Worst duct cleaning service I’ve ever had in my whole life. My house is in a mess, the dirt is all over in my house and in my backyard. I guess they should have cleaned at least somewhat. They missed 3 air ducts and said the job was done when I pointed out they started shouting and being rude that I should have keep the count. I’m done with Sears, no more business with you.

Got a price for all items (2 of each sofa, love seat, chair & ottoman) for this zip code.... when they called to confirm the details, they added an additional $100 to the price & tried to tell me that “Sears website was having problems” and quoting incorrect prices... SHYSTER CONTRACTORS!!!!Ended up hiring a small independent small business owner, very pleasant, accommodating and he doesn’t do work for Sears!!!! The price was a little higher than the original price quoted by Sears, but still less than the price they ended up wanting with the additional $100 their contractor added on!!!!🤬🤬DO NOT USE SEARS UPHOLSTERY CLEANING SERVICES.... Incompetent - Scheduled a cleaning on 11/1 for 11/17. I had to call them to get a scheduled arrival time. Waited in my home during the scheduled period but No show. I called the office and was told technician showed up at house when I was here the entire time. Obviously they lied to cover their incompetence and they dont know how to use GPS. Great way to waste my entire day.**************************************************************************RESPONSE - Interesting, how does one try to leave a voicemail without doing so? You left a voicemail after my review but your tech and office manager did not.There is no note on my door. I was home ALL day with my son. Obviously, your tech entered the wrong address in the GPS because he was not at my house,There is no need for me to call you as I have made other arrangements. I have no desire to waste more of my time with an incompetent organization. Perhaps you should check your systems to ensure your tech knows how to leave a voicemail, can verify an address with your office for an appointment and knows how to enter the correct address in GPS to arrive on time.

Had a real bad experience with this group. From the first telephone call to the company, the lies, false promise and false advertising unraveled. Sears has a customer satisfaction guarantee, but they dont stand behind it. In other words, if the customer is dissatisfied, and the management of the particular franchise lies to Sears headquarters, Sears backs the management.In our case, we werent satisfied with the first service for a number of reasons. By telephone Sears promised that there were no hidden gimmicks, when they came out there was nothing hidden we had to buy, that the only thing extra was a type of air freshener that they would demonstrate to us that we had the option of buying. When the technicians got here, before looking at our system, they started to push getting the A/C coils cleaned for an additional $375. The technician stated that if we didnt get the A/C coils cleaned, the warranty would be invalid. I said that I didnt want it, and they proceeded to clean the air ducts.The technician stated that they could not use the high powered vacuum, the duct they needed wasnt accessible, so they used an old shop vac that had a hose that collapsed inward when the machine was turned on, rendering it pretty much useless.My wife complained there was a lot of dust coming out when the heat went on. The management didnt respond for a week, and finally with my last email they responded and promised to redo the job at no cost. They also promised to honor the advertising promise that they would clean the heater blower, that SEARS advertising touts, and which they didnt the first time out.When SEARS came out the second time, this time with a supervisor, I was at work, my wife took off from work to be there, and they refused to clean the vents again, shone a light from a cell phone down the vents and said they were clean. They refused also to clean the heater blower. I talked to them on the phone and reminded them of the promises of the management, but they adamantly refused to do anything. The blower was easily accessible with the removal of a couple of screws, but they refused to clean it.When I sought a partial refund from SEARS, the management lied and stated that I wouldnt let them near the heating system. SEARS backed up their franchise rather than the customer.I would stay very clear from Rockaway/Morristown SEARS Carpet & Air Duct Cleaning. Look at my reviews and see how many positive reviews there are for contractors. This is the only negative experience I had with a contractor. Dont let the SEARS name fool you, these guys are the type of contractors everyone wants to avoid.

Crew was very nice and were polite. You couldnt tell until the next day that they had missed several spots and the carpets look very good in some places and other places they look terrible. The cleaner and the steamer did not make it to those parts at all. I am not happy with the service. They worked very quickly...maybe that is why the cleaning was so hit and miss. I will not use them again.

Its refreshing to still find companies that start their day with customer service and education. I did not feel like I was a number. Techs explained and educated me on duct cleaning and how important a good filter and clean unit is. Thank you. Had my ducts cleaned last week for the first time. Service was great. Techs showed up in the time window that they gave me. explained everything that was going on every step of the way. The prices were fair.

Had a scheduled appointment for sat, someone called a day before and confirmed the time for appointment and then no one showed up. I called back to clarify the situation and a rude person with no customer service experience (in very unfriendly tone) updated me that the system has my appointment for later that day and asked me what do you want to do, I said i will wait for the technician. Later that day, the technician calls me up to tell me that he is not going to make it due to technical issue (I said fine, it happens) and someone from his office will call you to reschedule for next day. I am still waiting.... after wasting my two whole days.

Really wished I would have done my homework first. These guys came and cleaned my ducts and done more harm than anything. After the work was complete I checked my duct return and it was totally still filthy. And one of the covers was missing, I called immediately but they came one week later and said looks like the vent cover was not there. Then why they didnt tell me before the work started. The guy in charge was the rudest person ever. He never explained anything, if you asked him question he will come back with the rudest answer. Please dont use them.

A few Months back, they came to clean my ducts. Hooked up pipe to the closest vent near the door. Isn’t it supposed to go to where the furnace is? Blew the vents with air, with dust flying all over, and didn’t even plan on cleaning the dust from the wood floors. Scammers. Will never use again. Seems like they don’t really know what they are doing and lazy. Rather pay a little more but get someone more professional.

Horrible service not clean ducts. I have same horrible experiences like other reviewers with Sears Air Duct Cleaning in Morristown NJ. Long story short, they come and complaint about my new system just installed 2 months earlier, charge extra vent didn’t even touch, do no work left my home dusty from blowing dust into all the rooms. 3 Crews left less than 30 minutes in and out not check any vents at all, horrible. I make many calls and they don’t return call, finally track them down, they ask second chances to re-clean with different crews yet days later send same crews mess up my home, had to ask them send other crews and they ignore, no call back. really wasting my times off from work. Over 1.5 hrs call with Chris Ross their manager is deceiving person deal with him is useless trying offer me 50% off for my complaint as with Sears Holdings in Chicago to BBB. Never again Sears, you are out of business for good.

Had a Air Duct cleaning this week. Dan and his crew did a great job. I got one of those blue lights and its helping with my allergies!

One of the worst companies I have had the pleasure to call on behalf of my mother. Unfortunately, my mother made the mistake to use them. They coerced her into buying a $500 blue light by saying that the part was missing from her furnace. Up sold her on the advertised price vs. the real price of the work. They then left open holes in her duct work in a unheated heated area of her garage and garbage in her utility closet. After I complained to their corporate office, which took several phone calls, they offered 50% off on the blue light and to close up the holes. Of course no one has followed up to fix the mess. They have the worst customer service of any company I have ever had the pleasure to call. Dont expect any call backs and be prepared verbally abused by their local Morristown New Jersey office personnel.

Run away! Cleaners lare young untrained males. They saw no problem dragging hoses and wires through snow and mud into my home. They dragged them over hardwood floors, knocked the dirty stuff across newly painted woodwork. They only did the closet with an open door ...never inquired about the other 3 . AND the dirt outside the heating ducts are still there. Ditto the dimples from furniture that is no longer there. VERY DISAPPOINTED

Clogged dryer vents can lead to serious fire hazards, which is why we always recommend Sears Air Duct Cleaning to professionally clean the ducts. Even if you clean lint our of your dryer after every cycle, lint still makes it passed the lint catcher and into the vents, eventually clogging it up and reducing efficiency. If the dryer gets clogged enough, the lint can get blown back into the dryers heating elements and start a fire! If you believe you may have an issue with your dryer vents, like it taking 2 cycles to dry your load, then call Sears Air Duct Cleaning immediately!

In spite of me calling repeatedly, I got the answer that they would call back and never called back to confirm the schedule. Out of the blue, a technician calls and announces that he is here to clean when were not at all prepared! Then this Paula lady calls and very rudely informs me that they are waiving the charges in spite of us cancelling in the last minute!

Revised: Store Manager contacted myself and the service was completed within the next few days after a horrible start. I would reccomend the answering service focus on their customer service. They seem miserable. However, I will say Sears held up there end of the bargain and I will be glad to upgrade this to a 4-star. Make sure you ask for a manager everytime though.

They destroyed our hardwood floors and dryer when servicing our air ducts.After moving into our home, we had our hard wood floors refinished and purchased a new washer/dryer (from Sears). A week later, Sears Carpet Cleaning & Air Duct Cleaning came out to clean our air ducts. In the process, they managed to make deep scratches in all of our floors throughout the home - the floors that had been redone just weeks prior. And, they scratched up the top of our dryer by placing their tools and equipment on it as they worked on the air duct system. This was back in June, and they still have not responded properly to our complaints and requests for restitution. I would advise anyone considering this company to turn around, walk away and never look back. They will give you the biggest headache of your life, and will destroy your home and your belongings.

I scheduled the duct cleaning service after purchasing my home back in 2013. Their advertised promotion was very attractive and after inspection they told me the revised cost would be more because i had more number of vents (total 37). Then they convinced me to clean my dryer vent, HVAC coils and install 2 new APAC UV systems. After negotiations, they finally agreed to do the entire job for about $3000. Their original advertised price was only $300 for 2 units !!! The UV system only costs about $400 with lifetime warranty @ amazon. Neither showed me before and after video images of the ducts nor removed the coils for cleaning.10/11/2017 Update: After seeing my review, they contacted me with the following response (edited):Good Morning Arul,First I would like to extend to you my extreme gratitude for your feedback in your experience with the duct cleaning and IAQ product that we installed in your home. Its these feedback that I can take in account and help make my customers have a more positive experience.As per our conversation I expressed to you why we charge what we do and do standby that having the IQ product handy on our truck is very convenient factor for the homeowner The cost of doing business with this product on hand on truck unfortunately is going to be higher and cannot be compared to miscellaneous websites that have it for cheaper because they are not taking in a fact the cost of convenience installation etc...and we also back our product with a lifetime warranty which they cannot. I scheduled a simple air duct cleaning on Aug. 9th, 2016 based on a promotional flyer I received from Sears in the mail (Clean Air Ducts and up to 10 vents for $149). After a few hours of cleaning, the Sears employees left with $3,390 of my money- and I was left scratching my head about what had just happened. I understand that Sears Air Duct Cleaners make their money by charging higher prices for every additional air vent over their promotional limit (costing me $578), and by identifying dirty coils that need cleaning (costing me $300 each * 2 = $600). But where I have an issue with their up-selling practice is when they convinced me that I needed two of their APCO UV light air purifiers and charged me $995 each (totaling $1,990), when I later found the same devices sell on their website for $369. I called Sears to inquire why they charged me triple the cost for an air purifier, and they explained that the additional $600+ per unit is to cover a warranty and installation fees. Had I understood this at the time when they made me make an on-the-spot decision, I most certainly wouldnt have purchased them. They also failed to fully explain that the warranty does not include replacing the air purifiers UV light bulbs, which will need to be replaced every year- and only a Sears Air Duct Cleaning employee can do this or else the warranty is nullified. Now I am extremely disappointed, frustrated, and feel very taken advantage of. I want to warn others against Sears Air Duct Cleaning and hope BBB can put a stop to their scamming, manipulative, taking advantage of customers behavior.
