I worked for this company for about 3 months. Every week, they managed to screw up my check. I left the company over a month ago, yet I have not received my final paycheck. After reaching out through email and calls, I kept getting the run around. It’s then end of January. I left the company due to unprofessional and unethical treatment towards the workers. No compassion for the clients, it’s ALL about a check with this company. Checks are bouncing when trying to get them cashed. It’s a NO for me. It’s been a nightmare!!!!

I worked there for a week loved the clients but the staff was not able to give me the hours I needed. Also when it came to getting paid It has been a nightmare. My check was to be sent out on the 20 th of november and it is December 2 and still have not gotten paid .I dont work for free and I just feel that I have been taken advantage of. They need a better accounting staff that makes sure that there employees get paid for the time that we worked.

The home care employees were all very helpful and kind to our grandmother, and we were very pleased with the service. Unfortunately, after having settled our account, Black Pearl is not refunding our $6000+ deposit. Weve been working on getting the refund for almost a month now, and they still cant even send us a real refund receipt. So despite the good service, I cant rate them well while theyre holding so much of my money. Ill update the review if/when we get our deposit back.Edit: We did eventually get our deposit back after the initial check they wrote for it bounced. So Ive updated the rating from 2 to 3 stars.

All positive experiences for me and everyone I’ve recommended! We’ve had great help and when we have an issue they resolve it. Going on two years with them now and I know they have a lot of clients but I still feel that I’m a priority.

The help, and communication I received for my father was outstanding. They were relentless in acquiring the right staff, until the caregivers were perfect. I can’t imagine how difficult it is to deal with different families, and expectations. However, I knew anything I requested, or suggested was a top priority. I wrote a review and it has been deleted. This company will not pay back my deposit and the service is horrible. Also tried to go back a year later and say I owed more money which is fraud.No way should you pay their prices for this kind of service

Best work experience here, nothing negative to point. I love my co workers we help each other achieve goals and I love my clients I work with on a daily basis.

When I first started working with this company it was not only an amazing company but it was the best all around. They offered so many wonderful things to show their appreciation. They did caregiver of the month and year and money was no issue. They cared about making a difference in the world. They cared so much for their employees and the people they were taking care of. But now everything has changed. I havent seen one person be recognized for the monthly or yearly award, they have stopped paying holiday pay, they changed their travel policy to where you really dont get paid anything to drive 100 miles round trip, now they only pay one way too, I have heard the office people talking about not giving people their deposits back and they were told they would, no one is ever in the office anymore, we dont have either of our coordinators that we could go to about anything, the manager sarah is rude, I dont know, I could go on forever. I will just end with would i have recommended the place a few months ago? YES!! Now? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! Oh and my last pay check k i had to wait for 3 weeks to get bc the owner decided to go to twice a month starting March 1 but refused to pay us our last one on 2/28 so we only got 1 check the entire month of February. When you arent making much as it is, it is really a struggle to do that. The only good thing there now is the caregivers (some) and the office girl Leslie. She was always so nice to me.
