Like finding a good mechanic and a good doctor, so important is finding a good computer repair person! I was sure that I was going to have to toss out my laptop and throw down money on a new one, so Hal was my last shot. He completely fixed my connectivity, major speed problems, and constant pop-ups that made we want to throw my laptop against the wall now and then. He was super fast, delivering more than he promised two days early and $50 less than he quoted. Really impressed and so happy I found my computer guy!

Over two weeks ago, I was looking for a monitor at a certain price point and Hal totally came through!!! Very friendly and personalized service. Met my need within minutes. I was pleasantly surprised when I called to present my problem and was told to come in that day. When I arrived Hal was the only one there. Things quickly changed and people kept coming in and the phone continually rang. Even with all of the distractions Hal was able to to take care of several people, as well as, me! My problem was an easy fix for someone as knowledgeable as Hal. He was able to take care of my issue and charged m a reasonable fee for his labor. He was very patient with me too! He made some recommendations for me to update my computer when I was ready to do so. I will return to him at that point. And yes, I would recommend Just Ask Hal!!

Very disappointing. Overall bad experience: Owner has an attitude, talked down to me while I was discussing my issues, took weeks to get back. Fairly expensive repair and it doesnt seem to run any better. I wont be going back.

He had my computer for months and did nothing. The problem is as bad as he is they is no one better. All computer repair in the area is run by incompetent technicians. Fortunately I know of competent repair technicians in New Jersey and I go up there a lot so I just took the computer to New Jersey and have it repaired. It was fixed Promptly and at a great cost.

It took over rdd 7 days to get the work done!!! Once it was ready I went. The price had doubled my quote and I feel I gave nicer 1000.00 of computers that were older and got nothing in return . Ive been a customer of Hals for over 10 years. Wouldnt think of taking my computers anywhere other than Hal when they are in need of repair. Have purchased lap tops, hard drives and additional RAM throughout the years and each time at a fair price with a quick turnaround. Even helped me retrieve my iTunes library when I thought it was lost. Hal and his staff are great...highly recommend!

You may want to try somewhere else, not worth the headache and stress. As stated by another reviewer, he is a recent criminal, and lost his business license due to fraud/tax evasion. Pro: He seemed to have detailed knowledge. Con: When I went to him, he charged by the time, and his internet at his shop was outrageously slow. He pretended it was my hard drive being an older one for the transfer, but it was not. I told him I was unhappy, paid him something for his time, because at his rate, it wouldve taken forever to transfer the items, and at an outrageous fee. I took it to Office Depot, and the transfer went really quickly, (10 minutes not projected hours), and it was a moderate fee, not hooked up to his in house slooooow internet. This was years ago, so I do not know if it is better now. But, if you have a specialty problem, who knows? I can only review for my transaction there. But, for what I needed, it was not good.

Weve tried 3 times to give this company our business. Each time they seem to be more rude to us than the last. Hal was on the phone during one visit, without even acknowledging my presence, used profanity to the caller until the point I almost departed. They seem to do the work well and at a reasonable price; however appear to be irritated that a customer walks through the door. My son was asked what do you need that couldnt wait until tomorrow? Rude and unprofessional. Weve found assistance with another company.

I took my computer to Just Ask Hal when l realized the hard drive was dying. They were able to clone the hard drive, and get my computer back to me in 3 days. Havent had a single issue with my computer since its return, and l couldnt be more satisfied with my experience.

I have an older model Dell that had a problem. Took it to Hals shop and it was diagnosed and repaired in less than 24hours. Best of all the rate for the repairs was exceptionally reasonable.
