My Fiancee booked an appointment for me for my birthday, and I was really looking forward to it. We got a confirmation email and Everything. The day of, I got there smack in the middle of their posted business hours for my appointment time, and the shop was locked up with the shades drawn. No cancellation notice or anything. Super disappointing.***Edited to add:I had hoped you would have something to say that might make me want to give you a second chance for my business, but no such luck. I called at 2:43 to say I was running late and got no answer. I called again at 2:59 after I got there and found the door locked. Your guy was gone well before 3:00. I was pretty disappointed yesterday, but the fact of the matter is that if your guy was in that much of a rush to bail early, he probably wouldnt have done the greatest job anyway. And if your customer service strategy is to blame the customer, I guess I really dodged a bullet on this one.

I flew into town for the weekend. Booked an appointment with Liz and had the best experience. Great attention to detail, friendly, professional, and great work.

Liz always does a fantastic job. I decided to grow my hair out to try a new style but still needed a trim in the meantime and she was able to cut my hair into a good in-between stage hairstyle that still looked great. Cant recommend her or this place enough. Always a great atmosphere

2nd time here since moving to East Nashville. Their online booking process is so easy. Liz was awesome! I booked a Buzz and she was able to get me a full haircut and wash anyways! Will definitely make this my go to place!

I’ve been looking for a good barber since moving here a year ago, and I have found him. Kevin was great. I was so impressed with my hair cut he gave me, that I went ahead and got my ears and nose waxed along with a nice clean shave with a straight razor. After he wrapped my face in a hot towel and massaged my shoulders. I used their website to set up my appointment, walked in a few minutes early. The place had a very manly feel about it from the massive tool box stations, whiskey barrel sinks, 2 TVs, large sliding door at the entrance, and a TV in the bathroom. I would highly recommend going to Nashville Beard and Barber and seeing Kevin or Eric.

East Nashville Beard & Barber Shop is simple awesome. I am not one that gets hung up on the atmosphere, but it is a cool place. After reading through all the reviews and searching for a place to Trim my beard. I booked an appointment and it was the best thing I could have done. I booked an appt with Liz, as she was the one available for the time slot I needed. She not only had a great personality, she 100% trimmed my beard to perfection. She listened to what I was after, made some great suggestions, and I left with the best beard trim I have ever had. East Nashville Barber will be my go to place for a beard trim from now on.

Great hair cut, unfortunately masks were only worn by one barber and the rest either wore them under the nose or not at all. This is unfortunate because the actual hair cut was fantastic.

Never have I looked forward to hair cuts until now. I was recommended by a close friend to give Brandon at ENBB a try. He does such a good job he even got to cut and style my hair on my wedding day! Good place with a local vibe. I followed Brandon from another shop and go to him regularly. In addition to sanitizing his chair and work area, hes always got his face mask on and he accommodates my request to keep mine on (as much as possible). Oh, and great cut, every time!

I had been growing my hair out for over two years and decided I was ready for a cut that would be modern and low maintenance and so thats what I told Brandon, the barber, I wanted. They gave me a free whiskey to sip on while I waited and then proceeded to give me the best hair cut Ive ever gotten. It turned out better than what I was hoping for and I will definitely be returning.

Liz does an amazing job every time to say the least. The rest of the guys are extremely nice and welcoming as well. Oh and they have bourbon too, they know how to have a good time. 10/10 no doubt!

Been here a few times and tried a few different barbers. First two cuts were ok, but my most recent cut is terrible. The real reason for the lackluster review, however, is how rude the last barber was. I’ve had a really hard time getting a decent cut in Nashville since moving, and the he essentially mocked me for attempting to give him direction. After all of the sass, he still totally messed up the cut. My hair is a completely different length on the right and left sides. He also was visibly annoyed when I asked him to wear a mask (at a barbershop of all places, you would think this would be understood). + Price point is higher than what I paid to get my haircut in Manhattan. Rant over.

Its hard to beat the folks here, whether youre in for a quick trim or the works, they make you feel welcomed and spoiled! Complimentary drinks and great soundtracks make the haircut a relaxing part of my day every time Im there. Eric did a fantastic job. I got a cut and beard trim here and Im very pleased with the results. Eric is very proficient at his craft and it shows. Clean lines and a smooth transition make this a haircut Ill be happy with even after I wake up tomorrow. The atmosphere is comfortable and masculine, like a proper barber shop should be, but not like your grandads shop. The place has the right feel and doesnt make you feel like youre stepping back in time. Highly recommend.

First two times I went I got a decent haircut. Went last week and I may as well have gone to great clips. Messed my hairline up. Got a beard trim and he lined up one side but I guess forgot to finish the other side. Left a bald mark on the side of my head. Had to get another cut to fix the hack job I received. And he’s the one who’s been there the longest. Maybe he’s a decent barber as I can’t imagine he’s got this far giving out cuts like what I received but perhaps he was more concerned about his Sam Hunt dui story than my hair. Won’t be back.

Overpriced hipster vibe. Go to hair palace down the road and save on a cut and beard trim by billy and spend about 40 or 50 dollars less.

You wont be disappointed in the work or the vibe of the shop. Sheena cut my husbands hair and it was the best cut he has had in years! He got tons of compliments on how great it looked. Definitely check this place out!

Update 12/14/19: Possibly the worst beard trim I have ever received in my life. I have had a cut from 3 of the 4 barbers there. Haven’t had Kevin, Liz in front is good, Jay in the middle seat is good, but Eric near the window is horrible. I now have to shave off my beard and start over. He cut a hole in the side of my beard. I went back the next day for a possible fix or just change the style completely. He wasn’t trying to hear anything I had to say and what I was met wit was a unwavering pride behind poor work and a lot of attitude. The workmanship of the shop is 3/4 good. I ended up leaving because I felt like the situation was escalating and he didn’t have the barber skills or listening skills to fix his own mistake. I would stay away from Eric unless $55+ dollars is worth you having to cut your own beard after you leave.

Very disappointing experience here. I came in for a cut, and the team seemed very unexcited to take in a walk-in client, and Kevin reluctantly agreed to cut. Seemed like he had a hard night of drinking the night before by his general mood and unfriendliness. I just sat there quiet and tried to make normal conversation-- while cutting my hair, he carelessly buzzed rings around my head instead of blending it 1-->3 as I had asked. Hands down the most careless and worst haircut Id ever had. Had to pay to have a new haircut done as it looked just absolutely terrible. I will never come back here. Cannot believe how many good reviews this place has. Are they giving themselves review or have their clientelle just never had a decent haircut?

I was a little disappointed with this place. I walked in for the first time and both of the owners, Eric and Kevin, were standing right by the door but neither one said hello, offered me a drink, or even glanced up at me, so I stood there awkwardly for a minute waiting for someone to check me in. Finally one of the other stylists asked if I was there for a cut and told me to sit down to wait. Still not a word from either of the owners. I sat and waited for my haircut while one of the owners just sat in the back corner playing on his phone. The haircut was alright, considering I didnt ask for much to begin with, mainly just a trim. She didnt clean up over my ears or shave the back of my neck, though, which I though was a pretty standard thing to do. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day, but I expected a little more after reading the reviews online.

A bit overpriced

Great place. Most reviews dont need a story, but Kevin and Eric deserve one: As an out of towner visiting relatives in East Nashville, I had a spare hour on my own and figured Id look for a place for a cut. The simple web appointment booker with ample description/availability, the attention to detail in the shop, the friendly conversation, and the beverage while I got trimmed, it was all top notch. The cut itself was terrific, with a straight razor on the sides and back and followed by a steam towel and shampoo in the same seat. The shop itself is currently in its first 90 days open, and you can see the pride they have in both their work and their vision with the details of the shop itself. When I left the shop I had two new friends and the urge to be back next time Im in town. I forgot to snap a picture, but the ones on their site and Instagram should win over any doubters.

$20 for a beard trim where the barber doesn’t bother to make sure your cheeks are even or clean up your neck? Pass on this hack shop.
