When I pulled up he said I need a blend oil change and they would be around $56 since I had a $20 coupon but at the end I had to pay $90 because my car needed synthetic plus hidden fees … very unprofessional how they trick you into starting the oil change than tack onto the price… will not be using this company in the future

Im going to share what is probably an atypical story. the short version of this is that the employees at this location went out of their way to ensure I was taken care of despite extremely unusual circumstances.I came here to get a regular oil change. While visiting the attendants went through the standard procedure of checking my engine and cabin air filters.When they removed the cabin air filter there was a loud noise of a bunch of things clattering around. Evidently a thieving chipmunk or squirrel had decided to use my cabin air filter has his personal stash for stolen food. About 3 full measuring cups worth of feed corn kernels fell all over the place inside my car and more worryingly into my air conditioner blower motor assembly.The gentlemen at this location helped to disassemble and remove the glove compartment and allowed the use of their shop vac and air compressor to clean out all of the debris.When it was discovered that kernels had lodged themselves into the fan, I was informed that they were unable to help disassemble major parts of a car for liability reasons.However, I am fairly handy and felt comfortable doing it myself and the gentlemen here allowed me the use of some of their tools like screwdrivers and such to be able to accomplish the task.When everything was completed my car was vacuumed out and everything was put back together. I was not charged any extra despite the extra work that was needed to help take care of a situation.I will absolutely visit again if I am in the area the next time I need my oil changed.Attached is a picture of the last bit of corn that I shook out of the fan blower.I hate squirrels.

I am not sure weather new management has taken over but the service is absolutely horrible at this location. I have been going here for years and have never experience the wait like I do now . My last two visits were nothing close to the speedy services Ive received in the past years. This place has gone way down hill from the customer service to the attention to required details when changing oil . the staff could care less... its obvious as u watch them work with soda and chips in hand that theyre just there to collect a paycheck. So sad Ill be going to Nyack from now on

I only give four stars because i was very happy. But after the oil change they didnt reset the notification on the car. So it still says CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON. they should of reset it after every oil change

There was one staff member that was very kind he helped me move my car and parked it out front. My complaint is I paid $101 for an oil change and when I asked if they could honor there Groupon price (which they would lose more money if I had purchased the Groupon and used it but I digress) now I spent $101 and my car still has the service need light flashing and I dismissed it already 7 times.

My sister takes my car to get service. I always use Valvoline between NY /NJ. She get the oil change and serviceman mentions car needs a cabin air filter which could have easily been replaced at 19.99 +tax by myself but charged $40.00 for service a long with oil change. I dislike the fact when WOMEN come to these types of places you get hustled. You shouldnt need a mechanic with you at all times. Verydistasteful.

Came in for an inspection, told me the car failed. Went to a mechanic and gave them the receipt Valvoline gave me and the mechanic said that they were confused by what Valvoline marked down and my car passed without a hitch.

Place is ok, price for oil change is average, they are quick, not sure if they supossed to refill all the fluids, on the report just check things as ok, when they dont even check or refill

I have been taking my car for inspection and oil changes at my local Valvoline for couples years now. But went to the one in Nanuet to to convenience, since I was staying at a friend’s for a few days and needed this taken care of. Parked and told them I needed to do inspection and needed an oil change. For beginners, the wait was absurd. I waited for 2:30hours.!!!! While waiting I went to grab a bite. When got back went up to pay and they were charging me for the inspection only. I asked for the oil change, he then said “oh, yeah I did that”. I left not sure if they performed the job or just charged me for it. I mean they charged me about $89 for it. Outrageous price and poor service. On top of that, they didn’t reset my oil light and left my windshield a mess with the stickers. Think twice next time I want to give business to a company you think you know.

Dont waste your afternoon if you want a quick oil-change. They took 1h 50m (1h 35 m in the bay) for them to ONLY do a routine oil-change. Sure, they vacuum out the Engine Oil, but still, 2 hours is too long for this!

The guys that work there are SO FRIENDLY and SO HELPFUL! Walked in at 5 and was out at 5:30. Amazing customer service. Thank you to the guys who checked my engine light and change my oil so quickly at the last minute! Definitely will be coming back.

I had my cars oil changed there recently. That evening, I parked in my garage. The next morning there was a pool of oil on the floor. They never tightened the oil filter.Never again!

Fair warning they won’t work on “luxury vehicles”. It’s an 03 sports car worth about $5000. So how do you trust someone that’s either that lazy or that incompetent? They don’t even know what a luxury vehicle is. So you might want to call and tell them specifically what you have even if an 03 worth less then any other car on the lot. Ridiculous.

Been going here always for state inspection. And last time i was there service is fast and good. Except that they stripped 1 of my lug studs. They remove passenger side front wheel to check for brake pads and to my surprise when i was removing my winter tires, 1 of the studs is completely stripped off. I dont think i would go back again.

2 stories sum it up.about a year ago i almost forgot a bag of 2000$ gift cards. the manager gave it back to me.today i remembered i forgot yesterday a 500$ coach bag with cash. i picked it up today . with all the cash.these guys are HONEST. (always happy with thier services too! :))

Stopped to get motor oil at Valvoline, Nanuet because I work a few blocks away and thought it was convenient. Waited a while in customer area while they did it. Guy brought my truck around and said it was done and I paid my bill. About a week later I was having truck issues so I took it to my regular mechanic to fix. Surprisingly, he alerted me that my motor oil was dirty and asked me if I wanted to change it....What?!?! How could the motor oil be dirty...Valvoline supposedly changed it a week ago. This time I actually watched as they emptied the dirty motor oil and replaced it with clean oil. Basically Valvoline, Nanuet has you sit in the customer waiting area, where you cant see your truck and you dont know if they do what you are paying them to do ....... DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE...DO NOT TRUST THEM...

I have been coming here for inspection for years. I went this year (2017) to do inspection and was told by the mechanics that they can not do the test because of the tinted window. That no car can have tinted window, even on the rear side windows and they needs to be ripped off. I was little perplexed, but I left the place without any further discussion. I checked online for the new law that was put on Jan. 2017. And found out that it is OK to have tinted windows if the ligh transparency meets the law.... I am guessing they just do not have the measuring device, but why tell me that I have to take off the tint? I have no intention of removing my tint. I guess I have to go to different place now.

Went to get an inspection and an oil change. I paid for a grouping, and after they completed my inspection and I asked about the oil change, the guy told me that they didnt have the filter for my car. This is after coming here for several years, AND after having me sit there through the inspection, not telling me they couldnt do the oil change. I will not be going back.

Its a Valvoline....not sure what youd expect certainly no massause no beverages nothing. Its also a weird setup at this location and long car lines but the service was good...they did an oil change...I think...no more no less not as quick as other locations but again its just an oil change beats doing it yourself.

I have been bringing my multiple vehicles to Valvoline Nanuet for many years, but today will be the last time. I bought a Groupon voucher for a full synthetic oil change for $55, for my VW sedan. The manager told me I had to pay an additional $45 because they merely deduct the Groupon purchase price from the full service regular price. If that is the case, why would anyone ever purchase a voucher?!I used to love this place, but now they have become a den of thieves. STAY AWAY!!

Worse customer service Ive ever experienced at Valvoline! I usually deal with the Valvoline located in Suffern, NY but they dont do inspections. When my wife called about the hours the employee on the phone told her that they also do inspections on Sunday until 4pm. That worked out perfect for me since that was my day off. When you pull up to the building they have a big sign that states they do inspections and no appointments are required. When I stepped into the waiting area to check in no employees where behind the counter to greet me and it took 20 minutes before the manager Mike came to the front. Once he noticed that I was filling out the list for an inspection thats when he told me he was no longer doing inspections for the day. I will never go to this location again!

Stopped by a couple weekends ago prior to visiting my parents who live in the area. a routine i have done a number of times. this location is a little different from the other valvoline stations i frequent. other stations are drive thru, which means you stay in the car while the service is being preformed. here, you get out of your car and go inside to the waiting area, which i have done a number times with my small dog (12 pounds). in the past, everyone has been friendly enough. this time, i was told my dog was not allowed inside, and i was more then welcome to wait outside (in the rain) while the work was being done. i was so shocked to hear this, i didnt argue or question the attendant. i just left. i will not return to this location.

I just really dont understand why it should take so long to do a routine oil change. They really take the instant out of instant oil change.

Michael Riley the manager is arrogant. I had an issue that could of been easily resolved with a credit on my next visit. He refused. Its obvious this station does not value or appreciate me as a customer. Valvoline you lost my business.
