Brain Balance has change my daughter’s life. She was struggling with ADD and being able to focus in school and learn what she needed too. A friend of mine recommended Brain Balance because her daughter attended the program and they were so impressed with her accomplishments. We are so glad that we found BB because my daughter doesn’t struggle in school anymore. She has self esteem and determination now!!! She has learned to teach herself how to focus in school which is HUGE!!! I can’t think the staff enough at the SA and New Braunfels locations! They are awesome, friendly and so willing to help!! A big shout out to Jenny Peek she rocks!!!My daughter loved going to her appointments and developed some lifelong friends :-)

The experience we encountered with the program and staff at Brain Balance was amazing. The program has been a life changing experience for us as our son began to transition into a more confident and focused individual. Socially and academically we began to see him become more successful over the time. We would choose Brain Balance again and we are grateful for the opportunity and new beginning this has established for our child.

As a retired educator and grandparent my husband and were very supportive and involved in the Brain Balance program for our grandson. The changes in him were subtle at first, but as he completed the recommended sessions the end result was amazing. Our grandson was able to focus better, understand and retell events, and was no longer afraid to do things on his own. These are just a few of the many accomplishments he was able to achieve.

So grateful for this center! It has helped my daughter (and me) in so many areas. BB presented the right tools and information to guide us through the rough, and also how to continue our improvement at home. The staff is great and has worked with me side by side. The support from them and other families there has made everything SO MUCH easier and we love our time there!

I had my son evaluated and tested at a few different places, trying to find what would personally help him the best. When we tested at Brain Balance and had the results presented to us we knew this was 100% where he needed to be!! Not only are the staff super nice and courteous but he actually enjoyed attending Brain Balance. He has pretty severe anxiety and absolutely loathes new things, but when he started Brain Balance he walked in and didn’t even look back. He has improved tremendously in multiple areas, and while he still has a long way to go, I’m so happy that we came across Brain Balance and decided to enroll him in their program!

We enrolled our daughter in June of 2018 and the changes we have seen over the past 9 or so months have nothing but amazing. She started the program as a little girl that was still having to wear Pull-Ups to bed at 5 years old, could not sit still at all, could not focus on any singular task, nor would she ever accept no for an answer without a complete emotional break-down, among many other things. Symptoms of what I would imagine most professionals would diagnose as ADHD. Over the course of the program she has begun to wait her turn without having to be told to, stopped jumping into activities as a natural reaction, and will not have emotional break-downs when the answer is no. We enrolled her in this particular program in order to avoid medications that she would inevitably need when she began school. Ms. Jenny and her staff are top notch. They understand children and have the patience of saints. They were able to temper the break-downs that our daughter would have during the sessions all the while working with her to achieve the goal the we set...a Balanced Brain.

Brain Balance has been a life saver for our family. Watching your child suffer at school is heartbreaking. Especially when they are trying to give their all. When you feel like you have to medicate your child so they can succeed and be capable of focus at school. When trying to get homework done would leave both my child and myself in tears. I finally reached out to Brain Balance after hearing the commercials on the radio in the car on the way to drop off my child at school.After getting my child placed in Brain Balance, it has began a huge change in our life. We no loner spend hours on homework that should only take 30 minutes,. My childs melt downs are a thing of the past. We are still in our journey through Brain Balance but with each passing week the harmony in our household is returning.We attend the Brain Balace in New Braunfels and cant say enough about the kindness, caring, incredible people that work there. How can you not invest in your childs future and their well being? Five Stars does not do them justice.

Our son was in the program for 9 months and showed tremendous growth and progress throughout the process. We would highly recommend this program for any child struggling in school, our son is finally enjoying school, interacting with his classmates in a positive way, and his grades have steadily increased!

Ricky is now more confident and is now reading on level. He even brought home straight As on his last report card! Behavior and attitude or have completely turned around

Love, love, love this program and center. My 14 yo with mild ID and ADHD was struggling SO much with behavior and school problems. Over the years, we have seen lots of doctors and tried lots of things. Brain Balance detected (among other problems) that his eyes were not tracking, and that his neurological wiring wasnt completed (he had persistent infant reflexes that should have regressed long ago.) After 6 months of the program, hes literally a new kid. Still has his challenges, but his eyes work now, his reading is improving by leaps and bounds, and ability to pay attention is MUCH better. Plus, the team at the center is GREAT. So grateful!

My daughter was struggling to read and keep up with her homework in 2nd and 3rd grade, every night seemed like a struggle just to complete her daily assignments. After Brain Balance it is like night and day she enjoys getting her homework done first and rarely needs help, thank you so much!!!

Our son had a hard time with following directions, attention and focus. Before school had started, we chuck it up to him being young and an energetic boy, but it became an issue during kindergarten when his teacher had to redirect him numerous times daily. We didn’t and still don’t believe that he was on the ADD/ADHD spectrum, hence we didn’t send him in for testing. At the same time, we didn’t want to ignore that our son needed our help. In 1st grade, we looked into Brain Balance (BB), something we heard from the Assistant Principal who heard it from another parent but who didn’t finish the program. To be honest, we started at BB in November of 1st grade not knowing any person who had a first hand experience with BB, so we were very skeptical. The initial evaluation estimated that he needed 98-108 sessions which calculated to be about 8-9 months with an hour long class after school every MWF. On top of the skepticism, there were other issues to consider, among them the challenging schedule and diet, and the expense. Mostly due to our skepticism, we didn’t sign him up for the entire recommended sessions. We signed up for 36 sessions. I talked to other parents there at the waiting room and was slightly comforted by other children’s stories. At the end of three months (36 sessions), we saw changes but mostly not positive changes (as we were warned that any change is good for reverting back is to be expected as the brain continues to grow and learn), but we saw just enough positive change to sign up for another 36 sessions. At the end of first grade (72 sessions), we saw a lot of positive changes: he was better at listening, following directions, and something unexpected, he was reading better. His initial evaluation suggested that his eyes were overloading and fatiguing quicker than other people, and we always noticed that his eyes couldn’t follow a finger pointing to words on books, but we didn’t know going in that BB could help with that too. It’s mid-summer before 2nd grade, we took the summer off to take a break from the challenging schedule of BB and to recoup some academic skills that we had to put as second priority during 1st grade because there just wasn’t enough time to fit in both. During this summer, he’s pushing through reading chapter books (Magic Treehouse series) and most of the times, his eyes can follow the words without the need to finger point them on the page. With 6 months or 72 sessions under his belt, we feel that he is very close, but not quite, to where he should be. BB’s exit assessment in early June agreed with our suspension, and we were told that he needs about another month and half to finish the program. The plan is that we are going back in August and hope to finish up the program by mid-September, right at the start of the full on load of 2nd grades academic. A caveat on the diet (this is strictly a recall of our own experience and situation, not as a suggestion to others): we followed the diet strictly for 2-3 months before we finally loosen up after suspecting that if he was not allergic to the three restricted foods (sugar, dairy, and gluten). Our suspicion was backed up by a full panel of allergy testing and the result read that he was not allergic to anything that can be tested to show a physical allergy. We did limit his sugar intake. Bottom line: we started at BB with a skeptical mindset but a hopeful heart, and as hocus pocus as the process had sounded initially, we are so pleasantly surprised and pleased that it transformed our son without ever having to consider the path of diagnosis or medication. As an additional confirmation, my sister-in-law, an educator with a focus on kids with special needs, had recently commented to me on how my son’s behaviors have noticeably changed for the better since Christmas, the last time when she saw him. My suggestion is if you give this program a try, give it a real chance because different kids approach that point when you can see a difference at different times. My son was one who reached there at a later time.

Taking my 8 now 9 year old to Brain Balance was the best decision I ever made for her. She was struggling on so many levels in school and home. I was so worried about her future. I decided to try the Brain Balance Program and I saw a change just a few weeks in ( not huge but it felt like a leap to me). Today shs is I feel a normal kid she sleeps better, does better in shool, and does not give me as much trouble at home. Her social skills are better along with her physical abilities ( not so clumsy ). I highly recommend and the Staff is amazing to work with.

Brain Balance has been a game changer for my family! Both my 8 and 9 year old boys have developed so much, in different ways, over the past year. I cant thank the people at Brain Balance enough for the guidance through the entire process.

Would definitely recommend Brain Balance to any family with a child that is struggling academically or behaviorally. Our son made amazing progress and the staff at Brain Balance are wonderful!
