Ive been going to this barber shop for almost 20 years. Al has been at this location for decades and the atmosphere here reminds me of the days when I was a kid and people cared about the quality of their work and knowing your name. This is the best barber shop in town and the time and detail put into the haircut is something you dont see at any hair cutting establishment these days, including the straight edge shave at the end of the haircut. The old time feel of the shop and Als conversations are part of the experience, he knows who you are as a person, remembers your past conversations and genuinely cares about what you say, where else can you find that these days? The owners of the property recently decided to serve him an eviction notice with no reason why, after over 40 years being there! I felt sick when Al told me about this and am still in shock. He been here for decades and to do this to someone as loyal as Al is unconscionable. The days of big box stores are killing small businesses and everything we grew up with, we have very few places like this left. I hope this can be stopped, I cant imagine going anywhere else.
