Used this business through AAA to tow my car after hitting a deer on my way to vacation. Bill was extremely professional and friendly! He made a stressful situation into a good one and arrived at the time he said he would. Being from out of state, he put my mind at ease that my car was going to be taken care of and delivered to my home.

This towing company is in a small town called Morgantown where their tactic is to prey on people. Any car with a different state plate number is always targeted and they find any invalid reason to towe your car. I was parked in a guest parking spot in a residential building For up to 2 hours my car was towed literally 2 min away from the shop and they’re trying to charge 250$ for that. They have become more greedy and i advise people to file a lawsuit.

Someone had my car towed from a spot that is frequently used by random people who dont even live on my street after being parked there for a few hours over night. When I saw that my car was gone in the morning I knew immediately what company had towed it because these scammers PREY on people. When I called that morning, the receptionist told me it would cost $105 to pick it up, after it was towed only a block away. I said fine Ill be there in 2 minutes. Once I got there and she finally got off the phone to talk to me she told me it was going to cost $150! She tried to justify their business by telling me they were just doing their jobs and thats why my car was towed, if youre just doing your jobs then you should have told me the correct price when I initially called! This place is filled with sharks, never trust them.

Absolutely terrible service and receptionist is a total ravenous witch to anyone who doesnt want to give her money. I was towed from my parking spot at my apartment by THEIR MISTAKE because the receptionist incorrectly relayed that spot #23 needed towed instead of the correct #25. My parking permit was clearly displayed and it matched my parking spot number, but they checked neither of those before towing. I woke up to take an 8am midterm exam to find my car gone from its assigned spot and had to run to make it to my exam LATE via PRT with no idea where my car was while I was taking my exam. The company argued with my apartment manager and mother that they towed the correct car and refused to let me have my car back until after 3+ hours of bickering and providing proof to them that the FORD SUPER DUTY TRUCK that they were dispatched to get was still in the spot it needed moved from and that I, a HONDA CIVIC was parked where I should have been. How they confused the description of a green Ford Super Duty truck and my blue Honda Civic I will never know. The receptionist told my mother that it was none of her business as to why my car was towed at all and told her that it was MY fault the car was towed because I had parked badly and that we needed to pay if I wanted my car back. When I picked up my car the receptionist told me you can have your car back now its down there and said nothing else. OH THANK YOU! So glad they did me that huge favor of dragging my car off and forcing me to nearly miss a midterm exam and to miss an entire days wages because I had no way to get to work, only to allow me to get my car back from them. I have received ZERO apologies nor basic manners from them even though they towed and scraped up my car.I couldnt recommend them less if I tried and I dont recommend going there for anything until they get a new dragon guarding the front desk and update their policies to ask for license plate numbers of vehicles they need to tow. Whoever Rick is would be the only redeeming quality of the place, he sorted out my car ordeal (in a timely 3 hours after inquiry). 0/10 never ever ever go there and my prayers are with you if you ever get towed by them.

My sister is a resident of Pierpont Apartments. I parked For 5 minutes to run in and help her get her stuff and my car was towed. Not only were they extremely rude about it, but I had to wait over an hour for them at their lot to even get my car. If you could leave a review without giving a star I would. My car was towed OUT OF MY OWN PARKING SPOT from my apartment. I had got new brakes two days prior to being towed, I now have zero brakes, and had to pay to get my car back. I called when I walked out and my car was missing. I called and asked them what to do because I had a parking permit that was hanging from my rear view mirror when I had got out that evening and had no way to get my car. They wouldnt bring it back and somehow my parking permit was gone out of my locked vehicle. Theyre shady, shady people. When I got there, I asked to see my car. They wouldnt let me look at it alone. When a guy FINALLY came out to walk me down, he said funny how things disappear isnt it. The only thing gone from my car was my permit so I know it wasnt broken in to be another student. I had a credit card and two twenties sitting in sight in my car. No ones going to break in for a parking pass and not take cash and a card.

My daughters car broke down and was towed to their lot. (This was the company sent by AAA) We went the next morning to have it towed to the repair shop. We were told it would be over $200. to repair it (alternator was bad). She told them it was going to her usual mechanic for repairs. Then, they told her it would cost $80. since they looked at it. (They sent a man out while we waited. He never even opened the hood). They indicated she could pay it or the car could not be taken elsewhere. The police would be called if she didnt pay the 80. and/or another company showed up to tow it. We said fine, call the police. So i moved it to another spot and he still got mad at me and force me to move it. Very disrespectful towards me and my guest. His name is Roy also. After my friend came out i wanted to get his name and he was still being very disrespectful to me. Was like why I needed to know it. I was like no concern of yours and kept mouthing off to me. If you cant be without your car for weeks while you deal with the magistrate courts (and who the heck can?) youre better off to just pay whatever they ask.It could be as much as $500 if youve displeased them, and no less than $200.If you do have to go to their lot to retrieve your stolen car - do not go alone. This is a somewhat dangerous and shady operationThe people at Ervins are incredibly rude and they will verbally abuse you, they like to mock people because youre at their mercy. You may be physically threatened - I dont think theyd actually assault someone because theyd certainly go to jail for it. These guys are scam artists. Called AAA to get towed bc I had a flat and no spare. The driver convinced me to take my vehicle to their shop, bc they have used tires I could get for cheap and they were closer than the initial place I was going to take it. (I was in the midst of a move and planned on getting rid of the SUV after the move, so I wanted a used tire.) I go to pay and was shocked when the guy told me it would be over $180. They had put on a brand new tire (without telling me). I made it very clear I only wanted a used tire before they touched my car. I told the guy to take it off and Id have it towed elsewhere. He was then going to charge me $100 for taking the tire on/off twice. The receptionist agreed that I only wanted a used tire, but the old man said We didnt have any used tires. No money. No car. He then took my keys and placed them on a hook way behind the counter. I called the police. The cop said I had to pay them in order to get my car back then Id have to take them to small claims court. I was moving out of town, so I obviously was not going to go to small claims court. I paid them for the new tire and left. They basically get your car to their shop, however they can, then charge you what they want and hold your vehicle hostage til you pay it. The only reason theyre still in business is bc its a college town in which they can take advantage. Scumbags is putting it lightly.

If there was a category below poor, I would gladly tag Ervins with it. What can I say that hasnt already been said? A cesspool of an establishment filled with the most ignorant, rude, and flat out cruel employees that I have ever had the displeasure of interacting with. If for some reason you must visit this vile pit, do not go alone, as the employees are likely to gang up against you to threaten and belittle you. Bring a posse and thick skin. This business is little more than legalized extortion, and I suggest everyone in Morgantown avoid it like the plague.

My elderly mother, who also has a disability, had a flat tire while traveling back home from a church revival. she called Ervins for a tow and to purchase a tire because she did not have a spare. she was told the price for the tow but refused to give a price for a tire until they towed her to their shop. finding this a bit ridiculous i called the shop myself and explained that she was elderly as well as disabled and for what reason on earth could they not price a tire knowing the size. i was told THIS IS THEIR POLICY AND THE PRICE WOULD BE COMPETITIVE... once the tire was put on the car, a 14 inch tire, she was told the tire was $245 plus tax, mount, balance and disposal and $65 for the tow.. i called the store to ask why they would so blatantly rob and elderly woman and was told pay the charges or take it to small claims and find her a ride because its cold out and she could not wait inside............ need i say more....

Called and was quoted an after hours price. Told wait until morning and the price would be $50 cheaper. Went to pick up vehicle the next morning and the cost was more than the after hours cost. Company is a RIP OFF SCAM.

I was heading home to Wisconsin and my brakes went out. They got me in immediately the next day and repaired my vehicle for less than half I expected. If the are a 2.5 service station in W.V. then the folks that rated them so low never had their car repaired in Wisconsin.

Went in for an inspection and told them I couldnt afford the work at the moment. One of the mechanics physically yanked on my exhaust after I told them I wanted to ask around for prices and advice. After leaving, my car exhaust now makes more noise than when I originally went in. All around the staff is impolite and rude. I would not recommend this place to anyone for any kind of work after my experience with them.
