Kevin helped me renovate and sell my moms home after she died.He was incredibly helpful and easy to get in touch with.He recommended we paint the house and replace the flooring, and had some great contractors he lined up for me to use. When it came time to list it on the market, Kevin brought in his own furnishings to stage for the open house. He also brought in some mulch and applied it around the yard where things looks a little scrappy. The open house went super well and we had several offers.Kevin guided me and my brother through the sale process and everything went smooth as butter.I strongly recommend Kevin to anyone looking to sell or buy a home.He was my realtor in 93 to buy my first home and again in 95 when we needed a larger home. I just naturally thought of giving him a call when my mom passed away and I needed to get her house ready to sell.He really knows the real estate market here in Utah and keeps his ear to the ground. He knows what it takes to sell a house and doesnt quit.
Kevin and I met in late 2019 as I was remodeling my Utah home for sale as I was moving out of state. Realistically, it was going to be a starter home for someone. We kept in touch as I finished up the house and he advised me on market trends and what things I should be doing to help with the curb appeal of the home. When I finished the home in February 2020, I moved out of state for work and my wife was right behind me. Well, Covid put a big big torpedo into my plans as absolutely nothing was happening in the Utah Real Estate market, but Kevin said we could use the time to our advantage. During March and April, he came out numerous times to see how we could tweak things and he suggested we paint and epoxy the garage floor to really make it pop. Since I was out of state, he volunteered to come over for a couple days and help my wife prep the garage, paint the floor, etc. He spent a lot of time helping my wife out in my absence. He then brought in a lot of furniture to stage the home for photos as we had moved 95% of our belongings out of the house. Took photos and made up some great direct mail flyers. Now, we waited for Covid. As the beginning of May hit, things were calming down in Utah and he said we needed to list the home as there was very little in our price range out there and it would be popular. So, he put his plan into effect and mailed the flyers mid week, listed it on a Friday, and sat in the home for a very successful open house that Saturday. At the end of Saturdays Open House we got 2 great offers. 1 was over the listing price! We were ecstatic. In the next couple of weeks, Kevin quickly moved us through the process and even called on some of his contractors to come out to fix a few things the buyers wanted done. He didnt just call the contractor, by the way, he got to work and helped them do it! When the home was only 10 days or so from closing, Kevin was going to come out to get the staging furniture but realized we had just emptied the home of ALL of our things and instead of having my wife stay at a hotel, he left his staging furniture for her so she had somewhere to sit, etc.He worked very well with the other agent, always answered my questions quickly, and prefers to talk to his clients by phone as opposed to just texting. He told me his strategy as to why he wanted to do things he did, and he really knew his stuff. It is too bad I cannot use him again. Professionals in any industry out worth gold. I cannot recommend him too highly. He really made this sale happen in the most interesting of times.
We purchased a home at one of the toughest times in the past 2 decades. Homes were on the market less than 48 hours and that required an incredible amount of patience and flexibility from Kevin. He is professional yet candid and always good for a great story. When it came time to negotiate, he was firm but fair, and fought to get us into a beautiful home which we love. No question, well be reaching out to him again with any future needs.
Weve been working with Kevin since 2003 and have had incredibly positive experiences both buying and selling homes with him. As our buyers agent on three homes, Kevin was always willing to spend a lot of extra time making sure we found the right house; he was consistently available to take us to see a home or answer questions about the market. Kevin also sold two homes for us (getting at or above asking price on both homes) and each time he went the extra mile to help us ready the house for sale and ensure we got top dollar. Put simply, Kevin is one of those rare agents who truly cares about his clients happiness and is willing to put in the time and effort necessary to make sure your experience is positive.
Kevin is an exceptional real estate agent. His knowledge of the industry and his ability to communicate with people is a incredible. His phone etiquette is out of this world. If you are looking for an agent thats going to treat you right, this is the one you want to go with. Also just as a side note, he never asked me to post this. Its just my pleasure.
Kevin was a pro when it came to our transaction. We tried to sale our house as a For Sale By Owner but did not get a ton of activity, especially since it is supposed to be a sellers market. We reached out to a couple of agents but they would not return our calls within the same day and would tell us that we should have texted them to get a reply. Kevin was different. He actually values the power of actual communication and that was what I liked initially. We decided to give him a try and were very glad we did. He looked at our house and gave us some very important staging suggestions like some fresh paint in areas, stuff like that. I feel that because of those suggestions we easily got 7000 more than we would have otherwise. Kevin even came over and helped me replace a sink faucet at no charge just because he was our agent and knew how to do it. Working with Kevin was a great experience during a transaction that normally is full of stress and emotion. I can not recommend him enough.
We were first time buyers with very little knowledge about the housing market. When we were looking for a house, things were going off the market extremely quickly, Kevin was always very prompt with his responses, often viewing potential houses with us with barely any notice. He is so knowledgeable, thorough, and patient. We knew he had other clients but we always felt like we were his priority at any time. During negotiations he knew exactly what and how much to ask for to ensure that we would come out as happy buyers, and we did. I highly recommend him to anyone. You will not be disappointed.
I have worked with Kevin on many transactions, he sold my mother’s home and negotiated the purchase of my son’s home, both of them are sitting in equitable situations. I have admired Kevin’s integrity. His methods in business are solid and he has a lot of years of experience. I have been privy to several of his business transactions and have witnessed his method and approach. Kevin does NOT falter to staying honest and true, even when it does not benefit him. He works his guts out and produces results and sells homes quickly because of his years of experience and willingness to do what other agents will not do!!! The internet can only do so much. I have had long talks with him and know his ambition, which is long term service and looking out for his clients investment. That’s rare.
I was a first time homebuyer when Kevin stepped in to help me. I was concerned with all his experience that he wouldn’t want to, or care to help somebody buying a home for the first time. It turned out to be quite the opposite as he seemed to be my one on one partner for the entire process. These are some of the things I appreciated about working with Kevin.1. Walked me through homes personally2. Taught me what to look for and be cognizant of3. handled a myriad of logistical issues with the builder4. Fought for me when he felt the builder was being unfair to me5. Kept me informed on the status of our offer and the closing process6. Ensured that my purchase was going to be a benefit to me based on my purchase price, the neighborhood, the outlook of the investment7. Didn’t play games. He told me how it was without sugar coating it so that we could make moves quickly and intelligently. He just plain got things done and I really needed that.8. What he told me to do while in the home buying process I did. And because I did it turned out exactly as we had discussed. You will only benefit by Kevin being your realtor. He’s smart, easy to work with and delivers.
Kevin Strong was my real estate agent recently in selling my home. He has a good sales pitch and to the uninformed it sounds pretty good until it doesnt. These are the problems I had:1. Kevin told me it was very important to get a bid to replace my swamp cooler because that would certainly be an issue and a cost to be deducted from the selling price. I agreed. He sent over a contractor who told me it wasnt feasible to put in central air and declined to give me a bid. Kevin wanted to go ahead and put my house up for sale without a bid. I disagreed and got 4 of my own bids, from reputable contractors, without any of the issues mentioned by Kevins contractor. I had AC installed for a very reasonable price. Kevin said his contractor was honest and had received no complaints but I was only concerned with my home and the things his contractor told me were not true.2. Kevin had 3 open houses and from the 70 people who came through I had one offer from a buyer qualified to buy my home. It was for full price with me paying closing costs. Kevin countered with me paying half of the closing costs and it made the buyers mad and they withdrew the offer. I was irritated by the 3rd open house when I had to clean and prepare my home again and kick my guests out over Thanksgiving. I decided to Google open houses. What I found out was that according to the National Association of Realtors, only 2% of home sales are the result of open houses and they rarely lead to a higher price or a quicker sale. The real reason realtors hold open houses is to prospect for clients and market themselves. My home sold like the majority, a qualified buyer saw my house on the internet and came through with his agent. Kevins dog and pony show sounds good but its not how homes sell. Its the digital age.3. I felt like the offer I got for my home was low ball and the market was very slow and decided not to take it and sell in March when I felt like the market would be better. Kevin told me that the market would be the same in March, Id be lucky to get an appraisal for the selling price, and I needed to get on with my life. Hes the experienced real estate agent and I believed him and signed the papers. Thinking about it later, it just didnt make sense. In fact, my home is now worth $22,000 more than my selling price, the appraiser knows the selling price going in and the appraisal usually comes in at that price as long as its within a reasonable range. It wasnt just a huge coincidence that the appraisal was the same as the selling price. When I realized that what Kevin told me wasnt true, I wanted to decline the sale but at that point it wasnt an option.4. Kevin told me it was important for me to be at the inspection but then changed the date when I couldnt be there and he was attending an inspection in Park City. I did make a point of meeting the buyer when he had my drains scoped. I found out he was highly motivated to buy my home. When I received the inspection requests I declined to do any of them because they were unreasonable. I felt like the buyer was already getting a low selling price for my home, and I knew by his motivation he would be fine with it and he was. I did fix the gas fireplace in the family room because it is the source of heat in the family room addition and I felt like it was important that it was working. Kevins advice was that its just not done to decline the inspection requests but he knew very little about my home and had never met the buyers. Im sure he didnt want to risk the sale. Apparently it is done and by not following his advice I saved a substantial amount of money. This is not a comprehensive list by any means and by this point I was very frustrated because I couldnt carry on a rational conversation with Kevin. I requested we communicate by email, which was much easier for me.Facts dont matter to Kevin so if youre an uninformed seller and accept everything he says then hes the guy for you but if you want someone who is looking out for your best interests go somewhere else.Delete review
My wife and I have sold 4 homes and bought 3 throughout our 23 years being married. Kevin went far above and beyond any other agents weve hired. He held open houses for us, his first open house he provided lunch for guests. He also sent out mailers to our neighborhood and even knocked on doors the night before to invite them! Who does that? We sold our house in 4 weeks and got full price. He did have us do some work on our home to improve its appearance which was well worth the effort and money we spent. Thanks Kevin!
I used Kevin Strong as a Real Estate agent and was impressed with his knowledge of the industry, from listing to selling to negotiating he was professional and got the job done. I have recommended Kevin to my family.
