First time getting my car service. It was easy to make an appointment. The service department at McConnell is amazing! The waiting room is very clean, well organized, chairs are comfy, and the dealership offers free coffee, bottled water, and drinks. I was in and out with no issues. This is my first car (2021 Honda Civic) from the dealership and I would recommend them to anyone.

They have very good services. But it’s like some of them keeps adding more and more and more air in the tires, it keeps coming out that should tell you something. I am so so so aggravated and ignored. Check it out I been here four times for the same problem.Update: thank you for checking it, I knew it was something in my tire and I am going to get it out,of course. PS., if you keep putting more and more and more air in the tires; that would tell you hey!, air is keep coming out,it’s something in there.

Carlton Jackson was our salesman and he was absolutely great. Within one week he sold my husband and I each a car, one new and one used, both with trade-ins. We both got a fair value for the previous cars. He was very professional, patient, and honest. We didnt feel pressured or manipulated in any way! The two men afterwards who handled paperwork had a different (more judgmental) tone, but I understand thats probably in their job title to upsell the extended warranties that we werent interested in. Overall outstanding experience due to the service provided by Mr. Jackson!

Very nice service and nice attitudes of employees, however, it should be noted that some of the jobs they attempt to perform should be investigated a bit since some jobs, like cabin air filter replacements, can be charged to you around 70 bucks, when you can buy one for about 12 bucks and very easily replace it in your Honda. Otherwise, the service is good except for those prices which must be set by higher ups.

Me and my family were on the interstate heading to Florida and a truck tire blew out and threw debris into my car and hit my sensor. All kind of lights started flashing and needless to say I panicked. I started looking for Honda dealers near us. Thank God we found McConnell Honda, we pulled into the service department and that’s where I met an angel, Ms.Tammy Green she took such good care of me and my family. If your ever in Montgomery, Al. There arent a ton of options in this region if you want service to your Honda/Acura vehicle, but if you think going to the dealership guarantees you honest, dependable service, I would reconsider. Over the years I have seen upcharges for things I didnt really need. Some padding to service orders. They are also not great at calling back with quotes or scheduling a service appointment. Since I am coming from out of town, the timing matters for the appointment, and there have been multiple times that they failed to call me back, and then no longer had the particular date/time I needed. Sounds like not a big deal to them, but when coming out of town that can be the difference between being able to get the work done or not. This time Im calling Tameron in Hoover and driving farther. That will probably be my go-to from now on.

**Edited to change from 1 to 4 stars and to remove the salesman’s name because I got a call from the sales manager apologizing. They have agreed to pay for the TPMS sensor replacements. I’m not sure if the bad review was the reason for the call, but I’m thankful they decided to make things right. AND he thanked me for our business. I can’t help but to think that if we were purchasing a more expensive auto, our salesman would have been more accommodating. Thank you, McConnell, for providing a quick resolution.**Just purchased a used Lexus from this dealer. The salesman went through a stack of papers before we signed letting us know of all the work they did to this car to justify its price. The tires had been replaced, and that was a huge selling point. HOWEVER, 30 minutes after driving it off the lot, the TPMS sensor came on. No big deal, we had to go back in the morning to get our vehicle that we left on the lot. The next morning, we took it in, asked them to check the tire pressure and sensors. Tire pressure was fine, but as it turned out, not one, but 2 of the TPMS sensors were bad. They told us that it wasn’t their responsibility and we would need to take it to the Lexus dealer to be fixed....on our dime! I asked if it was possible to damage the sensors in the process of replacing the tires and our salesman, said...”I didn’t change out the tires, so I don’t know.” CLEARLY I’m no mechanic either sir, but you just raved about the new tires that were installed so that’s why I asked the question. I mean, if you just spent all this money replacing tires and something went awry, wouldn’t you ask the service department this type of question? He was obviously ready for us to leave, so we did. But I’m not happy. Even in the whole sales process, I was made to feel as if they were doing me a favor. We never got any sort of “Thank you for your business.” “We appreciate you!” From our salesman. Nothing..... At the end of the day, it’s not about the TPMS sensor...it’s about the fact that they didn’t see value in the transaction. It’s a high mileage car that I will probably need to replace in 2 years and I will tell you where I won’t be going to do it.

I took my car to have my water pump replaced that the mechanic recommended along with other work that allowed them to fix and I never had a radiator leak, but when I get it back I need a new radiator all of sudden. I am very dissatisfied with the practices from this shop. The leak started when they replaced the water pump, but they didnt notice the leak. It started immediately that day when I picked it up and I thought it was runoff. Very frustrating to have to replace parts that I know didnt have an issue till I put the car in the shop.

Went in for service..i was in and out with no issues. The waiting room wasnt too crowded and everyone was wearing their masks. The receptionist was very versed on the service done to my car and when they were finished explained all the findings/recommendations with me as if she was the mechanic...I was very impressed. This is my second car from this dealership and I would recommend them to anyone....Okia was my sale woman and I was also helped by Nigel in her absence.

Extremely poor experience. Made a service appointment to have part of my car looked at. After waiting around for 2 hours, my car was still not even looked at! What’s the point of making an appointment?When I asked to have my keys to leave, the service advisor gladly complied. She could care less about my experience at her dealership or if I would ever come back.Very poorly run operation. Whoever is the service manager here should not have a job. Will never return to this dealership for anything.

I was in Montgomery on business and when I was on I-85 my low tire pressure light went on.It was late in the day. I went to the dealership without an appointment. They found the nail and fixed the tire within 90 minutes. The service advisor Chu was very accommodating and even though I live in another part of Alabama and didnt buy the car there, I was treated as if I was old friend.

So, I go to McConnel Honda Dealership for an oil change, and for all my fluids topped. My windshield wiper fluid container was empty. I get my van back, and, guess what, windshield wiper is still empty. Now, I am not sure if they even changed my oil. Sad, I brought it to their attention when I picked the van up, and no one has even called me back. It was not even a strategy of mine, but, sad, they never called me back or apologized. I have this sunk feeling that my oil was never changed. UGH

I need to give a MAJOR shout out to Mrs. Tammy! My family was on a road trip from Mississippi to Georgia. We suddenly had a bunch of warning lights turn on and the car would not shift into third. We decided that instead of waiting on roadside assistance, we would drive to the nearest Honda dealership. We showed up at 5:03 and the mechanics had already left for the day. Mrs. Tammy personally took me to get a rental car while my husband and children waited at the dealership. She stayed well after the time she got off work and made sure we were all set. We finished driving to Georgia that night. The next morning Mrs. Tammy called to make sure we had arrived okay. She also kept me updated on my car repairs and had everything waiting for me when I was able to return to get my car. A couple hundred dollars and a new valve later, the car is running good as new. Thank you to Mrs. Tammy, the mechanics and everyone in the service department. Y’all went above and beyond and made a very stressful situation feel like a minor hiccup.

I would give 5 stars if the dealership didnt use a company to repair its steering wheels/seats prior to sales. DO NOT BUY if the used vehicle has had seats/steering wheel/any leather reconditioned by someone. The leather parts will deteriorate so fast and begin to look worse then before due to the spray paint used. I am finding paint all over every time i clean my vehicle. This is a lesson learned on my part. Please beware when they tell you the leather has been reconditioned.

I called around noon and made an appt for today, a friday. i was told that i would have to leave the car and they would call me on monday. it would be $75 to diagnose and that would go to the repair bill. two hours later, they called to tell me the car was fixed, no charge. (they had replaced the airbag during a recall two years ago and accidentally bent a pin. my driving around had eventually triggered an alarm.) they could have lied and charged me a ton, so high marks for eddie and horace in the repair dept!

I find it very interesting that when I take my Honda in for a recall for an airbag, I all of a sudden have my battery and alternator that need to be replaced. I question the honesty and integrity of this dealership and recommend you don’t do business with them if you aren’t a usual customer! Especially when my battery and alternator weren’t showing any signs of replacement.
