I used already Washington deluxe multiple times when visiting my family in DC I highly recommend them never had any problems

I lodged a complaint with them on May 31st and its been crickets. There is no response, no follow up, nothing. I booked 4 tickets from Washington to NYC for May 31st at 4.15pm. First of all, Washington Deluxe has no buses and instead we were made to take the BestBus, so the fact that they even allowed us to make the reservations is beyond me. When checking in prior to boarding, we were told that the system has only 1 ticket under my name and that its a full bus. Due to this, we were made to wait aside for 30 minutes, due to no fault of ours. We had to go speak with the representative of Washington Deluxe who tried her best to get us on the bus till the very last minute because people cancelled. If they hadnt, we would have to take the 5.45 pm bus, which isnt what we signed up for. When you pay full price for 4 tickets, you are expected to have it reflect correctly in the system too without having to be put aside and wait. The BestBus buses were cramped, and the ticket collector said that The people holding up the bus (thats us) are having issues with the company. Umm, no we werent. The system showed errors due to no fault of our own. This was honestly the worst experience with a bus service and DO NOT RECOMMEND their service. Terrible service, terrible customer care. Never booking again.

My experience on the Washington Deluxe was excellent-(I was unsure of this bus line-I had not heard of it before) the driver was professional and left on time. He drove fast (but not too fast to be unsafe) and the bus seemed new or fairly new and for a coach bus the seats were fairly comfortable, the bathroom was fully stocked with toilet paper, hand sanitizer and Clorox wipes (this is not always the case with some bus lines). We arrived 30 minutes early on New Years Day and the bus stopped about 5 blocks from Times Square and a few blocks from Penn Station. If I travel from DC to NYC I will probably use this bus line again.

Took Washington deluxe for the first time this weekend and was quite satisfied with the trip. We left DC and NYC on time and arrived fairly to both on time. Was a bit concerned when the driver was eating and driving at the same time but there were no incidents. Spend a little more and go with the deluxe bus that only has 34 seats. It gives you more room to stretch out and has steady wi-fi. I will definitely use them again.

I really enjoyed my trip from NY back to DC. The staff was friendly and the driver was really good. We arrived on time and the air conditioner was set perfectly. Will use this bus again

I have been riding with this company every week for the past six months. The buses are clean, drivers courteous, departures on time and a very friendly staff. I take advantage of the wifi they offer. I do my work while riding the bus. I definitely would recommend them to others. They rock!!

The bus left on time and the drivers were safe. We arrived late on both trips, but there was a lot of traffic, so I dont fault the company for that. However, the bus was advertised as a 36 seat luxury bus. Instead, it was an older coach bus with over 50 seats.

If you care about getting yourself AND your luggage to your destination without having to report grand larceny to the police, I would recommend avoiding this bus service. I bought this bus ticket for my sister because it has a drop off in Brooklyn and thats closer to me. When she arrived (30 min late), she got off the bus and her bag was nowhere to be found. We immediately talked to the bus driver and he said that he took all the bags off the bus and there werent anymore and there was nothing he could do. When we asked him who we could talk to he said he didnt know and he couldnt help, and then drove off. That evening I called the bus company but no one answered. I called the Saturday inquiry number, and spoke to someone but he also said he couldnt help, didnt know who could help, and then hung up on me. My sisters suitcase was full of clothes and books and other items because she was going home from college for a month of winter break. It also had an extra wallet in it with a credit card and the next morning when we woke up, there were fraudulent charges on the account. I was able to speak with a weekend dispatcher for the company and he said he couldnt help us. We are working with the police to recover the stolen property. This bus company is clearly careless with their clients property and the customer service is nonexistent. Ive taken Bolt, Vamoose, Best Bus, and Megabus with luggage and never had a problem -- now my sister is without most of her clothes right before Christmas. Washington Deluxe has not even responded to our multiple emails. I spent all morning on the phone this morning and was given different phone numbers from each person. After I asked to speak with a manager, the dispatcher said she would pass on a message but she didnt know when the manager would be in. There are better ways to get to New York or D.C., dont risk it.

New Years Day 2016 was the first time taking this bus line. I was taking the bus from New York to DC. I was impressed how clean comfortable the was was. I always take Peter Pan bus or mega bus. Washington deluxe was 10x better. I will be using this bus line going forward. Finally a bus company thats not filled with ratchet loud ghetto people.

Not what i expected different bus from what it shows on website!! Old stained clothe seats not leather. No leg room glad bus wasnt full. Nothing special about washington deluxe oh and no outlets on all seats for wifi

Generally a cheap, convenient way to get between DC and Manhattan. You can never tell until you get there whether the bus driver will go straight through or if theyll make a stop half way. The buses are usually clean and tolerably comfortable, but the state and usability of WiFi and power outlets is inconsistent.

After dealing with the other new bus services I decided to travel on the Washington Deluxe. When I came back to NYC from DC I had a great experience. Left on time, drivers nice, ticket holders were great and the bus ride was relaxing.I wont travel on any other bus service from now on.

I have found this to be below standard in comparison with another bus service I take, and they also do not give out free water as the other service does. I also one time helped unload everyone’s luggage to get to mine in the back as one of the drivers stood and watched. I will be phasing out of using Washington Deluxe.

Its okay. Very tight. Not that comfy unless you have both seats to yourself. Its quiet which is nice but the curtain is annoying and barely covers the sun and its very short. But overall it was okay.

NO REFUNDS and POOR Customer Servvice. I did not expect an unexpected change in my schedule and could not take my paid for trip. I dont recall being told upfront by Washington Deluxe that they do not give refunds in the event of inability to take a paid for trip. I live out of state and have no future plans to be in the DC or NY area. I requested a refund. I was told, in a rude manner that Wash Deluxe DOES NOT GIVE REFUNDS under any circumstances. We all know things happen; but if you did not use the service and cannot utilize the service in a future date it would be reasonable to expect and get a least a partial refund. When inquiring about a refund the customer service was unprofessional and uncaring.POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUS SERVICE.

I live in Argentina and for family reasons must come to Washington DC. For a cost issue flight to NY and always opt for this company to make my trip from NY to DC. They are punctual and very friendly staff. Sometimes I find it a bit difficult to make the purchase of tickets via internet as now. I travel on April 9 and I can not use the calendar. For the rest I recommend it.

Used to be my favorite bus. Since they partnered with Gunter buses, they have been on the decline. The drivers are not as professional, and the coaches are not as comfortable.Once took the bus from Union Station to NYC. We drove almost 40 mins off-course to do a driver switch, like they couldnt arrange beforehand to have the driver enroute instead. With so many options on this route, they will not be getting my business.

Cheap seats?.....yeah, but..... bus has obviously been altered to accommodate more people which means more seats less room. Normal bus are 55 seats this bus has 62...... basically sardine can, air-line seating. Bus was freezing despite repeated requests by riders to turn up the temp....got a little motion sickness from the traffic and jamming on the brakes...also other riders (unreal!)....one was totally snorting back sinus snot like a 3 year old every 5 minutes and the other took a bath in AXE or perfume ....ridiculous amount of stink for a 5 hour bus ride. Worth paying the extra for the train.....Bus is overall nice, but not a real enjoyable experience.

I have been traveling with Washington Deluxe for two months now. Having travelled the NY-DC route via some other bus services, I think Washington Deluxe has best buses and on time departures. Downside is, Washington Deluxe is always, always more expensive than other bus services.

The website is a bit deceiving when it has a power outlets icon and then theres no power outlet. Was planning on getting some 4 hours of good work done but no outlets on this bus. Its pretty ridiculous. Clean and comfortable though but dont count on wifi or power.

Great Bus service between New York and Washington DC. Have an executive coach for Business Class and Upscale TRAVEL.

Best bus to DC, clean and consistent prices even on holidays. Your ride will be much better than going on a Greyhound line.

Should just be renamed “Washington bus.” In a regular coach, you can usually expect the promised WiFi and outlets to be broken. Deluxe (in the coach bus world) implies that at least one or both of those promised features works. Shouldn’t have gone out of my way to book with them.

Always use this whenever possible. Comfortable seats, safe drivers, wifi & elec.outlets. Point system also gives free ride every 8 trips.

I had a very enjoyable experience on my trip to NYC, the bus was extremely clean and seemed to be a new coach, the driver was also extremely helpful and very nice to myself and the other passengers.. I would recommend this service to all my friends and intend to use their service again..Thank You Washington Deluxe for an enjoyable trip..

Smooth ride, charging Outlets were lacking

Bus was OK-nothing exceptionally good or bad but minor quibbles-quite bouncy ride, harder to read than on other buses Ive been on. Wifi & charging sockets only worked some of the time, didnt realize this company picked up at 2 locations on every trip, adding 30minutes to the ride.

This bus was advertised as a 36 person bus leaving at 530 and was filled to the brim for 50+ leaving at 620. The bus barely appeared sanitary and had virtually no staff able to communicate time changes. I’ve taken the rougher Chinatown buses and would not do so again, though I’d much prefer them to Washington Deluxe.

We had to departure from New york at 7pm but the bus left 5 minutes early and we lost our bus. I tried to contact them but they didnt answer the call

This is favorite ny to dc bus. It appears to have been sold from the original owners but the buses are more on time than the others and cleaner. There buses used to be a lot roomier but now about the same as bolt. It also has a dupont stop and a Tenley dc as well as Allen st nyc

The bus showed up 30 minutes late and only notified us of their possible late arrival 5 minutes after we were suppose to have already left. Then arrived in DC 1 1/2 hours later than scheduled. With so many bus options to chose from, I will not use this company again.

I am still absolutely horrified that this happened and Im a little bit surprised to even be typing it. When taking the Washington deluxe from New York City to union station on Sunday, October 23 we were asked previous to boarding which station that we were getting off on. We told the driver union station. There is no reason why I would have even mentioned Dupont Circle as I dont even know where that is. There were three of us traveling together. We were the first luggage under the bus as we were the first people in line. Upon arriving at Union station my luggage somehow slid to the other side of the bus. When I pointed to my luggage to the driver he started yelling at me and said that I told him Dupont Circle. I told him I absolutely did not and he continued to yell at me. I was stunned . He ended up walking around to the other side of us and slid my luggage sliding it to the other side knocking into other peoples luggage. I told him he did not need to get nasty with me but that was absolutely not what was said and he walked away. He never apologized or even attempted to calm down. It just so happens that the woman in line behind me was still behind me for this event and heard me say union station as well. I also had two other witnesses traveling me and their luggage was magically in the front by the union station luggage. Go figureWifi never worked even for one second on either bus. I was going to do schoolwork on the bus but of course that was impossible without the Wi-Fi.

Cost-effective get you where you need to be on time most of the time.

Reliable service, very clean buses, clean bathrooms. Departures are on time and arrivals are on time unless theres trafffic issues.

I went to NY on Friday, the Drivers name was Nicolas, he was VERY good, the bus extremly clean, everything work well, internet connection, Wifi, WONDERFUL. Came back yesterday Sunday at 6:00 pm this bus was even BETTER, cleaner, wonderful, the driver (I did not got his name ) was VERY informative, courteous and very polite!Both trips were incredibles!!! WONDERFUL experience, I cant say enough good things about this Bus line!Thank you so much for making this trip so confortable!

Lying on the bus.Taken for the Washington New York route on January 31 at 1 a.m. The bus arrives with 15 min of delays. The bus displays guatter as a name and in it is the big lie no extra space and no more comfort than in any other bus company. Led knees stick to the opposite seat. Wifi does not work at all for private use, for example youtube or twitch.Take Megabus at least you know what you will have and you will pay less for it.So the famous prospectus promises I am still waiting for.
