My experience with Gills Family Dentistry was a smooth and comforting experience! They took great care of me! Not only was Dr. Gill very knowledgeable and professional, but the staff was as well! They treated me with open arms, and now I love my smile more than ever! 10/10 definitely recommend to anyone looking to get any type of teeth work done!

I can say that Dr. Gill was born for dentistry. I have never seen dental work so meticulously perfect. Dr. Gill takes great pride in his art of restorations, and cutting corners, or rushing dental procedures is not an option for him. I know that the dental treatment received at his practice is worth every penny. His dental work is honestly the best I have ever seen in my sixteen years of dental assisting. The title of best dentist in Modesto needs to be changed to the best dentist in the whole Central Valley!

I’m so happy that I found this dentistry! I was new to town and really did not enjoy my experience at my last dentist. The staff here is so kind, open to answering any questions, and the quality of work at the dentist as a whole is amazing so I don’t mind the pricing. The team at Gill Family Dentistry have been very welcoming since I became a client last year. I appreciate the way theyve handled their business during the pandemic in keeping their staff and clients safe. I’m not kind of person that normally leaves reviews.Words cannot even begin to describe how much Gill Family Dentistry has made a difference in my life. From the very first time I walked into their doors I felt welcomed, treated with kindness.... not the kind that you read from a “ Customer Service textbook “ greeting .They honestly appreciate and care about each and every one of their patients. They take the time to get to know you on a personal level. It’s not about just a quick $ for them. By getting to know me they were able to set up an individual treatment plan. Truly identifying what my actual needs were. I was given a wide variety of choices and payment plans that I was comfortable with. On this journey, I never felt pressured to spend more than what was appropriate for my needs. The staff have always been friendly and very knowledge full. This type of professionalism is truly remarkable. Of course I came in embarrassed any nervous. In the beginning stages of my journey I was at my most vulnerable point. The side that not even family was allowed to see. They were so supportive and full of kind words. All my worries went away. I looked forward to each and everyone of my appointments. They are driven by making a difference in people’s lives. Never about quoting a price. With the only options are deal with it or fill out a credit application. Appointments were never a problem. Whatever my schedule allowed they would work with me and still do. No matter how long of a day, patient emergencies, phone calls, they never rushed. They take pride in spending time with each new friend who came in to visit. They are focused on identifying what your concerns are and what would benefit you long term. Not a quick fix. I was always ashamed of my dentures. I had already gone thru Western Dental nightmare.( my only option at the time) I had so many issues with, comfort, fit, the list goes on. Not only did they not feel right, but the whole look of them were awful. I became more self conscious of my appearance. My bottom teeth such a bad fit that I couldn’t even wear them for 5 mins without them flopping around. I got to the point that I stopped wearing them all together. I stopped taking and being in family pictures. Each and every step of my treatment was explained to me not at me. My life has completely changed during this transformation. I was a difficult patient. They had to completely reconstruct my whole mouth. Not only for comfort and practicality. I have no clue how they were able to pull this miracle off. Not just about the outter appearance. But my self esteem and confidence. I love them. They will always be a huge part of my life. I can’t thank them enough.

Did not like the service. Very dirty place. Felt like a number. He volunteered me for a bridge. After picking at my teeth. Wait a second I want implants. He didnt care about what I wanted he was pushing his own agenda.Went in for a cleaning and got nothing out of it. He knew I havent been to a dentist in years. Could of cleaned my teeth. The Gill family got paid through my insurance by charging for Xrays but I got nothing in return just what he thought was good for me. SMH. I will never return. Beware of Sales tactics. Come on in and let me charge you as much as we can. Try to squeeze as many visits so they can take advantage of the insurance. If you have good insurance go elsewhere.

Im having a series of procedures done by Dr. Gill. So far two extractions and a bridge removal. Dr. Gill took his time extracting the teeth to the point that I literally had a minimal amount of discomfort. His assistant Dora made sure that I was comfortable and relaxed throughout the procedure. She had a very calming effect on me. The rest of the office staff are always kind and considerate. To say that I actually had a pleasant dental experience would be an understatement. I am actually looking forward to taking care of the rest my dental needs at Gill Family Dentistry. No I am not family and have not been compensated for this review, the first I have ever done by the way. I was just that impressed by their practice. I have lived in Modesto for 18 years. I was very in need of a good dentist for my mom when she moved here from back east. I found Dr. Gill online and went in for a consultation. The entire staff was friendly and genuine. We had a lot of decisions to make about the work my mom needed and I was in a panic over how I would pay for it. Dentures are very expensive. I had already been through the experience with my husband with another dentist. Jolene helped us get care credit and really explained everything and made it work for us. Dr Gill explained everything in a way that we understood and he really showed care and concern for my mom. She was so scared of going to the dentist. He was able to get her dental work done so quickly and now my mom smiles all the time and she’s not afraid to go to the dentist anymore because he makes her feel so safe when she’s there. Dr Gill is an amazing denstist. His office staff is super friendly and professional, they’ll make you feel at home. One thing I noticed is that Dr Gill is a perfectionist and that’s a huge plus in my point of view.

Horible experience the only nice thing was the ladies at the desk I went in for a filling and this was a few months ago and my fillings still hurt. While he doing the fillings he cut my lip twice with the drill because he was talking and not even about my filling. He was supper rough and I was going in for two very small fillings (two different teeth) and he drilled half of both teeth away and on one of them he drilled the tooth next with no cavities away half of to witch wasnt necessary horible dintest and I have one old filling from years ago from my old dentist cant even feel it never hurts or anything this guy is unprofessional and terrible at his job save yourself the trip and go find a better dentist.

I would definitely recommend this dental office to everyone. I was having some major tooth pain due to a cavity, i called around but no one was able to get me in. I called the doctors fronts office and the front desk was able to get me in the same day. They took my x-rays and determined that i needed a root canal, the doctor explained everything about the processor or the root canal and was even able to get the procedure done the same day. When I left the office that day i had absolutely no pain what so ever. This is going to definitely be my new family dentist. And on top of all the I did not even have insurance but there prices were very affordable.

Dr Gill was completely unprofessional, he refused treatment because the office was closing early. Western dental provides better service and more concern than Dr Gill does. I was scheduled for a filling treatment and he stated it was an exam appointment even though I had an exam 3 weeks ago. I will never go to this office again. If zero stars was an option I wouldnt even rate his service one star, but I had to rate it some thing in order to post these comments.

Dr. Gill is a fantastic dentist. His staff, especially, his dental hygienists are great. All of them listen to you and try to make every dental appointment as pleasant as possible.Why I choose Dr. Gill:For over 18 years I refused to go to a dentist because the last two dentists hurt me so much. Most local anesthetics like Novocain do not work on me. The dentist before Dr. Gill loaded me up with eight shots of some local anesthetic and the refused to believe me when I told her my mouth was not numb. She insisted on drilling into a tooth to fill a cavity and since my wheelchair was in another room, I could not leave.

My first visit/experience wasnt so good with the dentist as to bedside m annet, but the ladies were very nice and the Hygenist did an Awesome job cleaning my teeth.This vi sf it I needed a crown and the Dentist did a great job. I was very Lucky/spoiled? to have the dentist I had as a teenager and young adult.

Dr. Gill is very thorough Dentist. He has fixed my daughters tooth that was chipped very badly in rough house play with her brother. He has also worked on my sons mouth. It was his first time getting a cavity filled and he had some apprehension with the shot, etc. But Dr. Gill put all his fears to rest and made him look cool doing it.

Dr. Gill and his staff have made going to the dentist a positive experience! Their professional, positive attitude as well as concern for a patient are evident the minute you enter the door. Ive had a front tooth that was broken in half, horizontally, over 45 years ago. Since then, Ive had it replaced several times, due to discoloration. Now with modern dentistry, it was so easy to have Dr. Gill do this for me. No more yellowed front tooth! He also replaced my old metal fillings which were cracking my teeth, with composites. Im so glad that I have found my new dentist here in Modesto!

Worst experience of my life, I went here and had some pain! When dr Gill came to check on me, he started to inspect my mouth and was asking me if I had discomfort or sensitivity to my teeth as he was hitting them with a tool, asked me to say yes or no if I felt pain of course I couldn’t talk with a tool in my mouth but he insisted that I say yes, properly! He came off as very rude to me. You cannot expect somebody to say yes with a tool in your mouth he even told me why don’t you say it the right way. I don’t know what you’re saying. Even attempted to nod my head to say yes or no. He just seem to get more frustrated with me. Iam definitely going to switch my provider and I will tell everybody that I know, to not go here. This place is horrible!

My wife has Covered California and CC offered this dental coverage for approx. $160 per year. My wife made an appoinment for teeth cleaning. The dentist took exrays like all dentist do and told her she had to get $2800 worth of work done BEFORE he can clean her teeth. What a scam. She had to pay $30 upon leaving, for what i still cant figure out. Frustrated she went to our dentist Dr Zwahlen he cleaned her teeth and didnt mention any other work to be done. Zwahlen asked my wife to get the xrays so she went back to get them but they wanted to charge her $25. I personally would not consider this greed monster for my dental work.

Dr. Gill made my experience wonderful. I have major fear of injections. He made them virtually painless. I had 7 teeth pulled this morning and. Perfectly fitting upper denture put in. The color was A2 and was light but natural.
