally ask for a full refund, accepting some apologies, and explanation about the fact that my screen is not easy to obtain, even in apple store as they told me... Ricardo is a hero. I broke my macbook screen, and Apple refused to provide a price or time estimate for the repair over the phone. They told me Id have to wait at their store for an hour to get a walk-in appointment that day just so they could see the problem for themselves. Really? They dont think I can diagnose a cracked screen? Called these guys, and Ricardo told me he could replace my screen in 1.5 hrs for less than half of what Apple would charge. Obviously brought it to him right away, and he delivered. Computer was repaired flawlessly in just over an hour at less than $400 all in. He saved the day.

I went to get my MacBook Pro fixed because i couldn’t connect to WiFi due to the fact that it said (no hardware installed) and also my battery replaced. I was quoted on the battery which I was fine with and the technician thought that it was my air-port card but he said he would text me to let me know what the issue was. The next day, I received a text saying that the repair was complete. Thinking that they fixed everything, I went to the store anticipating all issues were resolved but they told me that they replaced the battery but couldn’t figure out what the issue was with the WiFi!! What’s the point of replacing the battery if I can’t connect to the internet?! Frustrated, I asked the gentleman at the counter why they didn’t fix the Wi-Fi issue and he said that he wasn’t the one that did the repair but I could leave it again to have the tech look at it. I thought that was the point the day before. Needless to say, I left upset and disappointed and just paid for the battery. Definitely would NOT recommend. Poor communication and horrible service!!! Didn’t even attempt to resolve my problem!!! 👎🏼

Went to Tekserve for my cracked macbook screen- its a 2010- they wouldnt touch it. Ricardo had it fixed for next to nothing in 12 hours - fantastic. Godsend. Highly recommend.
