Norm and his team are exceptionally honest, professional and pleasant.
I highly recommend this business for any automotive work! They did my car inspection, repaired my worn brakes, rotated my tires, and they were professional and courteous, and did a great job and were done quickly. I was able to get a quick appointment, the price for the service was very reasonable, and they even offered me a loaner, which was very helpful to me. I will recommend them to friends
Always a pleasure doing business with Norm. Work is done well, on time and for a reasonable price.
Really nice honest people! There prices are fair and they will not try to push you into buying extra things like other car places do. I would highly recommend.
Great service, honest people.
They get the job done on time and done Wright.
Very nice guys, showed me what was wrong on my car, and helped with transportation to and from the shop. Great service!
Never try to pass state inspection at Cambrays if your vehicle is more than 3-4 years old. Owner wants to repair your car and make the profit. In case you did not pass state inspection for the first time and did not order repairs from them, your re-inspection will be declined without ANY reasons.
Got a quick appointment then had to change they were great about it thought I needed a break job but it wasnt necessary just needed an adjustment from a previous break job ( very nice ) not done by Cambrays Got my sticker at the same time needed a bulb and I was on my way ..very nice highly recommend...very affordable..
I have been using Cambrays Automotive since I was first introduced to Norm around 2004/2005... I have had several of my own personal vehicles serviced there and have never had one issue with the repairs or service performed, I have NEVER had to go back because something wasnt done or worse done incorrectly... Their work has always been impeccable... Norm and his Team have always been attentive to my needs and the needs of my business fleet as well... I have several vehicles that I use for my business and they all get serviced at Cambrays (including a large Diesel Truck)...I would recommend to anyone that requires an Honest, Competent Mechanic (which are hard to find by the way) to visit Cambrays and find out for yourself...Norm and his Team are the best...Al ProvostHudson, NH
Norm and his mechanics are well worth their price point. They are honest and decent folks who will be straight forward with estimates and repairs. You will be hard pressed to find another shop with better integrity
Previously had my 10 yr old CRV in for an AC repair. I had suspected it was a relay problem but needed it to be corrected as it was summer and needed for a trip to Canada in the next couple of days . Took an over night stay to verify problem and it was indeed a relay problem vs a clutch problem. Well diagnosed and corrected. Recently, a winter tire mounting and alignment resulted in a solution to the heavy steering effort that I had since a previous alignment at a different shop that annoyed me for several years. Balancing was also perfect based on road test. Norm is good at what he does and I forward the recommendation that I received about his shop and the quality of his service.
This is the most un-dealer-like place you will ever go to - service is quick, people are professional and polite, communication is excellent, and I have never been pitched extra work or services that didnt really need to be done. I have been given recommendations or advanced notice of work that would have to be done sooner rather than later, but never had anything forced on me, ever. Prices are reasonable, and the quality of work superb. i highly recommend Cambrays for any and all of your automotive repair needs.
I had a starter installed. Car stopped starting right after I picked it up. They replaced the starter again. Car still had trouble starting. They had no idea, wanted me to leave the car with them for ???? time. Had to take it out of state to determine I NEEDED A NEW STARTER. What am I supposed to think? -$$$$$$$$ thanks
Have to concur with the other reviews on here regarding inspections. Cambrays seems to charge a very low rate for inspection just to get you in the door to overcharge you for repairs. My car failed the inspection because one of the rear windows, when brought down all the way, wouldnt go up unless you pulled on it. Literally everyone I have talked to since has said that they have never heard of anyone failing for this. In fact, everyone has been incredulous just to learn that they were looking at the rear windows. And these are mechanics and car people Im talking to, not just anyone. Theres also nothing on the DMVs website saying the rear windows factor into inspection. So this leads me to believe that they actively look for something to find wrong in your vehicle. In addition to that, they tried to charge me over $200 to replace my brake pads, which I did for less than $100. So people, dont be fooled by the low inspection rate, its a scam. I cant speak to their repair abilities, because I refused to give them the ridiculous amounts of money they charged.
Great service, very flexible, close to home!
Norm and his mechanics are the best. Fantastic value for the level of repairs they provide.
We did the NH state inspection of our Ford Taurus 2005.It was quick. The car passed inspection without any issues. They also accepted the coupon also. Overall good experience.
Cambrays does great work and its always at a good price. Ive recommended them to a few people and Ive always gotten good reports back from them. Ive used a few other auto repair shops but Cambrays is by far the best.
All Their Work Redone: I bought my car used, private sale and it had a few things worked on right before I bought the car by Cambray’s. Namely, the alternator, fuel pump, and a section of the exhaust were replaced. Everything that they worked on had gone bad and had to be fixed or replaced within a month of the work they did. I can say it was not the guy I bought it from because of the fact when I told him about all the problems that were happening, he was really nice offered to help pay for any repairs that needed to be done due to Cambrarys failures, even though there is no law or anything saying he needed to do that, he felt bad that he sold me a car with problems that he thought were fixed.FIRST: The fuel pump, although it was not actually the fuel pump that went bad it was the work they did when installing it, then lying to be about what was causing the problem. I was getting a fuel evaporation error, from the car (meaning there was some sort of fuel leak in the gas system). Cambray’s tried to convince me that the leak was due to the gas tank being rusty around where the fuelpump is, and the whole tank had to be replaced. When they quoted me a price for just the part (the gas tank), it seemed very high, I called a dealership to see what they would sell it for, and the dealerships price was HALF of what Cambray’s was just for the part. When I told Cambray’s this they told me they could only use parts they sourced so it did not matter. Feeling like I was getting a bit of a run around I bring my car to a shop I know and trust, they tell me that it’s not rust that’s causing the issue, but when the fuel pump was installed, they had DRILLED HOLES INTO THE GAS TANK. So not only was Cambray’s trying to make me pay way more that I should for the part, it was for a part that THEY BROKE! (Subsequently I got this problem fixed at the shop I know and trust for much less than Cambray’s was quoting in the first place).SECOND: The alternator, at the same time of the fuel pump issues, the “new” alternator failed (the car could not start or run). They told me that this never happens but the core was bad so the replaced it again, they did this for free so I can almost give them credit for something. But of course the second alternator was bad as well. This one ended up failing about 4 months after the second one was installed, I didn’t not even want to bother with Cambray’s again.THIRD: A section of the exhaust was replaced due to rust, and a few months after I buy the car I start to hear the exhaust rattle, and like its leaking, thinking maybe another section when due to rust I take a look under the car. No it was the section they replaced, they had not put a gasket in-between the different parts so the exhaust started to come apart, easy fix to do myself. But extremely infuriating that I had to.SUMMARY: Everything they touched had to be replaced or fixed soon after they did the work, as well as them marking up parts, and trying to pawn off the problems they created back onto me. Cambray’s should not be trusted, if it was just one of these things that went bad, fine... mistakes happen, but everything they did had to be redone by people who actually know how to work on cars. This is beyond unacceptable, I have no idea how they are in business.
They are the best
Very trustworthy business.
This Was By far the worst experience in my life the Customer Service was awful i dont know how they are still in business because they DO NOT TAKE CARE of there customers. They wouldnt take the valpak coupon of my phone even though those coupons are every where in nashua!... The Guy gave us a list because the car didnt pass so we got all the stuff done at my dads mechanic we brought it back they claim they were out of inspection stickers? i Could go on and on Final result i brought my car to Monroe immediately after and how funny it passed i want to put this place out of business
I am totally satisfied with this autos hope. No pressure and pleasant employees
Ive been taking my cars to Norm for 20 years or so. He always treated me fairly and helped keep my used cars going.
Pricey, but thorough.
I was looking for a used car and avoided a potentially costly mistake by having it checked by Norm. It had been in an accident that did not show up on the Carfax report. He showed me where the repairs were. They were not visible to me until he pointed them out.
Norm is an expert and cares about his customers
Honest and fast service.
Good prices and upfront.
