Signed my 5 year old up for summer camp at their Chicago Ridge location and had a terrible first two days experience, I immediately removed my son from the program and reach out to the CEO and VP. After several failed attempts to discuss my concerns with leadership, the VP reached out to me and reassurred me that my experience was out of the norm, which included, little to no supervision of children, understaff, children are sat down and food is distributed during meal times, to name a few. Luckily, my monies were refunded and I am sure this was just a bad experience with their site director at a new site. I just wasnt comfortable keeping my small child there while they worked some kinks out and handled their personnel issues.
We Started using ivy league two years ago for summer camp when our daughter was 7. We absolutely love the program. It’s the most cost effective in the area. She gets the attention she needs throughout the day. They are very quick to respond to questions and concerns we’ve had. I like specifically that they allow you to pick and choose what days of programming your kids will be attending. Most summer camps require that you pay for full weeks or pay for the full summer Which is not something that we needed. We were so happy when we found out that Ivy League was taking over Manteno for after school. They are very structured in there after school curriculum and they do a great job keeping the kids occupied while they are waiting for us to come get them. They communicate very well with us when we pick her up if there has been any type of issue. Ms Karen and the girls do a really good job and I prefer this crew to the previous program.
My daughter has been attending Ivy League Kids afterschool care at Manteno since the start of the school year. She absolutely loves the program and routinely begs to stay later. I can’t say enough good things about all the staff members. I’m so glad to see the same core team every day. This means a lot to my daughter and me.
Whenever we go to pickup our Grand Daughter Ms Karen & her staff always have the kids doing fun crafts & activities. Great Job !
My kids are enjoying McAuliffe Ivy League! Ms Crystal has a more consistent staff for such a large site (Anna Marie, Lauren, Maddie, etc.). The kids love when Mr. David can stop by. My girls love the consistency (Melty Bead Monday, art days, etc.)
They have inexperienced staff who are unable to handle all age groups. They require that you pay two weeks in advance so be prepared for that. Took my child to another provider and it has been a much better experience
My daughter loves all the activities and the teachers! Great team in Manteno!
My daughter loves Ivy League! She never wants to miss. Ms. Keisha is amazing! Always super happy and helpful. & the best is how convenient it is.
This program is new this year and is far worse than the program before. My children come home nearly everyday crying and with headaches due to the constant blowing of whistles in their ears and how the workers constantly yell. The kids are also limited on the amount of time they can do school work, WHY CANT THEY HAVE HOWEVER MUCH TIME THEY NEED? Additionally every time i pick the kids up the workers are on their phones, no wonder both of my children have gotten hurt there. Something needs to change with this program, the workers need to be more attentive and nicer to the kids.
Affiliate got hired from a previous job and was promised a promotion after their 1st year and total job security, got harassed then fired after 8 months working the job because the company couldnt pay their wages, they expected that the employees spent a maximum of $0.60 on each child for snacks/juice whilst complaining that they had too many kids at the location.
Wonderful program. So convenient and the staff is always friendly and attentive to the children as far as I have seen. I would definitely recommend this program to anyone looking for something before and after school. They are a life saver.
I was a child at this program. I was not bullied but rather tortured. These people did not noticed me being thrown at walls, or ran over by scooters. Once on a field trip to a park with a sandbox, kids had held my face under sand and no one noticed. I had literally been stepped on and been told it was my fault by the staff.
Loved working with the kids at Ivy League and working with the staff ms Ashley, ms Angela, mrs L, ms Nicole have been amazing coworkers
Miserable people watching your children over at Rogus. They are rude to the parents if they arrive after 5:30 even though theyre open til 6. Today I came at 6:03 bc of a road block on saint francis. They met me at the door with a miserable attitude as usual. My fault for ruining 3 minutes of your time. Considering Ill now be burned at the stake for arriving 3 minutes late, I am switching her. I picked my daughter up and she was crying bc they were so mean to her!! Today was the first time I was ever late. Before that, theyd call me at 5:45 and 5:50 to see where I was. Im nervous to leave my child with these people again. Michelle is, and always has been fantastic.
