Kennedy was my wax specialist September 28 she was so sweet, talked me through skin care routines, and different products that would be the best for my skin type. She was very gentle, so gentle that this was the least painful experience I have ever had. She is very thorough with her work and made sure to show me each area after it was completed so I can confirm that everything is perfect before moving to the next area.She made sure to ask me multiple times during the process of everything was OK. She made sure to ask if I am comfortable and happy multiple times too. Ken is by far the best wax technician👌🏻

This was my second appointment with Area and was very disappointed with the customer service this time. I was scheduled today at 3:30 but I was stuck in school traffic on the way there and was four minutes behind! I called ahead to let them know and the lady said that I would have to reschedule due to my appointment only being a 10 minute appointment and her having someone right after me. I asked okay is there any way of knowing if my card will be charged and she said it was up to management. I show up at 3:32 to see if I could speak to management and I see the girl who I scheduled me sitting on the couch on her phone. As soon as she sees me she walks to the back room. I asked if I could talk to management and the lady tells me that they would contact me tomorrow. As soon as I left the girl who I booked with went back to her spot on the couch on her phone lol. So there’s no telling if they would charge me without being serviced. It would be great if they could warn you about there no being a grace period when you book your appointment & they take your card info.

This was my first time getting waxed here at Area Wax. My waxer Jaylyn was not communicating with at all. She had her music playing loudly. I would ask her questions since I was nervous but would give me one answer responses. She continued putting baby powder over and over. And and made me bleed in my butt area. I was so uncomfortable during the whole wax. I’m definitely not coming again.

The wax was great. The receptionist was welcoming. My waxer made a comment about me being hairy, after leaving my room, and I over heard what she said. I heard someone ask her if she offered to wax the rest, and she was like no, that’s what she wanted. The walls are very thin, so you can easily hear everything. I just think it is rude to talk about clients, maybe she should’ve saved that comment until after I left the building. Definitely not going back though.

Booking online was easy and the services were well explained. You have to put a card on file in order to book. The suite is clean and they are taking social distancing seriously. When you check in, they give you a pager and you wait in your car until the aesthetician is ready for you. Key was my technician and she was amazing. She talked you through the entire process and did an amazing job. The gel mask afterwards is a must!

My experience here was amazing. As a male I was nervous, but all staff made me comfortable from the time I entered to the time I left. The salon was very clean and you can tell that they take their cleanliness seriously. Definitely recommend for males and females. oh and theyre black owned as well!

This is one of the best wax places I have been to concerning prices, the staff, and how thorough they are. I have been to wax places that wax you and that’s it. No oil or product and no plucking. Today was my very first time going to place. I live in Hermitage Tn. and I arrived a few minutes before my appointment, I had my daughter with me today and the sign required everyone to wear mask. When I walked in the door the lady at the desk to me that my daughter could not come in the building with me, I told her that there is no signs posted on the website nor the door that states that kids could not accompany adults. Im furious because I drove all the way out her and no where was that posted. I them told her that my CC was on file and that it better not be charged, she responded well, I will let them know. I then called to ask to speak to a manager and that same receptionist said that someone would have to call me back. How was anyone suppose to know this, I was trying to support a new business and look what I experienced on my very first day. For future reference STICK TO WHAT YOU KNOW, its best. Very unprofessional/rude receptionist.

My specialist was very informative and kind though. She just rushed the whole wax and left behind a lot of hairs that I didnt notice until the next day. There are small things that make Area an amazing place...beyond being clean, professional, and a salon of good quality...the music is relaxing, staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the rooms are comfortable and have mirrors (which may seem weird but I appreciate) and I just feel like Ive left the spa...all that and reasonably priced.
