This was a great activity for a summer day! The rental cost $25 and included the shuttle ride. It is worth the price in my opinion. The float took about two hours to complete. The tube chutes were so much fun! The first one was a little more intense than I would have imagine for how calm the river was but it was the highlight of the float.

This is definitely a well run place. Great tubes and good shuttle bus back. The only weird part is keeping track of your license when it’s over. I left mine and had to return because there’s no reminder or anything. But this place is great and on a great stretch of river!

Great way to spend a Sunday. Very very refreshing on a Sunday in the Texas heat. The service was great. Lots of extra parking and theres a bus waiting to pick you up at the end of the river and bus you back to the parking lot.

$25 each tube. Memories to last a lifetime. Definitely worth the trip. My husband and I will come back next summer.

Had a great time. Rented tubes at 10, wasnt super busy. The Chutes were an awesome addition to the constantly moving lazy River. Took a 5, 9, 13 year old with no issues. (life jackets of course! They were free to use! )There were a couple places to stop for food/drinks along the way and you can stand up in a few spots too and take a break.Excellent adventure!

$25 to rent your floater. They able to hold your keys as long you leave your DL. They do not let you take cans. First time here and definitely will be coming back next summer!

Lots of relaxing enjoyment on this lazy river float. The scenery was great, the water temperature very comfortable, the folks at Texas tubes were friendly and very efficient. I will do it again next time I am in San Antonio.

Texas tube has a Rental agreement with river run condos thats very worth it especially since they are next door to one another. The owner is an amazing person, great big personality with a very business savvy mind. They have a good private river accessible stair set way before the 1st chute. Fast friendly staff willing to help. If I could I would give it more than 5 stars!

For what you need, this place provided what they say... tube and a shuttle. There should be better execution for lines waiting after the initial shuttle taking you to the river. There were so many people and lines everywhere. The wait was close to 1 1/2 hours from the time we arrived to the time we got our tubes. The place needs way more shade for people standing out there for that long. They need more staff to help with the amount of people out there on a Saturday. If youre a regular sized person, the tube is small, compared to a tube from Academy. If youre bigger, then I dont recommend. My husband is 62, 240, and could barely fit in theirs. The tubes dont have rope to link to your friends/family, so be prepared to rig something together. The experience was fine, but wont do it again. Not for $25/person.

Really friendly and helpful staff. They gave info on the chutes and the exit which was helpful for this first-timer Shuttle was quick and only had to wait for it once briefly (floated 3 trips). Definitely recommend.

I usually bring my own tubes when I float the comal... this time I thought instead of having to walk back to the parking let’s just rent. My choice of Texas Tubes was primarily because I saw their prices and they were cheaper than some of the other companies. I did not see tubes with a back rest which was okay for me. I got there right at 10AM Friday when they opened and was the first party out on the river. With all things considered I basically had the river to myself. The service and attention was great and I look forward to using them again if I need to rent.

Fun experience for sure but we prefer the Guadalupe. Comal is more blue/green and colder but the Guadalupe has a lot more shade, less rapids and just much less spring break party vibes. Altogether fun time but dont know if Id go this route again.

Amazing float! All the tubes have cup holders, you can get a river style trash bag to do your part, the Rapids are short but thrilling, there are plenty of places to beach up and hang out for a little, and there is tons of parking! I highly recommend this float.

This place is amazing. I love the shower and changing room facilities. The bathrooms are clean as well. The price is similar to every other tubing place around Comal River. The shuttle service costs ten bucks after the first ride which is annoying. Overall, this place is amazing

We really enjoyed our time with Texas Tubes. The river access was simple, the chutes were fun, and the float itself was super nice and relaxing. We enjoyed the fully blown up floats and the easy rental! The coolers they have to rent are the perfect size for our jugs.The ride back was simple and fun, the bus driver really loves his job so it was awesome.We will definitely be using this company for years to come!I would just recommend bringing string or rope to tie your tubes together, since they do not have any in stock to sell.

River was clean. Service was great. Wish they would have reminded us no cans on the river. Later down the river officers threaten to ticket us if we did not get rid of our can beer. It was 25 bucks per tube. You get in right at the spot where you pay. The whole thing was only about 2 hrs 15 mins. There’s def other ones I been on that are longer. So it seemed kinda short. There are two points where the rapids get choppy so just hold tight at those parts. Other than that it was nice relaxing time. The bus ride back was great. Driver was great.

The staff was very friendly and informative. They have an air compressor for your personal tubes or will rent theirs to you for $25/tube. To park/put in there is $25/person which includes a shuttle back. Their location has two nice Cement areas to put in with ladders. Would definitely use them again in the future.

My friends warned me about the rapids but I really didn’t understand how intense it would be. I’ve been a lifeguard in the past and would say that I’m a good swimmer. I’m so thankful for the lifeguard who jumped in when she did because I was drowning. PLEASE wear a life jacket or get out and walk around.Even though I almost drowned and my tube popped I had a great time!

We went on Mothers Day, what a treat. During our vacation, we chose Texas Tubes because you can get in way before the tube chute, to prepare you for all the fun. This company was amazing from beginning to end. Plenty of parking when you show up at opening hours. Our driver greeted us at the top of the stairs and escorted our tubes for us women. Such a gentleman wishing us a happy Mothers Day. We didnt bring any cash with us, but be sure to do so, to give a great tip to your driver.

This was our very first time with Texas tubes, it was our first time going to the river, we went with my daughter who has been previously and is this company. We were told that it was much less expensive than it was to rent the tubes and have the shuttle service, even though we brought our own tubes we were still charged $25 for the day a piece. I feel like this was too much to pay just to be able to put your own tube in the water and get a shuttle ride back to your car.

Overall pretty good at Texas Tubes. I’ve only used them when going to float the Comal. It’s a nice spot to let in, easy tube rental, comparable prices, with a shuttle ride back. The offsite parking has kinda become the only parking these days, then they charge you $10 to park which is annoying. My group has just started walking from the parking lot, it’s easier than waiting on that shuttle.

It was really good. The first shoot was really rough. A lady flipped and her baby fall out. Our friend rescued the baby and the life guard rescued the mother. So please follow the rules no children under 5 allowed. The baby wasn’t breathing. But our friend rescued it .It’s really a great friendly place to enjoy time together. Don’t be in a hurry float with it.

Fun time on the river with my family today. Friendly staff. Watch out with that first tube shoot, if you panic in turbulent water, or are not a strong swimmer, it would be best if you walk across the first shoot. Happy floating!

It was great! My mom,brother,and I went after it rained. (The day after it rained) It was nice and full. A bit of an arm workout if you’re short like me but it was still really fun!😁 Amazing👌

First time going there is a bit confusing. There was a staff member holding a sign charging people $10 to park in parking lot of a church. We park, collect our things, and proceed to look for the staff member to figure out where to go from there. The staff could not be found.there were 4 groups of people just standing around confused about were to go. After approximately 10 minutes of waiting for the staff member to return, we had to call them to ask about the situation. Turns out we had to walk around the block and basically follow the train tracks to the sales building. Meanwhile 6 to 8 cars parked in the same parking lot for free. As far as service goes, it was simple and fast, buy your tube, get your tube, jump in the water. They need clear posted signs on where to go, and consistency on charging for parking, so customers dont feel lost, confused, and taken advantage of.

Simple enough! I would recommend some better signs on how to get back into the water for those that need to get out and walk around the rapids. But for those that can ride it out it was super fun. Bring an umbrella and a waterproof floating bag!

My wife and I enjoyed it tremendously. Saw a couple of youtube videos and Texas Tube stood out the most. I highly recommend going during the week. You float down a long lazy river at the commel river, for about 2.5 hrs. Good fun fun

Right on the river and you get into the river earlier than most of the other rental locations. Very convenient. Parking can be difficult if its busy but its a great place.

$10 for parking then $25 will get you a small uncomfortable tube with a shuttle bus ride back. From the time we arrived til we actually got into the river was nearly 2 hours from all the long lines. You will have to wait in line twice, once to get a wristband then again for a tube, not to metion waiting on shuttle bus. They dont tell you no disposable drinks until youre already there then you either have to throw it all out or spend $15 on one jug. Me and my wife spent nearly $100 after said and done for a mediocre river ride. would recommend going else where.

Be very careful to tie kids with your tube . They don’t have many ropes to tie so will be better to carry yours . Kids can easily get away with flowing water and can panic. Lifeguards are useless at this place, my 5 yr old panicked and I asked for help - she clearly said she cannot jump in water and I am on my own .

Great place to put in to the river, $20 bucks to ride the bus all day if you have your own tube. One of the furthest places up the river you put in to the river, and if you get Bobs bus riding back youre in for a most excellent early 2000s sing along while you ride back to your car.

Beautiful and fun place,water in the river is very clear,not in the pond. Bring water shoes,bring your own tube and pay the $5 fee so you can go whatever times you want in the slide quick.

This location is great, we paid $148 dollars for 7 tubes (literally worth just getting your own at Academy for $20ish a pop you can inflate them there for free) The river was really clean and its divided in 3 sections with 2 small Rapids in the middle.EssentialsSunscreen, water (booze) snacks and crabbing shoes lots of rocks.

So much fun but be prepared for the first tube chute!

I’m very disappointed about the age requirement. The Comal river has always been my favorite river to float. The scenery is beautiful going around Schlitterbahn. I’ve always gone with family members who would take their 3 year old children. Now this summer we have children around the same age and they changed it to 4 years old. I know there’s the lions club but this is one of the shortest river so I feel like it’s ok for a 3 year old who is accompanied by a adult. Plus they are wearing life jackets. Now our party of 14 family members has to be broken up since us Mothers of kids under 4 can’t float with them.
