They completed the job 45 minutes ahead of schedule. They were straightforward and professional. A friend of mine whos a mechanic told me what I needed to have done before I went in. I was curious to see if the staff would try to sell me things I dont need. Meineke said the same thing my friend did and the price was $25 less than what I expected to pay. It was exactly the kind of experience you want to have, especially the first time at a new place. I will definitely go back and would recommend
Car was over heating and i took it in to be looked at. Gentleman was very nice and explained to me what was going on with my vehicle. I was able to get in and out fairly quick.

Stopped in for air loss in tire while on a road trip. With no appointment they had me in and out in 15 min and fixed my tire. The staff were extremely helpful and nice! 10/10 would go back again!

I came in as a new client and ask for assistance from a gentleman that was sitting in the client’s waiting area playing on his phone. The man barely looked away from his phone. I asked for help 4 times and still he would even attempt to see if he would have been able help me. A friend was on the phone as well and asked to even talk to the gentleman. He was more focused on getting me out of the store so he can go back on his phone.
Great service- ask for Dan! He knows what he’s doing and never tries to rip you off. Always professional, friendly and HONEST!! The only reason I’m not giving them five stars is because the company sends a text too early in the morning following a service.
Just went in for a tune up for a 2011 car it cost $1365. After an estimate of 900 which is still high, make you do your research on the part for your car. They got the coils worth $717. I feel there was cheaper options, I should’ve done my own tune up. Customer Service is great.

Very good experience. Had a car emergency and they where able to repair the vehicle the same day. I was overwhelmed with the financing and the manager John was very empathetic and worked with me to get the best possible price and stay under my budget. This place is great if you had a emergency.

They know me well. They broke my car by not resetting a brake switch. For 2 days they blamed the guy who did my brakes in 2018, the valvoline next door, me for getting faulty work done somewhere else, and finally they brought me in the garage for an experiment in the garage proving my brake fluid was contaminated. 2 days spent with a bunch of thieves. Car was towed to dealer who advised that everything they said was a lie. They never reset the brake switch. They refused to refund any labor cost. Their destructive, damaging labor. My car was returned in worse condition than when i gave it to them. Yet no refund? When i called the owner/ manager to tell him their screw up, he seriously said, my condolences but no refund.Im taking them to small court. Ill update afterwards.
I brought my car to the guys at Meineke and described how my car sounded like a truck. The gentleman assessed my problem and fixed the damaged flex pipe. It was a little pricey but fast, efficient and right is what I look for and got with these guys.

I came in for headlight low beam bulb replacements. The person at the service counter was not wearing his mask during my visit and coughing on his hands without an attempt at washing or sanitizing them. He stated and charged me for two hours of work, but only took 45 minutes to do the job. There was no adjustment on the pricing at all. He didn’t seem to customer friendly either, displaying a slight attitude with questions. More than likely, I will not be visiting this location again.Update: I was charged for two headlights, but only received on replaced. I went on a vacation after getting the light fixed, so I did not see the lights until after. This is definitely disappointing and I will be lowering my review even further.

Love going there, I live in Dover and will purposely pass the Dover Meineke just to go to the New Castle one which Ive been going to for years and for my last few cars. The guys there are great and so is their business. They are like a huge family getting the job done and having me laugh along the way. They help you with ways on saving money and will do their absolute best to work with you ! Thank you guys so much you are all very well appreciated !
This is a very expensive $150.00 per hour labor fee. I was charged 1.5 hrs of labor where other companies quoted 1 hr at $130.00 per hour at Pep Boys. I had very little choices, my truck was dead with a bad starter unit. I would not recommend Meineke to anyone.George Smith.
Walked in and the guy was playing some show on his phone. Had to talk over what he was watching in order for him to pause it. Asked about a tire change l/ repair and said his tire gauge was busted and suggested going to Pepboys. Would have bought a new tire there but off to Pepboys I go.

My college age daughter went to check her breaks, she was charged $2,700 to get her breaks fixed on a 2014 Volks Wagon Jetta. A store employee filled out and SIGNED a LOAN on her behalf! (On the loan it says a store employee is not to fill it out YOU are to fill it out. So this is FORGERY.) That night I find out that the loan has 144% interest and the total came up to over $8,000+. I called and confronted JOHNATHAN the manager of the store who admitted boldly on the phone that he FILLED OUT THE LOAN SIGNED and did not share/read her the terms of the loan, and did not let her SEE THE LOAN HE SIGNED ON HER BEHALF. He then hung up on me. I spoke to the general manager ROB who also backed up JOHNATHANS ACTIONS.. which was FORGERY. This place is shiesty, over priced, and obviously doing some illegal stuff. We have since filed a police report, and I will ride this case out. I’m sure we’re not the only ones who have been through something of the sort. I would not recommend ANYBODY go here. They will take advantage of you, if they see that they can.

The 2 guys there we super nice and awesome. i can definitely say i was very sad but then two brought light to my day! I brought my car in by 10a, got a call around 11a to let me know what was going on with the car & how much it would cost then by 2p my car was fully done. if anyone has a kia, i would recommend meineke 100%.

The guy at the front counter did not wear a mask, at all. I was there to see what was wrong with my car, the guy (at the front counter) said “I don’t have time to tell you what’s wrong with your car”. First, there was one car on the lift and 2 guys sitting around on their phones; second, it was an hour before they closed. So, I said (to myself) maybe this is a race thing cause why is he being aggressive and rude? When I asked him what time did he close he said “Listen, do you have a hundred dollars for me to hook your car up, cause that’s how much it’s gonna cost!” At that point, I figured this was a race thing and I excused myself because I felt like he was being scary aggressive. I was only there to see what was wrong with my car, this guy was acting like I was on his personal property. I’ll never go back to this or any other Meineke.

My first time going to Meineke was a success . The staff was very respectable and on time with everything . They made sure my car was good before I left . I would recommend anyone to go there for their car repairs .
They over charge for EVERYTHING. Some things you don’t even need done and they will try to throw that in to charge you for it. Car needed a new catalytic converter and they were going to charge me 1500. Went up the street to Midas and only paid 900. They did the same thing on my charger last year tried charging me 1500 for a rear diff and it wasn’t even the rear diff that was messed up it was the torque converter. They are actually horrible !!!
Told me over the phone to come in and they would check my car out after advising I have a leak. What they didn’t tell me was that they don’t work on transmission leaks and advised me to take it to my dealer to have them check it out. Additionally no one there had masks and made me feel a bit uncomfortable while there.
Found myself out of town and away from my normal mechanic. Had a headlight go out and stopped in without an appointment to ask if they could replace it for me. Johnathan at the desk was courteous and funny, as was the other gentleman that waited on me. Fortunately they were able to get my car right in. They checked all the lights, found the tag light out and replaced that as well. Offered other services such as the 100,000 mile tune up as they had time to do it. I wasn’t financially prepared for the service that day but did have the antifreeze and other fluids changed out. The waiting area was clean and comfortable, they let me use their phone charger, and made a yucky snowy day a little brighter. I thought the cost was about on par (likely less than the valvaline type drive ups) and an overall good experience. Something about these guys seemed trustworthy, which isn’t always the case when you’re a middle aged woman with no car knowledge stuck in a snowstorm.
Damages were done to my car and it’s like pulling teeth to get them to fix the damages. It’s getting bad to the point I have to get a lawyer. I do not recommend this place! They will up charge you and then present you with a loan.

I went to the location in New Castle, De and I would never recommend anyone to go. I find it very disgusting and shameful that ppl try to got over on women and on top of that we are in a Pandemic. They went from telling me that you should change your rotors everytime you get breaks to trying to sell me 4 tires when I already purchased 2 tires from the same location just 2 months prior. Stating that I should always buy 4 tires instead of 2 because it’s a 4wd and now the circumference is off now I need all 4 done at the same time 🙄. I’m so glad that I know a little about cars because omg.

I would never go to the facility on dupont highway in new castle de the counter guy was very rude and nasty. Customers were coming back complaining about work they paid for and was not satisfied the whole time I was there. One tech took a customers car on a test drive for over an hour doing personal things. I would not recommend this place to no one. Poor customer service or should I say horrible customer service

Went to meineke yesterday because I was hearing loud noises from under my car. Thomas was there and after talking to him I felt better. Left the car and he called me soon after and gave me a detailed description of what was needed along with a very reasonable price of 250.00. When I picked up my 2005 camry it purred like a kitten.Thanks Thomas and the Meineke team.

I believe that I was grossly over charged for reconnecting a tail pipe with 2 bolts and not replacing the pipe itself. 300.00 dollars with a feeble attempt at a small reduction for military amounting to 290.00. I see this organization as a bunch of hustlers.

Im not exaggerating when I say that Ive been going to this Meineke for close to 20 years and Ive always received excellent exhaust repairs at competitive prices. From exhaust tips on my Corvette (3 times) to fixing/tightening/welding a cat back system clamped from another shop and not installed properly, to performance complete cat back systems on my Oldsmobile and truck, this shop has done it all exceptionally. I have even come back here after moving out of state. I can twist a wrench but when it comes to repairs and you need heat due to rust, just make it easy on yourself and leave the exhaust needs to the professionals at the New Castle Meineke.
I went in there for 1 thing and they told me I needed brakes and rotors that would cost 635.. I declined and went to the dealership and paid 300.. always get a second opinion because obviously the store on rt.13 in New castle will rip you off if you let them..
Excellent service. Talked me through the issue with my car. I waited and it did not take long. I was even able to see with the flashlight what the problem was. Definitely a good place to spend your money. I am now making Meineke my mechanic!!

We just got the car out of our usual mechanics shop the day before taking it to Meineke. Meineke said we had an antifreeze leak & required $900+ of repair by needing a new hose. We didnt take the bait & drove home to find that a hose was totally disconnected from which antifreeze was pouring out of the car. My normal mechanic said they price gouged us because we were two women with a BMW. That rubber hose does not cost that much to repair and it didnt need as much repair as they said it did. I will NEVER go back to them. Note: I have used them before in the past for another high end car & was probably ripped off then. Not doing it ever again!

Pricing was outrageous considering I supplied the parts. Dont go there unless you have money to burn. They have 2 sets of pricing structures, one for first time customers and another for frequent regulars. I heard the manager tell a trainee this 3 feet from where i was sitting.

Im that customer. 1st let say this Ive been a customer at this Meineke for about ten years. I have never had a experience like this. Johnathan the fill in manger or whomever he is. Needs a course in customer relations. Lets start from the beginning. I went to the shop on June 10th to get a estimate to replace my manifold and i had some front end suspension noise i wanted to find the source of the problem. I would like to thank Cj for figuring out the source of the noise. The bushing were bad on the right an left side front end yokes. He informed me that the yokes was a dealer only part. So it probably be better if i order the parts myself and they could replace them for me. So thats what i did. I order the manifold and the right and left side yokes. It toke about 2 weeks for the parts to come in. I was so excited when i received my parts. I called meineke store # 949 on Thursday July 2. I spoke with Jonathan and made a appointment for the next day Friday July 3rd. I dropped of the car at 7:30 in the morning Johnathan informed me my car would be ready for pick up by the end of the day. It was getting close to closing time and i havent received a call that my car was ready. So i call the shop around 4:15. Johnathon answered and said oh yeah we finished the manifold but we didnt get a chance to work on the frontend yet. He said were close tomorrow for the 4th of July but if you leave your car here we will jump on 1st thing Sunday morning. I was like ok thats fine i just want to get the work done. Heres another little piece to the puzzle.I have a 2014 Cadillac xts with the rear airbag suspension system. I rode by the shop on July 4th just to check and see if it was inside the shop. It was sitting up on the lift. Ok fast forward to Sunday July 5th. Im sitting at home i noticed it was 2:45 in the afternoon and i havent received a call from the shop. So i called. Thats When Johnathan went on a tangent talking crazy to me. Thats when i informed him he needed to calm down. I guess he thought i was going to be the one snapping that they didnt do any work on my car. So he wanted to snap on me 1st. I told him things happen in life. And that i understand you didnt have anyone to work on the car it was the day after the 4th of July. So after that was settled and he calm down. He told me they would jump on 1st thing Monday morning. Thank God i had already toke Monday off. So i told that fine he informed me to call he around 11 am Monday. So i had my wife call Monday the 6th of July. At 11 am because i didnt want to lose my cool. Johnathan answered the phone yes Mr. Brooks with an attitude. My wife informed him it was Mrs.Brooks. His attitude slightly change. He told her the car would be finished until 4. That a bolt had broken to come and pick up the car then. When we arrived at 4:15 the car was still on the lifted. Getting worked on. Johnathan was in the office sitting in a chair nodding out...smh. He said the car would be done in about 15min. I asked him about my frontend alignment. He said oh yeah ill take care of that soon as its finished. So my wife and i lefted and went to the store. When we came back 30 minutes later. Johnathan told me he couldnt do the frontend alignment because the SERVICE SUSPENSION LIGHT WAS ON. I was like what? When they brought my car out the rear was sitting over the back tires. They was telling my wife and i that we brought the car in like that. So we was going back an forth. I told Johnathan ant other guy in the shop how the hell could i have drove it here like that i was furious. They finally agreed and pull my car back in the shop. And said theyre going to see what happened. I didnt want to leave it there but i had no choice. I couldnt drive it. So on Tuesday July 7th. I get call around 11AM from Johnathan. The rear suspension air bag came out of place and unplug and it was their fault. FYI MY REAR SUSPENSION IS STILL NOT FIXED

The technician took my car for a 40 minute test drive. He changed my radio station, and made me late for work. The manager Roberts attitude is piss poor and not helpful at all.

So today I was driving down the road and my muffler fell off in the complete pieces the whole entire system fell off. I called Meineke and Newcastle and he told me to come in as soon as possible the managers name is Brian and he was very professional and honest and the price that was given to me was the price that I paid nothing more. The mechs and and managers at the new castle shop took care of my timing and solenoid problem. Their mechs were knowledgeable and confident they could fix the problem. Now my truck runs smoother than it had six months prior.

I have two totally different experiences with this shop in the past two days. The first one was awesome! Hint, the reason for the 3 stars. The second, not so much. I receive a quote for the replacement of a 02 sensor. The part was quoted at $280. I found the exact same part at Advance Auto parts store for $72. I asked the clerk/mechanic if I could get the part after I purchase it put on for the same $50 quote for labor. He said no it would be $100 Needless to say, I put it on myself because after checking it would only take 1/2 hour to take off the old one and put on a new one. Needless to say, I decided to put it on myself and had no problem.

Mad an appointment on Saturday to have my breaks serviced on Sunday morning. When I arrived they were prompted about getting me in, they didnt try to sell me more services then I actually needed. The service team was friendly and the prices were fair. I definitely recommend this location for your service needs.

♢ My tire had a nail in it- the repair was $25 to patch the hole and take the nail out♢ The worker patched the hole♢ He said the tire light turned off and said to not worry about the cost- he said it was on the house.........♢ Later on I found out that my valve stem was broken/faulty and LEAKING ALL THE AIR. My tire went flat! Before I went into this location- my valve stem was in perfect mint condition. ( no wonder he didnt charge me)♢ My tire went flat and I was left stranded because of service from Meineke... Now I have to wait for them to open in the morning because they closed up shop by the time I figured out my tire went flat.♢ I need my valve stem repaired- The tire cannot hold any air.I went back a second time to have the original “repair” repaired because the tire went flat.I left and the next day the tire was flat yet again- 2 failed repairs! I called the manager and asked him directly .. was anything ever patched and he reluctantly admitted that he did not know if the worker actually patched anything or if their was a hole to begin with! (What a shame).My final resolution:I went to a different repair shop and they repaired my tire and found the hole immediately (the other repair shop actually submerged my tire to find the leak). Versus meineke who claimed to have patched something (blatant assumption on the managers part). I am frustrated for wasting my time and energy and trust into workers who don’t realize that their job affects another human beings’ safety on the roadways.
