This shop is very clean and the owner seemed very nice. Everyone was friendly. However, my haircut took 1.5 hours for a short haircut and it was not what I asked for. The barber, John, cut it way too short and didnt listen to my requests. I basically spent $30 and 1.5 hours to get a buzz cut. Very disappointing. I would have a hard time recommending this shop after my experience, even though it seemed like a nice place.

Awesome barbers! Got my hair and beard all trimmed up for a wedding. I enjoyed chatting with them while they did their work.I was surprised by how much it cost, but I looked around at other shops websites when I got back to my room, and Decatur actually has the cheapest prices around.

Love the quality and convenience of Canal Place Barber Shop. Ive been a loyal customer for about two years. Sharon is a just one of the most pleasant people you will encounter. She gives a great haircut at a great price! Her place is comfortable and immaculate. Appointments are never a problem and she always finds a way to fit me in a pinch. Other places I used to go to were getting to be a hassle with days & hours, making appointments, wait times (even with an appointment), and staff turnovers. Consistency, reliability, and courtesy rule with Sharon and Carl.

The manicure and pedicure was amazing!!The best view from the pedicure seat.... 3rd floor window view of canal street......The price is great... the service was impeccable.... and the wife was happy.......Ithat was worth more than what they charged.And Carl was a pro at Cutting hair.I have a very unique hair style and he nailed it... complete professionals!!

I got a haircut and beard trim from Carl. hes a good barber. was shocked at the $45.00 + I left a $5 tip so an even $50 price tag. but 3rd floor mall rents arent cheap so you pay for convenience I guess. I live near Washington DC and the most you will pay is $27 for the same on Capital Hill. NYC is also less than $30 so Buyer beware.

If you are a man, its okay to pamper yourself. Not only can you get a great haircut, but also a great facial, mani or pedicure. Oh, and a shave! Great people, friendly and attentive.

Got a shave here. He took great care in detail, used hot towel frequently, even used a cold towel at the end, and at the end he even gave a touch up around the neck and ears. Best shave so far, better than Knockouts by far!

Way overpriced, make sure to ask prices because they dont post them for a reason. Haircut was good but not for the cost.Edit - Owner replied that their prices are $25, someone should tell that to the guy that charged me $40.

I was in town on business, staying in the French Quarter. I needed a haircut and found this place. I was able to walk over to it and got right in. Very friendly and they did a great job.
