Are you kidding me!!??? YOU WILL NEVER find a better place to stay in Montana!! This place is EXCELLENT!!!! Dennis and Dorinda are the best hosts that we have ever met! They exceeded our expectations in every way. They have the most amazing property that makes you feel like you are in your dream home. The property has an attention to detail that should be the Gold standard for how to host for guests. We would give 6 stars if possible. If you are going to have a wedding on the grounds, be prepared to be impressed. Bravo!Excellent, Excellent, Excellent!!!

Butler Creek Lodge is the place to stay when visiting Missoula MT. Dorinda and Dennis think of everything and are two of the nicest people I have met. The place was relaxing and a perfect location to explore Missoula and make a day trip to Glacier National Park. We stayed in the suite which was perfect for my Mom and I. I would love to come back with a bigger group and stay in the lodge! Check it out...you wont be disappointed.

My wife and I got married here in mid September. An absolutely breathtaking venue and a wonderful place for our wedding party to stay. We could not have pictured a more gorgeous scene in our wildest dreams. Everyone, including our vendors, was asking how in the world we found this gem. Our photographer was practically drooling over the endless picturesque backdrops. Dennis and Dorinda were extremely helpful every step of the way. We could not have asked for anything better.

We couldnt have chosen a better venue for our August 2020 wedding. Dorinda was quick to respond when we first inquired about touring the venue. After just stepping foot on the lawn, we knew the Butler Creek Lodge was where we wanted to get married. The lodge is the perfect space for a Montana wedding. The outdoor space is rustic and woodsy, but still elegant enough for a wedding.The lodge itself was comfortable and clean. The kitchen was well-equipped to host brunch and day-of snacking. Our entire wedding party plus family stayed Friday and Saturday night and had a fantastic time. We couldnt believe how affordable it was either!Dorinda was so accommodating, helpful, and flexible. I would absolutely recommend the Butler Creek Lodge for your wedding or even a less formal getaway. 5 stars!

Beautiful venue.

We had our wedding at Butler Creek Lodge in June. It is a truly breathtaking property and I couldnt imagine a more perfect setting for the biggest day of our lives. Dorinda and Dennis are the kindest hosts you could imagine. They made us feel very welcome and it was truly a pleasure getting to know them over the course of the weekend. Were extremely grateful that we were able to celebrate our marriage in such a beautiful place. This is Montana at its finest. Were already talking about booking the lodge for our anniversary.

One of Missoulas greatest hidden gems. Less the 15 minutes from town, this big, beautiful lodge is perfect for a quick getaway, a weekend retreat or a destination wedding. We have rented the lodge three times for unforgettable staff parties. Too much to drink? Stay in one of the many comfortable bedrooms - I think the place sleeps over 12. Its great - close to town but you feel like you are in true Montana wilderness. Beautiful grounds, warm and cozy interior, and two of the most gracious hosts you can imagine. Book this place - for a night or a week. It really is one of a kind.

This review is long overdue! If youre even remotely considering renting out the lodge, my advice is do it! At least go check it out...and I know youll fall in love. My husband and I got married at Butler Creek Lodge in August 2018. I fell in love with the venue the moment we arrived to tour it and continued to fall more and more in love every time we went back to take measurements, plan the layout etc. It was the most perfect venue for our little enchanted forest wedding. Dorinda was such a joy to work with and the venue itself is stunning. The lodge was stunning and rustic and welcoming and the perfect place to house our wedding party and their spouses. The grounds are a wonderful, green and serene location and once you’re there you’d have no idea you’re just a few miles out of town. It feels like its own little world, quiet and peaceful. Dorinda also allowed us to take our engagement photos there the winter before our wedding. I fully intend to rent out the lodge again for something in the future…not sure what but the second I have another need to rent out a large space like that, Dorinda will be my first call! I loved the soft, beautifully green lawns and the stunning lodge kitchen with large windows looking over the grounds. The beds were so perfectly soft and downright indulgent. One of the best nights of sleep I’ve had! The other wonderful thing about renting the lodge was that Dorinda was so supportive of all our decoration ideas and of not forcing us to call it a night before we were ready to stop celebrating our nuptials! We had our rehearsal dinner there the night before the wedding, the ceremony on the lower-most lawn and the reception through all 3 lawns. Thank you Dorinda for making our wedding day the perfect fairy tale I’d hoped it would be!

Wonderful! Could not be better. This place captured our hearts from the moment we saw it and met Dorinda. The lodge is only surpassed by the couple that runs it. Dennis and Dorinda are hands down the nicest, most hospitable people around. They exceeded our expectations in every way. We had our destination wedding here and everyone was blown away by how perfect the venue was. We would definitely recommend it to all of our friends that if they are looking for a place to stay or a wedding venue in Missoula. Loved it.
