The Catfish Haus was just perfect for our small party. The house was equipped with everything we needed like we were at home. This place is kid and pet friendly. Even as it rained and stormed for the first half of our trip, it didnt effect our good time because of the GRAND COVERED PATIO. The rushing sounds of the river just made it a more perfectly beautiful night. Their community pool area was just gorgeous and so inviting. On our last day I called to request a later check out and actually got the owner on the phone. He was more than accommodating and helpful with questions in regards to the final bill. We have found our new secret hide away! *BONUS* House included full size washer and dryer.

Perfect place to spend holidays with kids and family. Nice quiet location. Has a big pool and hot tub. We stayed in Redwood tree house. All major stores are nearby like Walmart, HEB and all major restaurants also nearby. Would recommend it. Tree house has kids play area underneath with swings, slide etc and kids will enjoy there stay.

My family and I rented the sunfish house for three nights to get a reprieve from the winter storm that took our power out for over 90 hours. it was so beautiful and warm and cozy and everything we needed was there. We really enjoyed it and we will definitely recommend it to friends and family and book it again in the future.

The scenic view of the water is awesome. The houses are individually its own theme of beach attire sort of speak and spacious. The pool Is huge my favorite as well as the hot tub.

Im giving this place a 5 Star Rating by taking into consideration that this is a river cabin not a 3 Star Hotel, the cabin is quaint and creeks when you walk on the wooden floor, perfect place for a quick getaway, there are fire pits, drum barbecue pits, gas grill, and a hot tub out back, plus plenty of seating and and umbrellas to keep you covered. Small children would have to be monitored closely in this particular cabin and if caution needs to be used when using the tub shower.

If you have not been here, it is well worth the trip. We came from Mansfield (fort worth area) and we were in heaven. We arrived May 10th and the summer crowd had not yet arrived, so it was quiet. Ive been in treehouses before, but never like this. This place exceeded all my expectations. We were a 2 min walk to the Guadalupe River and the pool was right there outside your treehouse. I only had 1 issue and that was the jacuzzi kept breaking down. The water was so cold in the pool/river due to all the rain and I wanted to relax in the jacuzzi, but these damn kids unattended with no parents nearby kept breaking it. Kids dont belong in a jacuzzi w/o parental supervision. Check out my pictures and you will be making a reservation

After 3 days of traveling on the road, arrived at the Kuelhler Cottage. I did not like it, it was very old and dated. The owner, Tom, showed us some other properties including a treehouse type of residence which I instantly liked and was happy to upgrade to. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at the treehouse. It had an awesome view that we enjoyed while a rain storm was going on (highlight). It also had an interesting pool that was available to all residences in the quaint treehouse community. It had the most beautiful scenery if you take a walk down to the river, the prettiest Ive seen on my entire trip. My dogs enjoyed the freedom of running in the grass without a leash for the first time ever; joy to watch. Wish we couldve stayed longer than 3 days, it was rented out, and we had to move to another property. Id come back in a heartbeat! Love New Braunfels, and staying in the treehouse made our stay extra special. Beds are super comfy too. Thanks for going the extra mile on such short notice Tom!

We just spent 2 nights here on a last minute trip with friends and stayed at the Laguna Vista Tree Haus. The house was a perfect size for a couple of families with kids, relatively clean, the pool was clean and quiet. Plenty of firewood which made for nice evenings around a fire, great wraparound porch to enjoy the spring weather. However if it’s a view or outdoor ambiance you’re after, you may want to look elsewhere. The homes are located on a scrapyard and surrounded by, well, junk. It’s barricaded off, but it is what you see when you drive up and see out the windows etc. Killed the outdoorsy vibe a little, but we were out and about most of the day and enjoyed our quick stay.

Besides all the damage containers around the area...is a very good place to stay and enjoy the time with special people out of the routine. See you soon!!

Very nice place to relax and have a fun time with the family. Only downside was that it only had 1 bathroom.

Great spot to enjoy the wilderness even though the city is just blocks away.. Nice pool area..cabin was nice, beautiful deck and nice area to bbq and has a nice fire pit area with chairs.. the Guadalupe entry is within 5 min but it looked like this area was best for the boat ramp and fishing there were a couple of benches down there.. In all great spot to get away from the city..

Booked a weekend getaway with 6 friends at the Laguna Vista Tree Haus and it did not disappoint. Tom the GM is an absolute pleasure to work with, and he was very hospitable. The photos on the website do not do this place justice. It is an actually treehouse and has a ton of space! The property is also amazing, and I plan to come back to check it out in the summer. Such an amazing place! The treehouse really felt like an actual treehouse with super nice and modern amenities. Huge and very clean pool, with lots of seating and shade and grills around it. Tom, the owner, was so nice and accommodating. Will be returning for sure!

Went the weekend after spring break so was only 1 other house rented out with a nice couple and the next day a couple with some small children came in so we had a very quite peaceful time. When we first turned off the road the view of the surrounding area was a little putting off. My wife and I looked at each other like where is the map taking us. Once we found it a further down the road we where pleased. The house we stayed in had everything but food for our stay which was nice. We had 8 in our party and we all ended up enjoying ourselves very much, was nice to sit outside with a fire and have no bugs when you are right next to a river and lake. As one said the photos on the web site are a lot better than what the place looks like now. Some of the furniture is different and little things like that. But hey everyplace I have ever seen like hotels and other places normally do that when they are new or remodeled, they do not go around taking photos every year. I called a few times and the landlord got back with me in both cases within a few minutes. We really liked it and can not wait to go back. No this is not a 5 star hotel or resort but then again for the price they are charging it feels like you are at a 5 star hotel. You must go to the Clear Springs Restaurant down the road, it is some of the best food I have every had. Again we loved it and you will too.

We rented Riverview Haus and it was perfect! Its an older home and it is not updated so for those who want something fancy - this isnt it. However, for what we wanted it was wonderful. The man who did our check in was fast and professional. They were very responsive to our emails and even offered a late check out if we wished since the house was not booked the following day! The backyard had a nice view of the river, and although it is super close to the interstate we couldnt hear anything from inside the home. We will be back!

Had the best vacation with my family in the tree house! Would come back again! Definitely would recommend this place to any and everyone! The house was clean, the pool and grounds were clean and well kept. The place is very private and the stars at night are big and bright!

They hired the best web designer and photographer. We called it the junkyard house. Literally... in a junkyard. Then when the mold filled roof started collapsing, they refused to let us move into another house. Even though only one other house had a reservation. There is no access to the river. I feel like we were scammed. The pool was nice, even though we had to remove beatles, cockroaches and scorpions to swim. Honestly, really not worth the money.

Best Texas vacay

We stayed in the Angler Haus for two nights in a romantic getaway. We were nervous when we first pulled up, theres a junkyard​ to your left, but you see the little houses on your right. The main bed with super comfy, but the futon in the living room that poses as a couch was really dead. I could count the ribs of the futon frame under my butt. So we just grabbed all of the pillows from the front room and lined the couch with it, that helped. We also used​ the community jacuzzi. That was fun but you could tell that it was old and all the buttons were tape down. It also had tons of algae in it and really needed a good scrubbing.The deck was nice, they have really nice washer and dryer out on the deck but bring your own washing detergent because they dont provide any.Overall it was a cute, quaint house with a lovely view of the river. The kitchen worked well, they had just about everything I needed. We really did enjoy your stay.

This place is amazing! So cozy, secluded, quaint, and relaxing. Just what my family and I needed. So much to do here and so worth the short trip. Very affordable and very clean accommodating facility. Highly recomended!

Please stay elsewhere. I payed a lot per night to stay here and I didn’t feel I got my money’s worth.1. Upon arrival, it’s so disappointing seeing all the junk surrounding the area. I did not feel safe.2. We are charged a cleaning fee but it’s obvious the homes are not cleaned well. There were dead insects, tons of dust and cobwebs in the house. I think if there is a $65 cleaning fee, then the expectation the home will be truly clean is set up from the get go.3. If you are still going to book, then the Redwood Treehouse has a nice set up. It does have all the things you need in the kitchen. The little secret way to get up into the tree house is great for kids. The pool area is nice.4. I would truly say book elsewhere.

Our stay was awesome. The cabins were lovely and very comfortable. The owner was friendly and courteous. Would go back and stay there anytime!

As we pulled up, it looked like a junk yard. When we pulled in to the Catfish house, we realized you get what you pay for. But we didnt expect it to be so dirty. There are so many little gnats under the stove vent. About an inch thick in places. They fly around everywhere in the kitchen. I would recommend the owners clean the drain with some bleach. The shower curtain and bath rug are disgusting. The shower curtain has mold and mildew all over it. I think the owners could invest in a few updates to help the customers feel like theyre not going to leave with any diseases. I think there is also a termite infestation as every day there were little pieces of wood that had collected on the side of the tub, in the same spot. We also had to buy two cans of wasp spray since there were 4 giant wasp nests on the deck. This place is horrid and very dirty. The towels were stained. I think the owners should be more upfront about what youre getting. They need to update the pictures and invest in some deep cleaning and a few updates. Shower curtains are less than 5 bucks.

We stayed at the Catfish Haus. Beds were comfortable. Full kitchen, but knobs were missing from the cupboards and hot water heater was turned down. Hard for a family of 5 to all get warm showers. Also ceiling of outdoor deck was covered with cobwebs, which we noticed after sitting down to eat on the picnic table.

We stayed here and the main house is huge and sleeps a ton of people. The pool.is right outside from every treehouse. Very unique and cool place far enough away from town where you feel like you are in the country but close enough you can get to places.

The houses look nice on the website but 1st experience with them- a call to ask Qs & book was quite offputting. Tom (owner? manager?) was rude, irritated & obviously inconvenienced by the call. Discouraged the stay since we are looking to tube or in his words be in the middle of all that mess. I wont be booking with them as he doesnt seem like someone id want to hand all that money over to. Good luck!

Good place to camp and 20-30 minutes away from the Tanger outlets of San Marcos. Gives you the best location for the area..

We stayed in the Las Palmas. The house was really nice. Two of the fold out beds were missing parts so they sagged really badly. Those beds really need to be replaced.Very disappointed in the surroundings due to all the junk laying around.The outdoor furnishings were really rough. Wicker was tattered, cushions appeared well worn, paint peeling, dirty,The place could be so fabulous if the junk were removed, outdoor furnishings cleaned, painted, refreshed, replaced, etc. Hot tub area could also use a clean up.The staff were always super good when I had any communications.

One of the most serene and beautiful places Ive been to in a long time, and the accommodations were excellent!

If i could give this place no star i would. Needs lots of maintenance. I know it the woods but if you rent it maybe make sur its clean out side and that the wasps are gone four wasp nests so my kids can go out side. Trees in walk way to house. I would never recomend this place . water was naaty.

Would have loved to have gone for our reservations this weekend, but issues were rampant just trying to make plans!* Pool: Website says its got a Community Pool. NOPE. Was told this morning my 4 kids cant swim in said pool because its only for the Treehouse.* Check-In Times: What are those? Seriously, they dont know. As anyone with a lot of kids can attest, taking trips w/kids requires planning. We were told, Uhh...well we dont really know. Why dont you call us Sunday & we can tell you what time you can show up.* Pets: I dont care if we cant bring our dog, but they couldnt tell us the size limit & said wed have to see it in-person. HUH?! Hows that even work? I cant drop him off at the vet bc I dont know the check-in time, so I cant give the vet a drop-off time.Im sure the property is lovely, thats why we booked it, but Im sorry - this lack of organization, and misrepresenting your pool as Community when its not, is anything but family friendly. To be fair, it may be due to the fact we used a Groupon - maybe they thought we couldnt afford the regular prices, I dunno. In fact, we were just using the Groupon to see how we liked it to potentially book a family reunion &/or cpl of weeks in the summer.Oh well, well find something else to do - an activity that respects our time - this weekend.

Guadeloupe River houses are no where near the river!!! Pictures on website & Facebook page are 10+ years old. You drive up to the houses and there is crap everywhere, old docks, campers, rotting old cabins & the river isnt even accessible unless you get the lakeside house. You can walk up to the river but that is it, but it is 2 football fields away. There is trash and stuff everywhere. Rotting dog food, old pool toys, rusty kids toys, are your impression when walking up to the tree haus. If I had brought my children, there is no way I would have allowed the to play on kids equipment. Pillows on the lawn chairs looked 20 years old, full of dirt.The interior to the tree haus was amazing & that is the only reason it earned 3 stars. It was decorated beautifully & was unique. The pool was well maintained in Feb. I was scared to use the hot tub, fearful of insects or reptiles would bite me. However the air conditioner had a loud whine. I texted the owners and never received a response. It was 90 degrees in Feb. really disappointed about that.I do not recommend this tree haus cloud #9, unless you are blind and freezing at all times.The first few pictures are of our view & the previous are from their Facebook page. Spend your money somewhere else. Eye sores everywhere at this place & they do not take care of travelers.

This is our second year to come to the same house we absolutely love everything about it next year we may have to rent two homes weve outgrown just the one.
