DO NOT RENT FROM PETES.I requested a skid steer and specifically stated Id be using it to spread stone to build a driveway. The machine they dropped off was a forestry machine and was apparently not designed for this use because the rubber wheels it had on it wore down quickly. I returned the machine and Petes would not take ANY RESPONSIBILITY for the damage and charged me $3200 to replace the wheels on the machine.I rented a machine from Essex Equipment the week before to do the exact same job and had absolutely no problems at all and they were much more pleasant to work with.From this experience its obvious that Petes employees are completely unaware of the intended uses of the machines they rent and then take advantage of customers by charging them to service machines in their shop.Many other people in the area have had similarly bad experiences with Petes Equipment. I will be avoiding them entirely in the future and would recommend anyone else to do the same.

Completely lied to about cost. Was quoted half of what I was charged. The bill was absolutly unreasonable! Seemed like they didnt know what they were doing. Will never bring anything to them again! Save your money and go some other place !

Misleading about prices with a truly devistating result for us. Ended up getting charged way more than they had me understand when I rented the equipment. I’m not sure if they are used to regulars who know all the details of how things work or if that’s just how they end up making their money but that way of operating a business ended up being really heartbreaking for us, their customer.

Deceitful. Wont admit fault in any areas- human error with the paperwork or when the salesman makes a mistake. Worst of all nobody that works there cares that the salesman was unprofessional, disrespectful or degrading. They just laugh about it and say that Im the one that was wrong for taking a disrespectful comment the wrong way and they refuses to apologize for it. Take your business elsewhere to someone that will at least pretend to be sincere.

Customer service was great, but the prices of the rentals were pretty high. Also when I visited there was no option for delivery and was directed somewhere else for that. Which is fine but also having the option to rent some of the used equipment they sell would be a plus for customers who are on a tighter budget. I understand its a business and the machinery is expensive and in the end I wasnt able to rent anything due to the cost of outside delivery being nearly as much as the rental itself. Considering I live 6 miles from the location the fees seemed high. Im sure if you can haul your own equipment or your financial situation isnt a concern then you will be very happy shopping here. Some people just want a simple tractor with a bucket (no fancy cab with a heater and other bells and whistles) and I wasnt able to get that here. All in all a great company and good customer service but not for the little guy perhaps.

Disrespectful, arrogant, over priced and incompetent Sales ... Service hacks/scammers I wouldn’t let them fix my push lawn mower . Don’t waist your time

We purchased a tractor from Petes this fall just before the snow started to fall. Used it for 19 hours and one of the welds broke. The tractor was not under manufactures warranty, but Petes fixed it for us. Excellent Customer Service! Thanks!!
