An excellent Muay Thai gym and Ryan is an extremely knowledgeable and friendly coach. Its the perfect gym for both beginners and more experienced people. I highly recommend checking it out, especially for women who are looking for self defense skills!
T2 is an amazing place to learn Muay Thai regardless of your experience or ability. Ryan has made his gym such a wonderful, approachable community, while also creating every single day a challenge for everyone. If youre looking to learn some real Muay Thai, youll definitely learn something or get better at T2. Its such a great place to learn and grow.
Ryan is absolutely amazing coach and extremely friendly and humble person. Hes passionate about teaching Muay Thai and very considerate towards others. While looking for martial arts gyms I was concerned that people in the gym would be either too soft/shy, or way too aggressive or simply intimidating. Thats not the case with this gym. People here are really friendly and helpful. Gym itself is very nice and daily maintained and cleaned by Ryan, including equipment. This gym is perfect for people of all levels and experience! 💯🙏
If you’re looking to train in Muay Thai, I highly recommend T2. Ryan, the owner/trainer, is patient and has extensive experience in the sport and in teaching. He pushes you to train hard, but is incredibly encouraging. He’s also a super nice guy and totally down-to-earth. You may catch him gushing about his love for Dave Matthews Band.Class sizes tend to be small, so you’ll get a lot of personal attention. Workouts vary by the day, so you won’t get bored! You’ll probably sweat a lot, though.I’ve trained at three different gyms in my lifetime and can sincerely say that the other students at T2 are some of the nicest martial arts practitioners I’ve had the pleasure of working with. As a woman in a predominantly-male sport, I’m always a little wary about getting ego or machismo when I join a gym. I have yet to experience any at T2. It’s quite refreshing. You aren’t required to spar if you aren’t comfortable. There is a specific class each week dedicated to sparring, so if you want to and feel ready, you can attend. At the same time, if you’re training to compete, Ryan can help you towards that goal.Positive environment, great workout, even better stress release. I look forward to training each time I go.
Every hour I train I always learn something new, it never fails. I trained in Thailand and have been around many gyms around the bay area. Ryan is hands down better than some trainers in Thailand! I normally never leave reviews for business but I like this gym so much it deserves one.
A great muay thai gym! Coach Ryan Roy is very skilled and knowledgeable (ex pro fighter with Fairtex pedigree) who focuses on building solid MT fundamentals in a welcoming, safety-first environment.Youll find a wide range of ages and skill levels here, and many different reasons for training. Some compete, some want to improve their martial arts skills, some train more for fun and fitness. But everyone here takes their training seriously, so you know youll get a great workout and that your time here will be well spent. The coach, people and overall gym vibe and culture make this a great place to start or continue your muay thai journey.
I never leave business reviews, but absolutely had too in this case... Ive trained at countless gyms over the last 15 years (including in the Army), and this was bar none the single best gym Ive ever trained at. WORLD CLASS instruction of true Muay Thai, with a trainer who works with you 1 on 1, takes time to truly fine tune your technique and pushes you hard. Plus awesome atmosphere and TONS of respect/kindness shown as well. Very grateful to have found T2/Coach Ryan. This gym reminds me of one of those amazing lil hole in the wall restaurants that isnt flashy and doesnt advertise, but has the best food imaginable.
Ryan is a knowledgeable guy and knows how to run a class and answer any questions you might have. Ive definitely noticed my technique improve over the last 3 months, largely due to his quality guidance and coaching.
I had a very good experience learning Muay Thai here. The atmosphere is awesome and Ryan is the man! I loved learning from him and the great people that train here.
A very technically sound gym that does not hide behind endless cardio.
Awesome instructor. He really takes the time to make sure everyone is progressing at whatever level they are.
Highly recommend. Comparing with other trainers, Ryan is much more involved in the class.
