Extremely rude costumer service. The gentlemen at the front desk was extremely rude to me and the other customers picking up gear and was not wearing a mask inside the office.

The staff at Focus Gear are extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. I work alone as the sole production person at my company so when I came to them with a Carpool Karaoke project I was executing with members of my companys leadership team, I had many questions and concerns. The rental producer, Spencer, answered all of my questions about each of the products I rented, gave expert advice, and ensured that I felt comfortable using the equipment. Day of the shoot they ensured I had extra batteries, all of the equipment was charged, and that nothing was missing. In the end, I shot and edited the segment without any issues and it made a huge impact when it premiered at my companys national operations conference. I have been renting from Focus Gear for the past 3 years. They have a great product list and the website is very user friendly. I have developed a great relationship with the team - theyre very customer focused and are interested in building relationships. Always my first place to go for camera dept. needs.

After reserving equipment weeks in advance they canceled my order less than two days before my production was scheduled to begin (the night before pick up). They canceled the order because they had to fulfill requests for bigger productions that requested the equipment well after I did. They are happy to screw over the little guys at this place. Renters beware.

I was interested in trying out the video features on the new Canon 5D Mark3. I was able to rent one from LightHouse Films within a few days. They were very helpful in showing me how the camera operates and gave me a quick tutorial on continuous lighting. I also asked them questions about post production.The guys at LightHouse are very top notch and their pricing very competitive. The rental experience was very smooth.Highly recommended!

Great professional services and down to earth people to talk with. I rented lighting gear from this company and they suggested me the right setup for an interview. Communicating through email while being in Canada was clear. Everything promised was executed. Equipment was top notch. It looked almost new when I took it out of the packaging. I had no issue with anything being broken. Spare bulbs were provided. All I needed was included. They know how to pack things along with necessary accessories needed for the shoot such as lighting gloves. Thanks guys! Will be back... and I enjoyed New York!

Renting from Lighthouse Films was a really great experience. What I liked best was that I could print out the documents I needed from their website, fill them out, scan them, and email them in. I took care of all of the paperwork before I even got there.When I arrived, all I had to do was sign a paper and leave with the equipment. It was so quick and easy. I appreciate quick and easy. However I stayed for a few minutes for the guy to go over how to use the equipment to make sure I got what I wanted out of it.I am definitely using them for my rental needs going forward.I felt the prices were fair, and now I am excited knowing that I have a place to get the equipment I need for the shoots I have coming up in the next few months. He was easy to reach, helpful, and followed-up afterwards, which is why I think he and his company deserve a very positive review. During an unusually busy week with less than ideal lead time, LightHouse offered our production the gear we needed. They quickly delivered a replacement for a microphone that was not functioning properly on set, and provided us with extra connectors we requested, free of charge. As someone who has worked for and with several rental houses in the area, I feel they stand out from the rest while offering competitive pricing for their market.

Found Lighthouse on google when I searched for a place to rent a Steadicam Merlin. The equipment was in excellent condition. A staff member at Lighthouse even explained how to use it since it was my first time trying it out. They were understanding when I needed an extra hour on my rental period and overall were very helpful.

So Im going to Africa in a couple of weeks & decided to get my GoPro hero 5 looked at. I Google authorized GoPro repair center & Focus Gear comes up. I had about a 20min window to make it there, but none the less I did. I accidentally broke the charging port door & needed it fixed before my trip. So I tell the gentleman what the issue was (& you can tell by his energy he had no interest in helping me) & he tried to fix it. He kept telling me to get go pro care blah blah blah. What got me more upset than anything thing else is when I asked him for a charger to see if the device would power on he said he didnt have one. I just find it extremely hard to believe that a CERTIFIED GOPRO REPAIR CENTER doesnt have ONE charger to test potential devices. Imagine the Apple store telling you the samething??? His energy spoke volumes & body language doesnt lie. To make matters worst I went on Google & was able to fix the issue. Its a common issue amongst all their hero lines & it seems weird that a CERTIFIED TECH wouldnt know that. Before you waste your time or money contact GoPro or youtube. YOU GUYS SUCK & I HOPE YOUR BUSINESS FAILS.

It was really awful. When you pick up the gear, the stuff were all good. But it turns out, the gear dont really work, and when you drop them off, you explained the problem, they refused to even check it for you!!!! Awful place!!!!! I hope you dont go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
