Mid June 2021 I was visiting NO .My C class Mercedes needed a tire sensor. Mr Schoen took my vehicle into the shop Monday morning and a few hours later the job was completed. The price was good and the service was top notch. Having car trouble when youre traveling alone can be very stressful, but Uptown Imports made the experience easy . Thank you Billie❣️

I brought my 09 Mini Cooper here about a year ago for overheating. Mechanic was great, worked with my warranty, fixed the water pump and the thermostat.About 6 months later I brought the car back in because the check engine light was on and it was acting funny. I dropped it off and asked them to call me when they figured out what was wrong. After calling several times I showed up trying to see what was up. They informed me that they already ordered the part and were going to fix it tomorrow. I got upset because I didn’t authorize this and no one had told me anything when I had called. I told them just to give me the car back and they said I had to pay a 125$ “diagnostic fee” which was literally just for the 5 minutes it took to hook the car up to the code reader and have it tell them I needed an o2 sensor. Pep boys does that for free.I was going to chalk the whole thing up to mechanics being mechanics but it’s a year later and my car overheated because the thermostat is leaking, which I’m now going to have to pay again to get it fixed. Honestly just an overall bad experience.

I wouldnt buy another car from here if my life depended on it. Barely a month after purchasing a vehicle, the TRANSMISSION pump goes out. I call the dealer and get referred to a transmission shop that they always deal with (dead giveaway). This guy tells me 2,500 to rebuild the transmission. I call dealer back. He said he would contact the transmission shop to see if he could help me out and call me back.... That was THREE AND A HALF MONTHS AGO. at least be real and say you purchased as is SUCKER I can take that TRUTH better than, Ill call you back after I talk to him... I WAS ASSURED that the vehicle was in great condition because he knew the sole owner personally and was sure she took care of it..... Cmon man. Didnt offer to help fix it, give me a different vehicle. Even a cheaper one. As long as it works... Cmon man. Now Im stuck with a car note and insurance on a vehicle that doesnt run until I can afford to fix the transmission myself.

This guy is awesome...saved me a ton of work with one sentence call your insurance company never figured water damage to an electrical system would be such a nightmare, and now that the insurance co has the problem, I can stop worrying about it. What ever my son ends up driving in NOLA, if it breaks, Im telling it to bring it here. Love the honesty! Thanks!

If you drive a FIAT I highly recommend them for any type of service. The closest FIAT dealer is 320 miles from NOLA and Chrysler is owned by FIAT but does not service FIAT; I recently found out when I broke down. I towed my car to 2 separate shops only to be told they couldnt work on it and even went as far to call FIAT to find out who I can take my vehicle to. FIAT told me theyd get back to me in a few days...maybe, they have yet to get back to me 1 week later. With no where to turn I googled import auto service and out of a few results I called up Uptown Import and they took care of me without breaking the bank. After 4 days of trying to get my car repaired they fixed it in less than 1 day. I cannot express how thankful I am.

I only called for a quote on an oil change. I’ve dealt with them once before and I decided to try them out again. The one time I dealt with them they capped my oil in my Audi A4 off and charged me about $25, a little overpriced, but whatever. So today I call to get a quote for an oil change. It was $125 per service hour, which it would only take an hour. Then he stated I would have to pay for the oil and filter. I buy oil for my car for $7 (Castrol 10/40). He stated the oil he would use was around $9-$11, plus a filter. All in all he never gave me one price, he just kept beating around the bush with a total. So what I got from that was more than $200. Audi charges me $169. I told him that and his response was yeah you’ll take it to them and they’ll charge you that and then find $5000 in problems. I informed him I take my car in for regular maintenance. He stated well yeah I would just bring it to them. Me: well yes, duhhh. Why would I pay y’all over $200 when Audi charges me $169 plus a mini detail for free? Any response they come back with is irrelevant. I never leave reviews but I feel like he was trying to get over so I had to. All of the reviews I see are complaints! I agree with 1 star 100%. Bad business. Period. Never never never shop here people. Trust the reviews. Not there responses. Any business owner will defend there business. That includes shady businesses too!

THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE! DO NOT COME HERE! THIS IS A SCAM. I was lied to every step of the way. I brought in my mini cooper to get the O2 sensor replaced and they quoted me $325 for the part and said that was the lowest they could go and they go directly through auto zone for parts. I called auto zone on Earhart to get a quote on the part and they told me it was $180. I then called back and told her that they were uncharging me and they said We can work with $180. Five hours later they told me that the part was no good and that they would have to overnight ship it from Texas. I asked if the price would remain the same and they said no it would be $280 and that there were none in New Orleans. I called OReily Auto Parts and they said there was one in Kenner, LA and they could have it here by the next morning for $180. I then called Uptown Imports back and they said they dont do work with OReilys but if I bought it myself they could then install it for 2.5 hours of labor plus diagnostic fee. I got to the shop to take my car back and he said they had to put the old one back in and after 15 minutes it was already reinstalled. I will never come back. Do not come here. They will lie to you every step of the way.

I was over-quoted more than $150 for a simple part on my mini cooper. After they quoted, me I called Oreilly to verify the price, and the sales associate informed me that the price I was given was unmistakably and ostensibly high. They deal directly through new orleans auto parts shops (autozone, etc.), but will charge you almost double what the parts actually cost. Additionally, they keep your car extra hours and lie about the number of hours in labor in costs to fix the issue. I was quoted 3.5 hours of labor for a 30min fix. NEVER COME HERE. They deal in overzealous quotes, malicious lies and shoddy work. Trust your dealer. UPDATE: O’Reilly had the part in New Orleans for more than $100 cheaper than quoted. I replaced the part myself at O’Reily in only 2 minutes. I was told the repair would take 2.5 hours. Kali did nothing but lie about the repair. The upstream O2 sensor in a 2011 Mini Cooper clubman is one of the most accessible parts under the hood. All you need is the correct socket size and it takes 2 minutes to replace. Don’t lie to your customers and prey on ignorance.

Im from out of town and picked up a screw (and a flat) . Made some calls to firestone and such who wanted the car for a couple of hours before even looking at it.Bill was very helpful and friendly. Within 15 minutes he worked on oi himself and had me on my way!I have a new mechanic in New Orleans!! YEAH!!!BTW dont go to the speedee lube on St Charles! Had an oil change there once. They did not screw my engine plate back correctly and it fell down on the way to TX.They never apologized, owned up to it or offered a refund.
