Rented a 26 from glendale CA moving to turlock. Had so many issues with the truck that I had to stop a few times and drove 50 Mph all the way from glendale to turlock.check engine went on and noises were coming off the truck.really bad experience. I talked to thr guys in modesto office when returning the truck, but they didnt even took a note of it. Nice guy working there but they could at least give me a credit or something for that hassle

If I could I would rate this more stars. Staff was extremely friendly. I reserved a truck and when I arrived to pick up the truck I was given one with a lift gate free of charge. I was over an hour past 24 hrs due to return the truck and they were ok with it as long as you call and let them know ahead of time. And the best part was that I was given a discount on the truck mileage I put in! I highly recommend this place if you need a truck rental.

They canceled my reservation without letting me know the reason, did the reservation again thinking it might be a mistake. It wasnt, they called me this time saying they dont have the truck I need. This happened today, I made a reservation a FEW WEEKS AGO and I need the truck TOMORROW. Lovely. Had to go Penske and pay $70 more since the other nearby Budget trucks didnt have any.

Cancelled my reservations twice. I reserved a 26 foot truck. When I ubered to the palendale office they informed me they had no truck. I looked at their yard and there was a 26 foot truck in the parking area. I spoke to who I can only assume was the manager and she said that the 26 footer was reserved for a commercial customer who picks up and drops off the truck everyday. It was 9:00 and no one had picked up the truck. Is that my problem? Budget couldn’t help because they said they had no idea of what the palendale office had for inventory. Bottom line these people are not helpful at all. NEVER USE BUDGET. They cancelled on me twice, two weekends in a row I had two change my moving plans. Thanks to the cooperation of this palendale store and budget I was able to secure two trucks with uhaul. Bottom line BUDGET IS THE WORST. Thanks guys.

Best place EVER! My family moved out of state over 10 years ago. Janice went out of her way to accommodate our move then, and was more than gracious to us when we moved back this past year. I am now a fan for life! Thank you so much for all of your guys help! Im sure well see you again. (but hopefully not too soon! Cuz moving sux!)

Best prices and very convenient

I rented a truck from Rexburg Idaho to move to Modesto, CA. The office in Rexburg opened 30 minutes late. We were renting a 16 foot truck with a car hauling trailer. When we got the keys to the truck, I discovered one of the rear view mirrors was missing. I went back in the office and got the keys to a different truck. I had to unhitch the trailer from the truck and hook it up to another truck. Upon getting into the truck, it was FILTHY. It looked like someone had spilled a chocolate milkshake all over the inside. When I looked at the other 16 foot trucks on the lot, it was determined that they were all nasty. We spent the next two hours just trying to clean out the cab so it would be acceptable to drive 900 miles. While hooking up the trailer we found the wiring to be cut. So we drove the truck and trailer to our apartment, then drove to a nearby ACE hardware store where we bought wire stripper, crimpers, butt connectors, electrical tape and everything we needed to make the repair to the trailer so we would be safe and compliant. After the 900 mile drive, we returned the truck and trailer to the Pelandale store. I relayed this story to the two women working at the counter. I was told to call customer service and get 15% off of my bill. They also thanked me for filling the tank with fuel before returning it. They were both very friendly. Janice made you feel important.The next day, my credit card was charged an additional $30.00 plus fuel. I finally got that reversed after we drove back down there and showed our receipts. It was determined that they charged me for a truck I didnt use. I did follow the advice of Janice and call customer service. WHAT A JOKE THAT WAS!! After going from one phone number to another and finally finding someone that spoke descent english, I related my story. (By the way...when you call customer service, they give you two options...1&2. Customer service is option 5. So keep pressing number 5 and you can finally get someone without calling other phone numbers and talking with someone from New Delhi.) They put me on hold and called the Pelandale office. After many minutes they thanked me for my patience in waiting for a response. The woman finally came back on the line and told me that the Pelandale office couldnt remember ever telling me to call customer service for a 15% discount. (selective memory loss...a great attribute in an employee). She said all she could do was offer me $10.00. I can find that in the couch! The only reason I gave them 1 star is because I dont see any negative stars. You know... like a minus 5 stars.

Be sure to check the mechanical condition of the truck youre renting before taking it on a long trip. We rented a 16 truck that had MAJOR steering and alignment issues. We had to drive it back and exchange it for a 12er.

Great place to rent a truck

Made a reservation on a Sunday, gave them my credit number and info, just to get a call 20 min later saying they had no trucks on the site. Plans were irreversible huge inconvenience.
