The masters are great with the kids! I love that my son is learning discipline, respect, and achieving a goal little steps at a time. All while having fun!
Two of our boys started attending TaeKwon Kids about 2.5 years ago. We researched several Taekwondo dojangs and even attended some trial classes. A friend recommended TaeKwon Kids and after our first trial class, we knew we found the right place. Compared to the other dojangs, we could immediately tell that the instructors were top notch masters, that the classes were professionally conducted, and that they specifically catered to kids. After having our kids attend TaeKwon Kids for more than 2 years, weve personally seen how genuine the instructors are in caring for each students growth and advancement. We see that they have a special bond and sincere mentor relationship with each student. What we appreciate most is that they not only have a rigorous teaching environment, but they also focus on teaching their students core values of respect, ethics, and perseverance. TaeKwon Kids goes beyond teaching martial arts and instills confidence and grit into each student. We initially had our boys start Taekwondo as a side hobby, but its really developed into a passion for both our boys. TaeKwon Kids created an environment that is challenging but also encouraging and fun such that our boys sincerely look forward to each class to see their instructors and friends. Were also very happy to see that our boys are truly advancing in their Taekwondo abilities and are amazed to see how much theyve grown (theyve reached brown and red belts so far).We view TaeKwon Kids as more than a dojang where our kids learn Taekwondo. Not only is TaeKwon Kids high quality by martial arts standards, but it is a special community to us with the instructors, students, and parents. We have a younger daughter who we cant wait to enroll into TaeKwon Kids like her older brothers once she gets old enough. Our family definitely plans to stay with TaeKwon Kids knowing what a positive influence it is and will be in our childrens lives.
The teaching at Taekwonkids is beyond excellent. Every instructor they hire is a master in the field, dedicated, kind, passionate, and invested in your kids. Both my boys have gained much from this program. If you are looking to get kids away from video games for healthier pursuits, and for kids to learn self-control, perseverance, respect, and honor-this is the right place. The incredible physical exercise kids get helps them get healthy and boosts their endurance and agility for other sports as well. I love seeing how they are sweating out their toxins and stress every time with big smiles on their faces afterwards with hearts and lungs that have been pumping strong. My boys enjoy basketball, tennis, and golf, but they will never willingly stretch or do cardio-intensive PE on their own! But Taekwondo pushes them to develop their stretching and cardio fitness in a much more fun and engaging way. The belt promotion tests are excellent challenges for teaching them to work towards goals and overcome mental and physical hurdles. Kids learn to memorize not only tough physical defensive maneuvers, but memorize and recite codes to live more honorable lives; they learn to speak in public more confidently and with greater assurance, which are critical life skills. The fact that they can now defend themselves anywhere like cool lions under immense self-control is another added plus! :)The positive group dynamics where kids as a group learn how to humbly persevere and mature as respectful humans is also great for kids psyches, especially in this often tech-obsessed and entitled age. The TKK kids we know in this program grow and mature as much kinder and thoughtful human beings, which is probably my favorite benefit of this program.During COVID challenges, this organization did a tremendous job of facilitating online learning with varied and plentiful ways to meet different learning styles and schedules. Kids can partake in outdoor in-person classes or dynamic live Zoom classes or recorded practice sessions in a vibrant online learning platform. They also offer free tutoring sessions with junior instructors as well as opportunities for private instruction at extremely reasonable prices. While my son was practicing for his black belt test, the private instruction helped him learn miles faster and helped him believe in himself even more.Im proud to say that my older son earned a black belt at this institution, and highly recommend TKK! If youre on the fence about whether martial arts is worth the time and investment, Taekwonkids is definitely worth it and more.
Weve been part of Taekwon kids for 2+ years. You can tell the teachers really care about the kids and love what they do. They teach not just skills but positive/thankful attitude towards life in general and theyve been doing a fantastic job during these hard times working around the clock to develop meaningful programs during SIP.
Great outdoor classes to keep kids engaged during Covid times
I have become a big fan of this gymbecause of master ChinSonu.he has a vision and passion to education of childrenI love it! and I respect him.
We are huge fans of Taekwon Kids. Our daughter has been attending for over a year now. The instructors are all fabulous, the facilities are clean and comfortable for adults waiting, and they even have a dedicated area for younger siblings to play during classes. The free coffee and tea bar is amazing too. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a good activity for your child!
This place is nice on the inside but most importantly it is run by some great instructors. They are great work kids and very beyond patient with students trying to learn. The have great values and do a very good job to pass that down to the kids!
So far so good. Great schedule
By far the best martial arts studio in Bay area.
Kids have been going here for years and I feel that Taekwonkids have certainly helped them mature.
Best Tae Kwon Do school ever. Dedicated teaching staff, fun curriculum, and first class facilities stand out. First the dedicated teaching staff is led by Masters Sonu - the brother masters that lead the place. These guys are very personable, focused on teaching values like hard work and obedience to parents, and care about the kids. Second, the fun curriculum is really noticeable. They incorporate strong suits from a variety of marshal arts and teach it to the kids particularly during Black Belt club classes. My son enjoys learning about using various weapons (e.g. nunchucks) and executing rolling & falling techniques. He also loves the occasional games of dodgeball that break out in the dojang (using pillow balls). Finally, the facilities are first rate. A gigantic learning area is surrounded by glass windows so parents can watch the learning. The ample waiting area and WIFI help also. Everything seems clean and new.
Space for parents, Wi-Fi, teachers. Good value.
Instructors are friendly and helpful
