Wouldn’t Waste The Time Just go to family dollar or Walmart They Are Never Fully stocked always look empty and ran down. Can someone tell me how dollar general are popping up every corner but can’t keep the store properly stocked

Caught the manager Sam smelling the shelf while sliding her nose to the right, asked her if shes okay and she gave me an attitude and stormed off. I dont understand why shes so mean. Everyone else who works there is very nice.

Can get everything you need in one store all at a really good price. I really like how its never really too packed with people. I am happy with the way the clerks are kind and treat you nice. I will always choose dollar general over Walmart any day.

Refused to buy anything the line was so long, some crazy ladie claiming to be the manager told me if Im not going to buy anything then never come back. You should really stop hiring drug addicts if you look at the store you can tell theyre not doing any work theyre just aggravating customers.

I like the fact that it is close to where I live. I was able to get. What I needed. I was able to get rung up quickly, there was one person ahead of me. Usually, the place has a long line at the register and many times only one cashier.

Very rude, so ghetto!! Nothing in stock !! The items here dont even compare to the Dollar general by CCSU, go take a look!

Only issue is trying to figure out where checkout line behind, and ends? Of course Covid 6 feet apart doesnt help. Otherwise, they always have what I need

Its a dollar store. If you dont get the concept, or need a review to figure it out, ask the first 8 year old you see to explain it to you.

Basic store, you’ll find what you’ll need for the most part. But it’s far from spotless & customers service is far from great. Last time I went the cashier couldn’t bother to get off her phone while ringing me out.

Everyone at this location was so awesome & helpful! Definitely the best dollar store Ive been to all month! (And i go to all 3--dollar tree, fam dollar & dollar general--stores...dollar tree is definitely the worst of them all, everywhere except qn st)

This store is always there for the times I need a single random item. Easy to navigate the aisles but it tends to get backed up at the register line.

Can find good deals for great prices

Lots of cheap prices on processed food. No fresh food items available, all frozen or packaged goods. Not all prices are actually cheaper than grocery stores. However, its open late and right near my neighborhood.

Quick shopping enabled.Great customer service from employees, bathroom always clean, the place is always fully stocked! The Con is when afternoon rush hour is going on they cant seem to have enough employees at a given time. The cashier should not be stocking the aisle one second the speed walking to the register the next! I mean what for! Have two people working per shift but have a third person come in every day at morning shift or end of shift for 4 to 6 hours to stock and unload the trucks!

It takes forever to check out, not recommended for quick purchases. Also the music is always loud in the food section, between the fluorescent lights and loud radio you cant even think its so bad. And to be perfectly honest the prices arent that much of a savings. The only reason I shop here is the convince of location.

Updated below1/4 of the aisle have been empty for about a month while they do a reset. The cash registers crash sometimes and they have to reboot the entire system to get it working again (so everyone has to wait for 5-10 minutes while it reboots). There is often only one person working in front during busy times, so the line is long. The people working there who I have interacted with over the past few months are great, so it seems to be just poor management.Reset is complete but still only one person seems to work there even when busy, so line is long. Registers are still problematic, and they didnt even have any bags today to put my purchases in.

This place in N.B. is always a hot mess... One employee was telling me the medicine I was looking for was at the shelf and I asked her where is it because I dont see it? And she walks over with an attitude and says its right there!... (Paused) and then says oh I thought it was there! WHEN REALLY YOU DID NOT HAVE THE MEDICINE!!! WHATS THE ATTITUDE FOR??!!

Just left this dollar general horrible customer service the guy at the counter keeps rushing us and had a huge attitude when I was using my digital coupons and the lady next to him did nothing to help will never come here again

It is 11-20-18 @ 9:45 am, I just walked out of dollar general and was absolutely dissatisfied. There is a pregnant young lady working in there who is acting like she doesnt want to be there at all. When I first walked in I slipped in the foyer area where the carts are, there wasnt a rug to wipe feet from rain or a caution wet floor sign up. I explained to the lady that they should have a rug there and she told me they couldnt have a rug there bc it would soak up too much water (i thought thats what rugs do). I went in to buy some hair gel and a soda, the store was completely trashed for it to be 9:30 in the morning. When I got to the register this man came in (had to be close to 80 yrs old) and explained to the lady that he had bought a magazine 2 days ago with a July date on it, she told him before he finished his sentence, that there wasnt anything she could do about it bc magazines dont have an expiration date, but everyone knows magazines are sold up to date. She acted like she didnt care what this man was saying and I truly believe his age played a part in why this situation didnt get rectified. I have been to many dollar generals and never experienced anything like this one. I will not be returning to dollar general on Arch street in New Britain until they get employees with better customer service skills. Word of mouth goes a long way and I will not be recommending this location to anyone either.

I love this store and not because its the closest store to me but because most of the staff is very down to earth and friendly. The only issue i have had is that they wouldnt sell me cigs.. im 27 years old and i had an ID but it was expired. I guess its company policy but just because its expired doesnt mean my birthday is gonna change. So other than that one issue i love the store. They are always rearranging to make the store more organized n looking good.

Terrible store, very rude. Does not put your groceries in bags. The manager there Jenifer needs to reexamine these employees.Especially the one, her name is glasses, short hair, very rude, speaks Spanish all throughout the store. A disgrace.
