John is always professional and knowledgeable. He’ll text me a few days before coming out with the day/time to expect him and he’s always on time. For the last few months my service with Cooks has been terrible. I have been using them for years without a problem, but for the last 3 months the servicemen spends at most 5 minutes at my house actually putting out chemicals. I have complained that I am seeing pests in my house which I have never had. The service man says he will come back out but I have not seen him. At this point in time, unless I get better service from Cooks immediately, I could not recommend their service. With this level of service, I could treat my house with locally purchased products on my own, and probably have the same level of protection.

Bo introduced our home to Cooks many many years ago. He inspected our home and did find a small problem. Got that fixed and have not had any new problems in over 20 years.Thank You Bo and cooks.G. McCoy

My review to Cooks after they requested one:Although i believe what you all did helped some it did not get rid of the bed bugs, i truly believe that the heat treatment that I paid $1000 for after I paid $2300 to you all is actually what killed the bed bugs. After your treatment I still saw three bed bugs and once the exterminator came with the heat he found a few more. After the heat treatment I have not seen one nor have I been bit by anything. I wish I had tried the heat treatment before paying you all $2300 honestly I feel like I wasted that money. Overall the customer service and technician that came and I have had contact with were very nice but I believe that you all should look into the heat treatment after more research I discovered that is truly the only way to truly eliminate them. So unfortunately i would not recommend your services if i knew of anyone that had bed bugs. The heat was the way to go.

Prepare to be frustrated. Roughly half the times Ive ever called this company about a billing issue, Im told their systems are down. Fine. I have about 10 statements here saying I owe $60. Last time this happened, I called, and, you guessed it, the systems were down. So I mailed a check with a nice, hand-written note saying please contact me with an amount I can just prepay for the year. Crickets. So now I have another 10 statements saying I owe $60.I like the technicians, they are always friendly. The lady who originally came to my property and prepared a quote was sweet. But damn their customer service is awful.

Ive been a Cooks customer for several years and am very happy with their services. I took one star off because I called Cooks to have a bait trap moved for some construction and when the technician came out to move the trap he cut my Spectrum cable line when putting the new trap in the ground. I think Cooks should call 888 (I think thats the free number for locating utility lines.) before they dig.

Cooks seemed to be great at the beginning. Havent gotten pest control service Sep. Termite service has always been on time. However, I wanted the full service but cant get it. Cooks also does the company I work for and I will definitely let them know that they do not take care of employees personal needs. Time to look for another company for service.UPDATE: Pest Control services are back. Had to speak to the manager twice. New software is what they are blaming all this on. Anyway, the service has been back for 3 months and couldnt be happier with the technicians customer service.

After having Cooks for over 3 years, I moved into a new home and was promised it would be inspected February 17th- no show. I called back after the no show to schedule them to come again, and the lady who answered the phone asked me to “call back in the morning.” Called back the next morning, told her about my experience (the 17th was my only off day from work and I needed to be home for the initial treatment) and was told that she had all of my information and someone would be contacting me back soon. Well, that was 3 weeks ago. Needless to say I contacted another company who came out in two days, I may add. I’m disappointed that this is how they treat long term customers. But oh well, their loss.

They have been trusted for having good services for years. I had an elderly resident that had bed bugs, and I suggested to call. I paid for it, and the resident said afterwards that they was detailed in helping with the areas to treat. We have two more elderly residents that need treatment, and cant afford the treatments. My program, Therapy Buddies Neighborhood Care Team- Neighbors Helping Neighbors, will seek donations to help them and other elders tbat cant afford to get help with bugs infesting their homes! Too many of our elders cant afford and are on tight budgets! Still to anyone needing a business that has been around for many, many years, call them. Awesome company.

Also, they responded quickly last year after my husband was attacked by a swarm of wasp after mowing over a nest. We did not realize they go underground, so they flushed them out and killed the entire nest.

Awful. I still had spiders and water bugs. I only did a year contract with them. After the year is up they can back the next month and said I owe them. After I ask them to only do a year. They lied to me. And put me in collections. Bad business

Ive used their service but still found ants in my house. The little plastic yellow flags they plant in your yard get rusty pretty quickly and look bad. On the plus side, I havent seen any bugs larger than an ant in my house but they had trouble processing my payments a few times. All in all, theyre an ok service but I would switch to a different one if I knew of any others.

Weve had Cooks for over 10 years. One thing I really like about this company is that we have also had the same technician (John) all along. Other companies we tried in the past would send out a different person every few months. As soon as you got one you liked, theyd send you the new guy they just hired. With Cooks we get an experienced technician every time that goes above and beyond what they have to do. We rarely see a bug in our house but when we do they are dead or dying. We dont have termite treatment, but regular pest control.

I have had their service for at least 15 years. (termite only). They will only do pest control if you agree to them doing it every month. The company I chose does it quarterly. They also hound you about payment. They would easily get payment if they sent an envelope and a billing statement with the date of service instead of a generic card. They are not saving money because you do get the envelope once they feel you are a month too late. As for the termite service, it seems expensive to me but it seems to have worked. My concern is that they come every year in December to check for termites. By December, the damage would have been done. The termite damage inspections should be quarterly.

We began using Cooks after my wife had good dealings with them through her work. The rep that inspected our home was extremely nice and knowledgeable. He had the verbiage memorized to a t... not from someone who was spouting something from a manual, but with the air of someone who knows what they do and takes pride in it. The actual terminator, according to my wife, is extremely nice and professional as well. The service seems a little expensive compared to other terminators, but once again, you get what you pay for.

Mr Mustin always does a great job

Started out great, promised to treat inside and out, but then stopped doing the inside. They also stopped letting us know when they were coming out to treat the house. The camera around the house show that the treatments were very substandard, taking less than 10 min a visit. They refused to check/treat under the house (traditional foundation). More excuses than pest control. When I canceled service they did not even ask why or what they could do to keep the account.Thier billing cycle was sporadic, the technician would leave a sheet with what he claimed he did that was the bill as well. This would be whenever they decided to show up to treat, could be at the beginning of the month, middle or end of the month... not a professional way to charge your customers or run a monthly service.I would avoid them and find a localy owned company you can build a relationship with that is responsive to thier customers.

Very unprofessional, once you sign the contract and they start the monthly withdrawal from you account the service seems to stop. I have only been a customer for a few months and i regret dealing with Cook’s. And the calls to the office are very nonchalant, they take your information and tell you someone will call you back. Can’t see how a business like this operates for so many years. Maybe it’s certain customers that only receive this kind of treatment.

I do not recommend Cooks Pest Control in Montgomery AL to anyone!I moved to Prattville Alabama July 2014 and in Aug 2014. I pre paid for Cooks home Pest Control and Termite protection for one year of service.1. Pest Control, they only spray outside. Young man who sprayed was very polite. Any other pest control service I had in the past they sprayed inside and outside. Paid for 12 months and I still owed $24 for the last month?2. Termite protection was very hard to cancel the service. I talked to them twice on the phone and asked to have service canceled.When I mailed in payment $24 during the first week of September, I also wrote a letter stating to cancel pest and termite. End of September I receive a bill for $32 for one month of termite protection.I went ahead and paid the $32 and sent the payment with a second letter to cancel the termite protection. This time I mailed the letter certified USPS.Very poor business ethics.

Horrible billing service. It took three attempts to finally cancel my termite service and receive the final bill which was a month too much. Previous issues was when they cancelled my termite service without our knowledge and then continued to accept our quarterly payments. It took a year to received a refund after several attempts to communicate the issue at hand.
