I hired Modern Flooring Services and they did a great job on our installation for me and my husband. They have been great at communication and answered all of our questions and helped us out a lot throughout the process. The quality was great and the results are fantastic. Would highly recommend it to everyone for their next flooring installation. We have a potential tile project that we are thinking to do next year, so we will definitely call Modern to get an estimate

These guys have done an installation for my daughter in law. They were fantastic. The installation process was a breeze, and the events leading up to it was really good as well. We are very happy that we choose this company. My daughter in law is disabled and although the project was really invasive, the installers were really polite, sensitive and professional. It took 4 weeks from the original start date until the job was finished and we could move back in. We received notice only two hours before start, and nearly 80% of my calls to Modern Flooring went directly to voicemail. Modern Flooring manages the scheduling logistics, but the work is done by subcontractors. They will follow up well during scheduling, but fail to come through on the work.And then you are at the mercy of the installation team they schedule. They could be good... could be bad. We had three teams assigned to us. The first was a no-show with only two hours notice. The second showed up 3-4 hours late and did a terrible job. The third showed up two hours early and did a good job. The question is... do you feel lucky?

My husband and I was super happy we used Modern Flooring for installation of our backsplash tile for our kitchen. They are very professional and answered all my question. I like it when I asked Dimitri a question and when he did not know the answer he asked someone first to make sure he is giving the right information. Vald also went above and beyond when I had to reschedule my initial appointment due to Floor and Decor messed up my order he even offer to check with one of their people is anyone can pick up my order to help us out. Our installer Kyle (not 100% sure if I got his name right) was awesome too. He moves so fast like a ninja. watching him we felt confident he knows what he is doing and did it very well. I will go to them again for any future project I will have.

2 weeks in a row they didn’t show up. The original time was scheduled 6 weeks out. I explained after the first no-show that it is very difficult for me to take time off of work to meet them and they assured me it wouldn’t happen again.Update: a PR rep from the company called me within an hour or two of posting this asking how they could get me to take my post down. I said if they actually showed up the next time and did a decent job Id be happy to. Even after this, they were 6 hours late the next day, then didnt show up to finish the job on a following day and just canceled the project unfinished. In addition, the partial work they did was shoddy and may have to be redone. They failed to line up the new tile with the existing tile, and they didnt level the tile between the bathroom hall so theres a drop and mismatch in tile orientation. This was a small project (~30 sq ft half bathroom) that should have been a simple one day job. This company has no respect for your time or money. Their office staff are friendly and sympathetic, but this doesnt matter if at the end of the day it doesnt translate to the project actually getting completed.

Did an excellent job on the installation of my vinyl plank flooring. Very awkward/tricky turn in my bathroom, but they got the job done.

I used Modern Flooring Services for my recent home gym installation. I wanted to replace the old carpet in a bedroom to match it with the engineered maple in the hallway. The installer did an excellent job. They connected the existing wood floor in the hallway to the new one. The transition from the hallway to the room is seamless. You can only tell the new and old flooring apart by the age difference of the material. I’m sure this will blend better with time as the maple begins to yellow like the rest of the house. The installer removed and reused my baseboards as requested. All I had to do was run a bead of silicon sealer and paint the trim. They even reinstalled my closet door mounting plates in the same spot they were removed from. I’m really glad I didn’t try to make this a DIY project. I would use Modern Flooring Services again.

No shows two days in a row. I bought all the materials which I had to pay for delivery of from Floor and Decor and then sat waiting for installers while being promised by Vlad all morning, both days that they were on their way. Missed two half-days of work for no reason. No remedy but asking for my deposit back. Pathetic.

We are very happy with our new flooring. The crew from Modern Flooring Services was fast, professional and polite. They did an excellent job installing our hardwood floors. They kept us informed during the process and managed our expectations well. The job was scheduled for five days and they finished at the end of the second day. We would use them again and recommend them.

Modern flooring completed the install of luxury vinyl planks in four rooms and a hallway in my home. I am very happy with the floors. The 2 young men that installed the floors were extremely hard workers. The staff was very available via text and phone and were able to facilitate communication between myself and the installers. I will use them again for my next flooring project.

We had a very tight timeline after closing on our house to get the new floors installed before we moved. And they finished installation a day early! This is the installer we got when we purchased our flooring thru Lumber Liquidators in Kent Wa. They showed up on time for the measuring and were super responsive on the phone but the installer never showed up. We called several times and kept being told they are on there way but just never showed up or called us to give us anytime frames we had to keep calling them. we have had boxes of flooring sitting in our home for 2 weeks. Not sure what the deal is but I would certainly not ever consider this company again

I cant say enough about these guys. I found Modern Flooring Services when I was having a very difficult time with another installer that did a horrible job and I had to stop the job mid-way through. I called Modern Flooring Services via a reference from someone else in almost a panic, and they calmly walked me through how they were going to fix my vinyl plank installation job in my one bedroom apartment. Throughout the entire thing, their communication was impeccable -- whether over phone, email or text. They talked me through every concern I had, fixed anything I needed to have fixed as the job progressed, and made sure that the job was inspected by a supervisor at the end to boot. The team is Russian, and despite a language barrier with one of the main installers (who was excellent), I had absolutely zero problem working with the team to convey and get exactly what I needed, and on a tight budget. They never minded my questions about line items, change orders, and need for further explanations. I cant recommend them enough, I will definitely be working with them again. I called about getting an estimate for a hardwood repair. Was asked to pay $100 for the estimate upfront. I did and asked the guy that I spoke with if it would be credited towards the service if I chose to use their company and he assured me it would, but when it came time to schedule the service he told me that it would not go toward the service. It wasn’t so much the price but the dishonesty that made me choose another company.
