Called ahead to see if they had time for a 10 minute trim. Came it at 3:30 when theyre closing time is 5. And with a room full of barbers, was told they were closed.

Heritage is one of my go-to shops in Montgomery. Sitting on Carter Hill Rd. (across from Alabama State University) you will get a great cut, some culture, history an maybe even some of the whos who in Montgomery might show up!

They messed up my girl friend eyebrows and didn’t add any enhancements to her hair as usual don’t recommend.

My 1st Alabama hair cute was a total failure, I have been growing my hair for 8 months I specifically asked NOT ! to cut any of my sides and top just a very short and low fade guess what he did the exact opposite what I asked for and I still tipped.

Took my 10 and 13 year old boys for a pop in cut. Awesome job on both. Pricing very reasonable. Short wait. Lovely guys.

Vladimir (BooMan) Averett runs a professional shop. They have temp checks at the door, and the barbers wear masks. Black, white, male, or female, they will give you a great cut!

They will have you looking your best once they are done. Barbers have great attitudes! Relatively inexpensive compared to others Ive been to. I recommend getting there early- they open at 5 a.m. Customers get doughnuts every so often if not every day.

Heritage Barber & Style Shop is the best Barbershop around Montgomery.My only barber shop here in Montgomery that I visit since I was a teenager. I like how they cut my hair. They got swag and style.I also like their barbers. They are chatty fella. I even became friends with one of their barbers. I enjoyed talking with them. The staffs were nice and accommodating. I dont even feel awkward when Im there.The place is nice. EVen though its a bit messy because of the hairs falling down to the floor. But its okay. Its natural.Will be going here again next two weeks to have my hair cut. Have been recommending Heritage Barber & Style Shop to my friends.

Great atmosphere Micheal, Isaiah are great and the owner and those that been there from the beginning are also great barbers. That you can rely on if your main barber is not there. Prices are excellent compared to other barbershops 💈. Although they stay busy its worth the wait.

After asking for recommendations for a barbershop in the vicinity of Alabama State University that could do a designer cut on ladies hair, we were referred to this establishment. Awesome customer service. We were greeted and welcomed by the owner as we entered. Our barber Wil was professional, efficient and did a phenomenal job.

All the barbers are professional. Mike Allen is my barber, and he cuts my TWA, and leaves me feeling feminine and beautiful. Although he is very expedient, he doesnt rush or make you feel like you are not his priority.

Thats the old school barbershop. I have been a client there since 1998. The Barbers I have observed while getting my haircut to include my Barber are mentors to any youth that enters the shop. They hold respect for all persons equally. I love the atmosphere, I feel safe and comfortable.

Ive been coming here since I was a student at ASU to maintain my cropped cut and tapered fro. Ive never had a bad experience, and they dont have barbers that cant cut well. Very reasonable price for quality, thorough service. The place is always clean and welcoming, even as a woman 😊 The biggest plus is that this is a black owned business.

Mike is my barber hes a very respectful young man that cares about his customer communication its very pleasant and the atmosphere in the barbershop is very respectful and pleasant young men I will recommend every young man to go there and get their haircut I prefer Mike not to say others not good Barbers because they are but Ive been doing Mike for a long time and he has been my barber so that is my recommendation but its a nice good environment to go with your young kids to get their haircut in adults as well

Asked for a fade, with just slightly cleaning up the sides. I came out of there with a hard part that was a solid inch wide, and only half finished! Possibly the worst haircut of my life. Avoid Mike at all costs. I can’t believe I tipped him. Email me for a picture.

I love Heritage Barber the fellowship of just coming in their when the men that work their shake your hand regardless if you are a man or woman and teaching the young men the same there is good values in this shop it has the right name Heritage all the barbers in the shop has a lot to speak on from politics to their childrens oh and dont get them started on those sports no telling what might go down probably have to bring your lunch 😀😀

I went for an edge up with my hair in a ponytail and this barber cut some of my dreadlocks from the root . he wears some sperry type boots . please avoid him cause he messes up customers hair . best choice in that shop is the guy by the door when you first walk in & the guy on the end on the same side. They guy that messed my hair up is on the opposite side on the end by the bathroom.

I really needed a haircut and my barber was MIA, I asked for a ball fade and got up with mix between a boosie fade and a Mohawk on the other side! You know they messing up when they pull out that black spray!! He was cool but never again I gotta call up my original barber to fix this mess!

Beware!! I visitedthis shop while I was on Christmas vacay. I read the reviews and thought Id give them a chance. While I waited for an available barber, I was checking the skills of the barbers and wasnt really impressed. Once I got in the chair, the barber NOT ONCE brushes my hair, he just began cutting??? Mind you, Ive cut my own hair, and other for at least 20 years, and regret not having done my own that day. I wanted simple low haircut without the guard and the clippers all the way open with a razor line. It took him nearly an hour and it looks HORRIBLE. The front, near my line, is patchy, probably because he didnt brush the hair as he cut it. Thats barbering 101. You have remive the old hair as you cut the new. As he was cutting, I had a feeling this was going to be a disastrous cut, AND IT WAS!!! My razor line as a joke be use the hair wasnt evenly cut. So, my front line is botched. I guess Ill have to break out the clippers and fix this mess myself. Smh...Hopefully hell do better at his new career as a conditioning coach. Stick to sports bruh.
