Went to a concert there this weekend. Obviously it’s in a good location but the traffic getting out was a cluster. There was no localized spot for ride shares so our driver had to ride around the entire arena to find us…during the concert, I had to get up to use the restroom and forgot my mask (I’m not from New Orleans so I’m not used to the mandatory masks inside). When walking back to the restrooms, there were 4 staff members (ushers and management) standing there watching. But when they saw me without my mask they then proceeded to literally scream at me for not having it on. This is in no way people should be treated, locals or not. I sure as heck didn’t hold my tongue though. I know this will probably never been seen but people need to be reminded how to treat customers. Anywhere else we went in the city was courteous when asking for our vaccine cards.
Went for Eric Clapton. Well organized. Covid check was smooth. Overall great experience as usual
Acoustics were awesome! Sightlines were good with the large viewing screens!
They arent trying their doing! Event staff is bar none. They treat people like they want to be treated and very professional. I havent been to the arena in a while. I was impressed. So thank yall and see you for the next event!
Very nice venue. Food is pretty lack luster and for the price you are paying.
According to the Smoothie King Arena the show must go on...even though there are no hotels or restaurants open in New Orleans, its currently considered a federal disaster area and they are under a flood warning from the second tropical storm in 3 weeks.
Liked this venue!! Medium sized and cozy.
A Pelicans game was a must do for my brother and I because we are huge basketball fans and Im glad we got to experience Smoothie King Center. Man oh man, this arena is amazing from the color combinations in the displays outside to the atmosphere inside. This is a must visit arena for any basketball fan. This arena was super clean inside. This just so happen to be Carmelo Anthonys first game back in the NBA so we got to experience 2 great things in one night!
Great facility! Don’t like the fact of stars being set down ( load management) when fans still pay good money to watch a subpar game. There should be a for warning of such to give the fans the option to come watch a game with out big names. I drove 12 hours from Indiana, to witness zero highlight plays!? Was not exciting to watch at all! Very disappointed by the outcome.
This was a very nice basketball arena. I have been here a couple times and the experience has consistently been good. Concession prices are reasonable and the staff was professional. The stadium was clean and most importantly, I enjoyed the game! Most recently, I saw the Pelicans Rockets game and even though Harden Westbrook or Williamson did/could not play, it was a great game.
We went to the New York Knicks vs. the New Orleans Pelicans Regular Season Game at the Smoothie King Center. The tickets were relatively cheap, and the seats were terrific. The view was incredible. However, their purse/back bag policy is highly restrictive, with no option to store any back bag, which is why you see many people emptying their purses and back bags and just throwing them into the nearest bushes. The staff was rather unfriendly; they seemed impatient and annoyed at customer requests. All in all, a venue with potential but still some way to go.
All I can say is thanks to the security guards that showed me an my family love on the #harlemglobetrotters tickets
We went to a Pelicans game. The staff was so kind and helpful. Everything from the clean seating to the friendly greeters and ushers was absolutely first class. The effects are hi tech and exciting. Truly indicative of a professional venue. I can’t wait to go back!
I love it just went to training and took my test to work the seasonal games and concerts and whatever my city given it will be my second season not bad who that said they going to beat them saints order pelicans smoothie King and Mercedes-Benz thats just changed to Caesars
Loved seeing Clapton. Great venue
This is a great basketball arena to see the New Orleans Pelicans. Boogie Cousins and Jrue Holiday were fun to watch do their thing. The staff was very helpful. I accidentally lost my umbrella between some of the pull-out seats, so it fell about two stories, and they went and fished it out for me. The NBA family lounge area was really nice, too.
Clapton concert. Amazing show!
Saw the Red Hot Chili Peppers here, seats were average, but the center is made for midrange concerts. Probably 20 to 30 thousand people. Staff was friendly and helpful, acoustic was good, didnt feel crowded. It did help that the Red hot chili peppers sounded awesome. I would recommend this to anyone as a concert venue
This place is freezing. There were only 1,000 in the stands and the AC was blasting like there were 20,000. I asked the usher if I could move, because it is so cold and he said, absolutely not. I left the game, because it was unbearably cold. Smoothie King is just the sponsor, its not where they actually make the smoothies. No need for it to be that cold. I missed a game that ended on a last minute shot, due to an indoor game being cooler than a December football game in Green Bay. When we exited, it was 78° outside, we told the staff outside they are lucky to be outside, they said yeah, everyone is leaving, because it is too cold. The Pelicans should have done something. No one cares there and thats why they cant even get 1,000 people there.
Fly Pels fly. If you want the bang for your buck head to the second floor and get the urban south holy roller. You’re paying 10$ for the same size beer with a higher abu. Better beer but the same price for a coors light. You’re welcome. Also, fly Pels fly. Won’t bow down. Jrue Holiday is the best kept secret in the NBA.
The Smoothie King Center is a great Arena. My seats were in the 324 section; however, I was able to see the floor quite clearly. Not only that, on each seat whats a t-shirt for each ticket holder. It was a wonderful sight to see the entire place in Pelican colors. The sound system was wonderful as well everything was clear Sight & Sound. Let me just tell you, the air conditioner really works inside it was quite chilly; however, it was better than being too warm.
Not great. Saw Pelicans v Warriors. Good game, but the venue leaves a lot to be desired. Sorely needs an upgrade.
Their smoothies are big and tasty, but it doesnt taste like real fruits!
I had a great time while I was here, food is a bit pricey but I guess like any other stadium. The view is good from almost any seat but the space between the seats is a little tight. So for me at 6,2 it was a real issue just thinking about going to the bathroom or for someone to go in front of me made me nervous.
The arena was very nice & updated. Im from Detroit & I was impressed
Good view from any seat, the Pelicans are very talented/entertaining and the location is an easy stroll from downtown/French Quarter.
Great place to see and listen to a concert. The seats were comfortable and the acoustics were pretty good. The facility was clean and modern. The full service bar was not ridiculously priced as some other venues. It was painless getting in, but exiting was a different story. There werent any clearly marked exits, and we felt like cattle being herded to slaughter.
Modern. Great food choices. Clean and friendly staff
Good venue for concerts. Was there for the Queen concert. It was good. Sound and light show were good.
Well organized for covid times. Implemented and maintained everything we need to feel safe and with the game. Pelican even won :)
Awesome stadium. Saw the New Orleans Pelicans vs OKC... Great crowd participation. Plenty of giveaways if u can catch them. Good food little pricy but thats to be expected at a stadium or event. Traffic was not that bad for me but I arrived about 15 min late and left about 5 min early..
Great venue for concerts and events. Close enough to see the stage from anywhere
It was great and protocol for masks were greatly imposed...had fun and would have given 5 stars if not for the hard chicken i paid $10 for.
WWE WRESTLE MANIA was an awesome event my sons and I enjoyed all of the events!!!👍
Great seats, great game, wonderful night out with my wife. It was a treat to see the Celtics down here in NOLA, and to see them completely dismantle the home team. Sorry Pels fans...
Visited for wwe Hall of fame and nxt takeover. Very smooth entry and easy to locate my seats. Staff are helpful and friendly and the arena both nights was a great experience.
My husband and I had a wonderful time! An exciting game!!
Saw the Dead and Company show ... Good show. Great venue. Wish they lines at the bar didnt take so long on ground level. Was nice to be able to go out at intermission and sit by the fire and get some fresh air though.
Great venue, even the nose bleed seats provided a great view.
The staff was very friendly and it was easy to get around. It is walking distance from the warehouse district and French quarter (If you do not mind a walk of a mile or so). It can easily be reached by walking up Poydras from the tourist area of the city. Sightlines were good and concessions were as expected for this type of venue.
The Smoothie King Center hosted the SEC gymnastics championships last weekend and we were able to attend. The arena was clean, the bathrooms were clean (even though there was no paper towels). The workers were (for the most part) pleasant. However, expecting a throng or very excited fans to leave within 10 minutes of the event finishing and rudely moving them out isn’t cool. It put a sour taste in my mouth after a fantastic evening and otherwise good experience at the center.
Saw KISS in concert in their End of the Road Tour. Great night.
Great environment. Took forever to get my nachos and beer though. 🤷🏻♂️🙄
Great sport menu they really have it together enjoyed it very much Ill definitely be back to see more games
Love it Here! This is My Son and I to go Place!! ❤️❤️❤️Pelicans Rock!!I recently went to the 4:44 concert here Jay Z was phenomenal everything was perfect!!
Great venue and wonderful customer service! Concert was fantastic!! ❤
Nice arena, not so good basketball team.
Micheal Buble was in concert here last night. It was WONDERFUL! The sound quality and light show were great! The Smoothie King staff were super nice and the seats were comfy! They only allow clear purses. I found it best to put my cash and phone in my pocket and leave the rest behind.
Great staff and easy access. A bit far from local restaurants and tourist area.
With the round stage in the middle for Jay-Z concert, the seating arrangement was amazing. Everyone had a great seat!
Real fun place. The upper level sections can turn into a dance party if the pelicans are supplying the thunder, can’t say I was super prepared for that but man was it entertaining.
My first professional basketball game took place here at this arenaHad a great time! Fun atmosphere, felt secure inside, great seats for an even greater price! No complaints here ^_^
Need to update time of opening!! Getting our 2021 Monster Jam Tickets for this yr 7-31-21. Yahooooo!! ❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🤍
Nice venue; very secure, as they are taking all safety precautions seriously to protect their guests.
I enjoyed myself! Fun fun fun, the only reason my it I gave it for stars is because the food wasnt tastey.. However I enjoy the game. .. even the people around me was fun. .. A great way to meet people. .. Who knows .... I love people and converse with about 60% of the people around me. . Lol
The family had an awesome time, especially my son, hes a big Lebron James and Zion Williams fan.
Go Pelicans
It was a great experience, however, the floors asst the seats were so sticky like a movie theatre. Other than that, it was great. The concert was excellent. The staff members were professional as well.
Such a great place to catch a concert. The concession is a bit expensive but it’s definitely a great venue.
The seats are to small but still a great venue no matter what you go for
What a great venue! Despite the rain for the Bayou Country Superfest free show Saturday, they changed from Champion Square to the Smoothie King Center! And that was one of the best shows we have been to. The sound had a few issues, but the acoustics were nice! Randy Houser put on an AMAZING show.... Michael Ray rocked the crowd....and Runaway June were simply fantastic! Great job Smoothie King
It was lots of fun! Plus the arena is very very clean! But the food and the drinks are very expensive.
Game was fantastic, getting back to the hotel 2 miles away with absolutely no help from the multiple lyft drivers that magically disappeared.Being epileptic with a partial deflated lung was not okay .
Great show with even better company.
Great arena to watch a NBA game at.
As long as its pretty clean and keeps having great concerts and games, its good in my book.
Great concert and staff!
