++ A sales pitch is a sales pitch no matter what the product. ++John was able to give an informed answer on the monthly cost and suggested the RED plan with the same carrier I already have. I was also told that there was excellent coverage in my location, but the cell tower only provides LITE coverage for my area. It’s so “lite,” that I had to hard wire a phone line. $$$$~ I live remotely and I’ve already gone through this exact experience with VERIZON....NO, actually they failed getting service to my house first.It was impressive that there wasn’t a wait for a live chat for what sums up to be sales, NOT, service.

I had an issue with an order that has been delayed over a month. I’ve been patient for while to no real solution. I was going to give them one last chance before I demanded a refund when the representative Samuel gladly gave me the answer I wanted to hear and was happy to hear my order will be shipped overnight with a tracking number. I felt reassured thanks to another representative named John as well for placing the order. These two deserve my thanks. They are truly great! Overall glad that this story ended on a good note.

Hello - Please keep this in mind when obtaining service from this vendor... I live in a seasonal campsite during the Spring, Summer and Fall in North Western, WI. The service itself is great.... but, when you want to deactivate your service during the winter months, due to the campsite being closed, you cannot do this. Nomad does not offer this option. In addition, the device you paid to obtain, you must return. This means in the Spring, I will have to repurchase a new router, as well as reactivate the service. I have been promoting this service to my felloe campers - but that will stop immediately.

I would caution anyone considering their services to look elsewhere. While the service they provide may be the best choice for your area...its not worth dealing with the terrible customer service and the money they take from your account while your equipment is in transit. Nothing is easy when dealing with these people. I was charged for two months of service I could not use because my account was cancelled. I was charged while my return equipment was in transit. Though I requested a refund several times, the refund never arrived. I have given up...its a lot of money to throw away but if the company will not return the money, what more can you I do? You can only contact them via email or chat and only during the weekly work hours. I was having to chat with them online during the week while I was working. Just a mess. Please look elsewhere if you care about where you spend your money.

After I placed my order I realized that I needed to change my ship to address and expedite as we are moving and will need a seamless transition of internet providers. I am very glad that I found Nomad Internet. When I first received my modem everything worked wonderfully for months. Then it stopped working (carrier tower issues, not Nomad). The wonderful customer service is via chat only so just know that. They replaced my modem door-to-door in less than a week. I just finished working with them to change carriers. They will continue working with you until you get the service that works in your area. I highly recommend their service. Your patience with customer service via chat only will be rewarded.

First three months were flawless until one day we started getting an error message that we had no data plan. Nomad promptly sent a new router / SIM card to have us back online in a few short days. The Support via Chat is excellent! I can always get fast reliable support whenever I need it. Very refreshing customer service in this day and age. Good job!

How is everyone happy with this setup? but we have paid for 5 months and it only worked for 2 weeks. they are more than happy to ask you the same 4 questions, but never fix anything. they however will replace it so you get the same 3 weeks of service.

While I know it is a little unusual to give 5 stars when having an issue with my service, however, I had a very wonderful customer service experience. My representative was Sean who was very prompt in fixing my issue and actually made the whole process simple. I was worried at first with everything being handled online, but that was quick put to ease with the online chat. I would recommend this service to anyone. Yes, I had equipment failure, but that can happen to anyone. The service itself has been great up til that point. Even so, Sean took great care of me and my replacement was on the way before the end of the day. Thanks so much Sean for making my day.

UPDATE.Nope! I ordered Deep Red and had my order cancelled with no explanation. It had been 10 days and nothing sent out. The email and refund said I cancelled but I did not..... customer service from Samuel and Luis. Sounds like a good deal and cheaper than satalite. I will update placing order today.

Im purchasing a home in a rural area and need a reasonable internet connection to work remotely. Nomad looked like one of very few reasonable options. I had several questions after reviewing the website and choice selections as the site is vague when it comes to actual expectations of attainable speeds.Logan was the lucky(?) gentlemen to accept my chat request and from the beginning projected genuine interest in answering my questions. Once Logan understood that the trial and guarantee, while important, were secondary to my basic concerns that will determine an investment in a home, he addressed my multiple questions regarding average speeds and data consumption.Logan was patient and knowledgeable and told me to ask for him personally if I had any other questions in the future. Thats a first for me.Im pursuing my home purchase based on this info and with positive results, plan to also invest in the travel router too.I look forward to adding another positive review in the future!!!

I placed my order on August 31st for the deep red plan and still have not received anything. I have been following up and have been told numerous times to be patient, its set for priority to we have shipping delays and it will ship next week. I have been trying to cancel and get my money back and so far they havent done that either. I would advise to research other options. For the amount I paid, I expected better.

Very good customer service from Luis Carter. I was expecting my order to arrive within 48 hrs. As it was stated on their website but came to find out that they ship within 7-10 business days not within 48hrs. I explained that I needed the router faster than that snd Luis spoke to shipping and assured me that they would expedite my order. Very polite and efficient. Nomad Internet is not anything I would suggest for anyone if they have other options. It appears they are also buying reviews based on all the 5 star reviews that have popped up over the days with a similar theme (Statement over how great the company is or was to them, I asked questions and *Insert name here* was great). The customer service, response times (Even after supposedly hiring more folks due to Covid - which appeared to be outsourced help), and even the basic end user interfaces have been laughable at best. I had my device and plan and was actively billed but the delivery status never changed from Shipped for almost the year I had them.It took almost a week to get a return label set up after I wanted to return my devices and cancel the service after moving (Thankfully somewhere with an actual ISP), and the customer service is very surface level. I dont believe there is a single technical person that works at this company, and as an IT Engineer this is frustrating as the solutions that are provided are something I find when I google issues for customers.The only merit I can provide is when I did get my device, it worked with practically zero issues, and only needed to be restarted a handful of times over the year I had it, which is typical of any device, router or hotspot so I can provide two stars for that. I would get written email proof weeks before for anything you do with this company, as I can seem them charging you even after canceling, and some reviewers have already stated this.

I live in Alaska, rather used to processing and shipping taking some time. Placed order Sept 7, 21 still waiting on the device.Customer service is great, ordered wrong plan first time and they were able to refund the incorrect order the next day. Theyve also been great for information on shipping and ensuring the device got out as quickly as possible.

Works as described. Support is fantastic. Only 4 stars because the order process lead me to believe I would receive a Nighthawk router. However, they seem to send whatever is available and definitely not brand name equipment. Just a simply misalignment of customer expectations. In the end, the system allowed us to stream shows from any app from our home. So I am happy. Price is in line with the industry.

If your reading reviews to see if this internet works.. It doesn’t and good luck communicating with them to cancel it. My first modem quit after 10 days. I contacted they said “oh yes sir we will overnight another modem.” 20 yes T-W-E-N-T-Y days later I received a replacement router. Plugged it in and the cheap Chinese junk wouldn’t even come on. So I’m currently out hundreds of dollars. Close to $600 to be exact to only have had internet for 10 days! I hope you find this helpful in your decision making.

After receiving my equipment that seemed to have an issue powering on, I chatted with Ryan Peterson who was a great help. Ryan had me take a few steps to troubleshoot the equipment but then quickly realized that the best solution was to send us new equipment. Ryan appoligized (though not his fault) and told me they would expedited shipping out new hardware and provide a shipping label to send back the faulty equipment. I wish all customer service was this helpful and easy. Great job Ryan!!!

Ive been investigating multiple option for Internet Access while im traveling in our RV and it was a little overwhelming with all of the various options. I found Nomad Internet and it seemed like a great product but still confusing on which one would be best for me. I opened the Chat and in less than 10 minutes, Luis Carter had summarized it all for me and I had the solution ordered and understood all the fees and rules - he really made the experience a LOT easier than the previous hour I was trying to do it myself everywhere - LOVED THE SERVICE.

Nothing but issues. Took more than a month and 3 modems to actually get working Internet. Worked great for a month or so and now out again. The answer you get from customer service every time we will send it to the tech and turn your modem off in 24 hours. Ridiculous you just have to go without Internet for 24 hours every time there is an issue. I would not recommend Nomad to anyone.

After many attempts to contact Nomad on chat, I finally got contact. I spoke to Ryan Peterson and he was an absolute perfect person to chat with. Ryans customer service was outstanding!! Mr Peterson took the time to answer all my questions, explained what plan would work best for me and why. This will be my 1st RV and my husband and I are very excited but was extremely worried about internet, data, conductivity, etc. Ryan Peterson was the person that put our fears away and explained that we had a trial period to use the service of NOMAD and if we didnt like it, we could return it, with a full refund. He also told us the length of time it would take from order to delivery. I wish everyone at your company had the same attitude and helpfulness Ryan Peterson had. I’ve been a customer for about a year. In that time, my equipment has been changed out 5 times. That being said, when the service works, it is way faster than any other option I have in my area. Also, I’ve talked to their customer service many times at this point and Logan North is the beat individual I’ve worked with. The representatives are very nice and efficient, but the only answer I get is that they are having shipping problems and it will be shipped tomorrow. Tomorrow comes, but it is still not shipped.

I had some ongoing issues with my internet service that I felt like I was getting the run around on when trying to get my subscription and account looked into. When Logan picked up my chat he was extremely helpful and diligent in his assistance and made sure to take care of my concerns in the moment. Obviously the reviews they have posted on their website are paid for. This is the WORST company ever. 1. While I had their service, I consistently had to reboot the router to even get it to work. 2. I have been trying to cancel my subscription and am having no luck. First, you have to return all of their equipment and they conveniently email you a link that does not work in order to get a shipping label. After multiple emails they finally emailed me the label. I have the tracking # that is showing the equipment was received and my subscription is still showing active. I have sent multiple emails with no replies. I have filed a complaint with the BBB in hopes that the subscription gets cancelled before the next billing, but to play it safe, I have notified my bank to stop payment on any future charges that come through and that it qualifies as fraudulent billing. However, this service is not free and I have to pay a service charge to my bank. I will live in the dark ages before I would consider using this company again.

By far the worst experience Ive ever had with an ISP. 3 months in, I have had service for maybe 2 weeks total here and there. They do not have a call center, they blame this on Covid and are super slow answering emails and chat. They promise help that never comes.I originally ordered the Deep Red plan since AT&T is the best service near my place. It worked fine for about 10 days and then started seeing error messages from AT&T saying that my prepaid plan has ran out of data and if I need more, I should purchase some. My best guess is that they buy pre-paid SIMs and spread the data use across them, but theyre either not buying enough or not paying AT&T. Since they couldnt get that working for me, they sent out a replacement router and SIM, but this time a Pink Plan (T-Mobile) which has never worked. Three weeks ago I was told they would FedEx yet another new router/SIM combo (Red/Verizon this time) which as of this writing has not shipped yet and it has been a full three weeks since my order was confirmed. They promise credits against my account, but so far all they have done is charged my card nearly $400 for 3 months of service that save for the 10-ish days has been for nothing.

This company is a sham. Go to the Better Business Bureau site and see for yourself. I only wish I would have done so before I got involved with these shysters. DO NOT do business with them. Their equipment stopped working after only 2 months of service, and its impossible to get anyone to assist with technical support. They dont even bother responding to your emails or chats. In the mean time they continue to charge your credit card for service you cant even get. Ive done business with bad companies in the past, but this one is without a doubt the worst. I give them one star rating out of generosity. If I could give them a lower rating I would surely do so.The only good thing that came from this is that I learned a good lesson... That is not at all the case.9/13/2021I don’t understand why the reviews are positive when they never respond to support requests. They have a bot on the site that says it’s a real person to get you to chat. Then you immediately find out that there is no real person, and it was a dishonest trick. I’ve tried reaching out 3x to ask about hotspots, and no one ever got back to me. They don’t need to trick people with a bot to get their money if they just provide good service from the start.

Weve been using Nomad Internet since July 2020 and we highly recommend it. The reason its only 4 stars is because of our age, we are more comfortable addressing questions via phone. Unfortunately, they dont have that setup but they do have chat and email which are both awesome. As far as the internet service it lives up to everything they claim. We love it!!

We have an RV in rural FL and cannot get hard-wired internet service. Our phones (Sprint--at the time) served us well and we were able to tether our laptops for seamless internet. However, data limits precluded use for more than two or three weeks. After researching Nomad vs Satellite, Nomad was our choice with superior bandwidth. Nomad was great about recommendations and getting us set up. They delivered the product within the time frame stated (it did take time to configure and deliver our device--ten working days), but activating the device and going online could not have been simpler. Recently, Sprint was bought out by T-Mobile, and our wonderful cell phone service vanished, or regressed back to 90s level technology. This was no problem for Nomad. I requested an upgrade from Strong Pink to Deep Red, and John Wilson from Nomad took care of the transition all through our chat. I will receive a pre-configured modem and a means to return the existing modem. All of my instructions were supplied via the chat. It was a surprisingly quick and painless process. I will review the service once I am online and have used it for a month or so, but I anticipate no issues as several of my coworkers use Verizon with no complaint. So far, I am very pleased with Nomads service. If there are any issues, it will be with the carrier, not Nomad.

Ive used this service for over a year. If you can get service from a provider, youre better off going to them directly. You cant speak to anyone at nomad directly. Youre service may shut off for no reason. Mine did once a month at least, sometime for days. My service went out long enough that I had to find a replacement so I could work.You can find a cheaper service with more honest data availability. Im still waiting to be reimbursed for the last half of a month not working and cancelling and they tried to charge me again. If you can use this service, you can find a better one already.*UpdateThey did charge me again after cancellation and claimed that I wanted a replacement. When you attempt to cancel the only option that will work is the replacement order. They wont read the note you put in telling them such, and will continue to bilge as much from you as possible until you contact your bank. If you have phone service, go to your provider and get a hotspot. It will work better and be cheaper.I wish I never did business with this company.**UpdateTwo months after cancellation and I have not gotten my promised refund for 2 weeks downtime nor have I been refunded for the charge after cancellation. I have however had to get a new debit card after they AGAIN tried to charge me. If you end service with these people you might as well change your banking info to protect yourself. Ive had to file a complaint with my bank to fix the damage this company has caused.

We have been using Nomad internet in Northern New Mexico for a year now and have no complaints. While it a bit expensive, its the best service we have found that allows us to stream tv while the kids play online games and while I use the service for my home office, all without any buffering or having to worry about how much data we use. We signed up with Nomad a few months ago. The price was $99, but within 60 days jumped to $149. It worked well for a few months, but then stopped working while we were out of the country. When we returned, I tried rebooting and only got error messages that we didn’t have a plan?!? They certainly billed me!! Contacted them via email and was told they needed to replace our equipment. Huh? Why didn’t they contact me and let me know they were making changes? Why didn’t they just ship me new equipment BEFORE our Internet quit working? Took 6 weeks to get the new equipment! Hooked it up and had issues with some of our devices because of the firewall settings. Lots of time and research to figure it all out. Long story short is that they gave us 6 weeks credit, but nothing for the inconvenience. The customer service rep actually apologized for not being able to make things right, because his management wouldn’t let him. I’m shopping for an alternative now. All because I asked for an additional $75 credit!

The service was poor, but that wasnt the problem. I was skeptical it would work at my home. The problem is that Nomad wont honor the 7-day return guarantee. Not only did they charge me for the equipment, but then they charged me for the first months service before the 7-day trial period expired. So now Im trying to get them to refund $350 for equipment and service I never agreed to, and they wont honor their own promise. Almost thee months later, despite returning the equipment and them acknowledging the receipt, they still wont return my money. Dont trust these guys. The name Nomad is appropriate. They are definitely a fly-by-night operation.
