Great job Zamzows and staff! We decided to bring our puppy on a field trip/shopping trip. This location is beautiful and so clean. Every single employee was so friendly and helpful! We chatted about axolotls, learned the best way to help urine spots in our lawn and our puppy got so much love! Thank you for having an amazing staff in a world where “no one wants to work”.💗

This store used to be one of my favorite Zamzows but since Rachel left the pet room it has gone downhill. Not sure what went down but this company could greatly benefit from someone knowledgeable especially in the pet room. Rachel knew everything from fish to reptiles to birds and could answer any questions you had about any of the species with ease. It was easy to see that she knew her stuff and researched beyond just the basics. Now we go in and they dont seem to know the answers to basic shrimp questions and the tank quality of the fish and shrimp overall is poor.Its unfortunate most zamzows are this way but they dont seem to want to hang on to valuable employees.

I use them so his lawn program and I have had beautiful bright green grass ever cents. But recently I’ve had some issues. Zamzow sent someone out immediately to diagnose the problem. My neighbors yard is horrendous and their fungus and Bill bugs transferred into my yard. He brought back two bags of treatment for free as a courtesy. I don’t know any other company that does that. Extremely satisfied and will continue to use Zamzow‘s from here on!

The manager at this location knows his stuff and wont waste your time or money. I didnt catch his name and you shouldnt go in expecting him to be your bff, but he does a great job and I will continue using this Zamzows.

I have used zamzows lawn program for a very long time and told all my neighbours to use zamzows. This year i wanted to try something new. I did Scotts lwan program online. Not only was it less money. It has way more n,p,k. Also 2-1 products like weed killer and bug killer that you pay extra for at zamzows. All my neighbours asked me what i am using as they are still using zamzows that i told them to buy last year. I told them to cancel zamzows and get scotts. If your looking for organic Yardmastery has way more nitrogen for the money.

I came in on a Wednesday night very interested in a sweet little ferret, but wasn’t 100% it was a good idea and wanted to check with my partner. Since it was close to closing, they offered to hold her until the next day when him and I got off work...I periodically called and checked in to make sure they were still holding her for us and they were! Super thankful for how kind and accommodating the staff was with us and I’m so excited to have a new addition to our family 🙂❤️

All of my gardening dreams came true, and there was even a baby ferret.

The manager Ken is going above and beyond to fix an issue I had a the other day. I feel extremely valued as a customer and it is now clear to me how much Zamzows cares about their customers. Thank you Ken for everything!:)

Friendly, helpful staff! I spend most of my time in the fish/aquarium section. Cheaper prices, more selection and their fish seem to be healthier than pet stores. They have a better selection of live aquarium plants too. So glad I learned more about Zamzows. Go see for yourself!

Couldnt get employees to stop gossiping with each other to get a single question answered until they decided they were done talking. Their bathroom also is horrible! The toilet paper doesnt come off the roll and the toilet handle just spins around in a circle. Good luck trying to get it to flush!

We buy our dog food here (Grandma Zs) and pleased with their lawn and garden options. However customer service is lacking big time. I stood in line for 10 minutes waiting while a girl was on the phone taking an order. An older lady came to help check people out and instead of helping me (I was first in line) she helped 4 OTHER FAMILIES CHECK OUT. The girl on the phone asked if she could help me because this old lady was ignoring me and she was told to call the phone order back and help me. The lady continued to check out other people while I waited. So unbelievably rude. I may stop buying their brand of dog food because of this, not going to shop somewhere that treats their customers like trash.

Very knowledgeable about gardens, lawns, and pets. Best place to go for questions about any of these things. Helpful and competent staff.

The store was great! Awesome selection of pet and plant supplies but customer service, especially at the cash register, needs to improve. We were treated with no respect when checking out and 2 of the cashiers were very arrogant and had bad attitudes, not the way I wanted to exit the store. On a happier note, the pet associate was extremely helpful, had a great attitude and made it obvious that he loved his job!

Very helpful and the seasonal fertilizer is super worth it they explained perfectly how each step works. We plan on being a constant customer from here on out. Nothing but smiles and help. I loved it 🥰

5 stars for customer service and selection for pet supplys. But half a star for the bulk material. The top soil is Full of goat heads. A extremely obnoxious weed with sharp thorns. Extremely hard to get rid of! You DO NOT want them in your garden. Buy the bagged dirt instead.

I love this particular location. The people are incredibly personable, knowledgeable and just plain enjoyable. They make it a pleasure to shop there. I buy almost all of my service dogs supplies and my Chinese water dragon needs at this store.

If you want garden seeds dont go to Zamzows. Selection is minimal, no bulk seeds for corn, peas, beans etc. And highest prices in town. I asked an associate if they sold bulk seeds. She looked at me like I was from Mars. Why do you need bulk? She asked. I said because I would have to buy every pack of pea seeds you have and still not have enough. I dont have a farm, but I plant about 2 pounds of peas each year. Same with beans and corn. Lowes had a better selection and about half the price.

Not at all happy with these guys. Ordered some Dog Food about 10 days ago,didnt hear anything from them so I called yesterday and was told that it had just arrived. Went in to pick it up today and was then told it was never ordered. This kinda stuff irritates the hell out of me, especially when I have to drive in 30 minutes from the homedale area to pick it up. My time is valuable too folks! Ill be taking my business elsewhere.

We have been to this Zamzows location multiple times in the last few months trying to decide what we are going to do for our new lawn and garden. They are always very knowledgeable and willing to help. Zach has helped us decide what to get for pests and for planting our yard every time we have gone there and he isnt every pushy. He just gives us his advice and answers any questions we have- amazing customer service!

I have been very happy with every experience here.Update to my review I left 4 years ago. We are still very happy with this location and the staff and products that they have. This is where we go to get all of our cat and dog food as well as supplies for some of our other animals. If you have never been or havent been in a while may I suggest stopping by and perusing the aisles. If nothing else you could get your favorite loved one a little gift. #Supportlocal

After being told by 3 different people 4 different instances that a cat litter would be restocked the next day, only to return and it still be out of stock I felt I needed to write a review. I will still come to this location since it is closest but if they do not know when an item will be restocked lying to the customer is not a viable option.

Great place. You can take plants or grass squares in for diagnosis. They usually give you more info then you wanted :) They have a lot of the more natural pet friendly supplies, like fertilizer or bug killer. Live crickets too!

Lets Start off with the staff Rachel is damn good at what she does from reptiles to fish to educating and etc she has great knowledge & a passion for what she does there is another lady that handles what she does Monday Tuesday’s she is also damn good at what she does I highly recommend this zamzows I’ve bought jack Dempsey’s catfish tetras plecos from zamzows & all my fish are alive being kinda nerdy with my fish & reptiles they have great quality fish & reptiles & love how all feeder mice are breed in store clean feeder mice make my snakes happy & just a FYI myElectric blue jack Dempsey is still alive cause they provide great quality & great informationOn carrying great store great staff great products great everything

I love Zamzows. Have been going since I was a kid. The customer service is awesome, and the place is clean. Pet friendly!

The customer service here is above par. The selection is pretty good for pet and lawn products. Garden selection is pretty small.Sale tactics can be deceptive. Was expecting a 10% off all pet products as per the signage all over the store. Got to the checkout and no discount was given. Was told I had to buy a bag of pet food to get the discount. Despite the signage not indicating this. I spoke with corporate regarding this and they apologized and said it was an error on the part of the local management. Ive been hesitant to return to see whether they have fixed this issue with future sales.

We have been going to zamzows for years in nampa, the workers are realy nice peaple, zack, iv been dealing with on my pond items iv needed, hes the best, hope i did not drive him nuts, great great, they all want to see my yard when finished, may 26th 2019

Josh had no Sence of humor, wasnt, in my opinion very friendly. The young lady, that was there, had no idea what kind of plant was I brought in. Her advise was, break a piece of the plant off and lick it. Say What?

Always helpful and theyve been trained very well and what your problems could be and how to fix them. Wish they gave a veterans discount theres very few veterans anymore since we dont have the draft

I really like this place but their website sucks. Its like the worst ever for online shopping. I cant put in a category for what Im looking for and have to scroll through product after product that isnt even related to what I want. It makes it difficult to know if they have the product I need, so I end up having to make a trip to the store just to find out they dont have it.

Excellent. Been looking for a plant for someone in an assissted living facility and found a pretty gloxynia here today as well as their excellent chicken food.

Only place in town Ive found that carries all of the individual Kaytee CritterTrail pieces without having to buy full sets. They also carry bulk pet food; a great buy compared to the pre-bagged commercial variety.

I had a terrible experience and I have refused to even go into a Zamzows because of it. My husband and I waited for someone to assist with propane for almost 40 minutes.If this is how they do business, they dont deserve it. Also, when I tried to tall to the manager I was shrugged off.

They know their products very well would recommend any of the Zamzows to everyone.

Would of gave a no star review is I could have . Prepaied for bulk order crickets and they had to change venders midweek and then did not call to explain this. Needless to say the customer service is lacking.

Zamzows and the people who work there are phenomenal! Back story, my spouse and I just bought our first home yesterday. While moving in I noticed little black dots moving along the inside wall of my garage. I immediately new what it was, ANTS. We are planning to keep our pet food in the garage and I knew at once these insects had to go. As a first time home owner with pets and children and didnt know where to go or what to buy. I came across Zamows and a kind gentleman helped me pick exactly what I needed. He informed me about the precautions I needed to take with my pets and children when using the products and how to use the products properly. When I got home I immediately started treatment on my problem. What makes this all the better, the stuff actually works. Not in 10 mins not in 5 mins but instantly! I sprinkled and all the little dots came running to pick up the food (which is actually ant killer crumbs) and took all the little pieces down to feed it to their colony. I hope to be ant free by next week and as of right now not one ant had made its way inside *knocks on wood*. Thank you Zamzows!!
