Monk’s repaired and replaced damaged shower floor, tile, wood framing, shower pan, drain, insulation, and added water-proofing system and marble slabs for glass. John at Monk’s was super responsive always getting back to me in a timely manner. He also stayed on top of our project to see that it started in a very reasonable timeframe. All of the work took 4 days to complete and the quality of the work exceeded our expectations. The shower looks so much better than it did when it was first installed. I would highly recommend Monk’s for any home improvement job.

We used Monks to have our upstairs bathroom fixed (due to a leak), and they completely gutted the shower area and retiled everything. It looks absolutely amazing! Miguel lead the bathroom remodel, and Bill was our project manager and both were so great to work with. We would highly recommend Monks and will definitely be using them again in the future for other projects!

Weve worked with John Mangiafreno at Monks twice for our kitchen and bathroom remodel. John and his team (Gido, Gio, Johnny) are extremely professionally, efficient, and talented. The job site is swept clean after every day and they take care of your house as of its their own. John is always accessible for any question or concern you might have. Throughout the project John is open and transparent when he sets realistic expectations, that he always exceeds.

Working with Monks was a totally positive experience. It started with Brian coming to our home, seeing our space and getting an understanding of our vision for it. This was then accurately conveyed to Nicole, our designer who really got what we were looking for. We were given options that matched our aesthetic as well as price point and at no time did I feel pushed or rushed into a decision. Clarke, our project manager, and Miguel our foreman were equally awesome. We were out of town during the renovation and were kept informed by email and phone. In addition, we face-timed during the construction process which was especially helpful when certain choices needed to be made. The construction was completed within the projected 5 week timetable which was a major concern to us going into the renovation.The finished product is gorgeous! The experience was as stress-free as can be expected and I cannot say enough about the quality of the workmanship. We highly recommend Monks!

Monk’s gut renovated our bathroom with excellent high quality products and extremely expert craftsmanship.

Monks did an outstanding job on the total renovation of my master bathroom. The quality of the construction was excellent and my project manager was extremely helpful and responsive in resolving any issues. Having the design studio available made the choices of materials very easy and they were great choices. The only negative in the bathroom project was the choice of faucets where I did not receive enough information from the designer about the restricted water flow in the product they chose. Separately I also had my stairs refinished and they came out wonderfully. It was hard to believe that stairs that were covered up for 40 years could look brand new. Overall it was an excellent job and a pleasure to work with them.

Trevor and his team did a great job with my hallway closet install. We had a few minor bumps early on but they fixed the issue and owned the error, which very few companies do. I have had an amazing experience with Monks. My project was extensive and I had great communication from Monks overall. I worked with both the construction and the design arms of the company. Jennifer was my design consultant. I had a lot of ideas and site constraints and she worked multiple scenarios with me to get to the ultimate solution. I would recommend Monks to anyone - in fact, I already have to several colleagues.

Do not believe the story that they run two separate businesses, one for design and one for construction. They are VERY tied together, and if you arent happy with one, the other will not work with you - despite their constant claims to the contrary. They will also simply give you a VERY inflated construction price based on nothing but a giant guess. When you ask them to work with you to understand and explain the number so that you can maybe work on an alternate design that is closer to budget, you will be made to feel as if you have to ask the price, then we dont want to work with you. This company operates on finding people wealthy enough to simply pay whatever is asked and never question it. In the 21st century, you are better served by finding reasonable business people who want to work with you and help you realize your dream and not rape your wallet in the process.

Monks Design Studio is an incredibly thorough design center! They provide everything you need for your renovation. I couldnt recommend them enough!
