After I damaged my computer at a critical time, James was patient, helpful and most important, knowledgable. I cant thank him enough for his desire to fix problem in such a kind and professional manner. They are by far the best in town. Stay away from big box fixits...this is the place, they will take care of you 150%. Located on South Avenue right off Reserve. A+ service

My work macbook had a battery recall, before we would have to ship them to an apple certified repair shop to get work done. It is so nice to be able to take them to a local shop. Instead of being without my laptop for a week or more, it is usually 1 or 2 days. They replaced my battery for me and about 6 months later I started getting a battery condition error. My Macbook was just out of Apple Care but Computer Guys worked with Apple to get it replaced as a faulty battery.

The worst experience I could ask for.Brought my laptop in to fix 2 keys on my keyboard. They said itd take 1-2 days. 8 days later I get the laptop back, with very little communication in between on what was going on. While fixing the keyboard they broken the touch ID and had to replace the full logic board. Without asking for authorization they replaced it, including my hard drive. That means when I opened my laptop it was completely wipe and they claimed there was no way to retrieve the data.Making it worse, they didnt offer to help fix the damages or reimburse me in any way. This was standard business for these guys. Terrible communication, bad computer repairs, and no decency.

I visited Computer Guys after my five year old mac was running slowly. They removed some malware, and updated my hard drive. It now runs quickly with the programs I use. Hurray. They also said I will probably get a few more years of use out of the computer, which is a bargain compared to buying a new one at over a thousand dollars!On a side note, I visited Computer Guys after another store at the mall specializing in apple said they couldnt do anything for me. From now on I will simply take my computer to Computer Guys.

The guy was professional and helpful. He transferred data from my Dads old computer to his new one with no problems. That was great. With my computer, which had recently crashed, he told me it was unfixable and didn’t charge me for working on it. I took it somewhere else and they were able to recover my data so I was able to transfer it to a new computer. I just wonder how knowledgeable he is after telling me I couldn’t recover my data.

I had a wonderful experience with Computer Guys. They fixed my iMac in just a couple days. This was after Simply Mac held my computer for over a month and made the issues worse. Do NOT take your computer to Simply Mac in Missoula. Go straight to Computer guys. Joe, Shawn and James really care. Thanks you!!

I accidentally deleted the operating system from my computer and he quickly walked me through the steps to recover it. My business relies on my computer and Joe gave it life again! Great customer service and communication. If you want to know what is going on with your computer when getting worked on, they communicate the process very well. Less than 48 hour turn around time and let you know when its done so you can be back up and running as soon as possible. Fair prices.

I took my computer to this place on a Tuesday.A week later on a Wednesday I called them.They told me that they had not done anything and that 4 people were ahead of me. I told them Id be picking up my computer and taking it to someone else.They called me back 30 minutes later to tell me that they could fix it. The service seemed fine and I agreed to order some new parts. The computer was to work so I took it home.It did not work when I got home and I had to take it back.Overall, I will not be using this business again and I would encourage you not to either.Update: They said it would take a week to get my parts, but it took 2 weeks. When I got the computer back theyd scratched my screen.I was charged $155 for this experience.

I brought my external drive in to recover old photos and documents. The employee did a very poor job explaining to me how to follow his process of recovery when I was picking up the computer (he left instructions with the front staff only), which then required the receptionist to go to the backroom to ask him questions three times. Reluctantly he eventually came to the front to explain and when I asked him to show me how to recover the items, he said it actually probably couldnt be done. I left distraught and frustrated thinking I had lost years of sentimental family photos and important documents. I was disappointed in the customer service.However, when I returned home, I played with the external drive and backup disc a bit under supervision of a Mac user, and I was able to recover ALL of the data myself. I was extremely disappointed in the overall process at Computer Guys.

Highly recommend!Super nice, super helpful! I brought my tower in and gave them a rundown of what was going on with it. They treated me with the utmost respect and talked to me very comfortably - not dumbing down any kind of tech talk. The tech (James?) called me back in just a few hours with a diagnosis, then touched base again once he had the system up and running and gave options of how to wrap it up - e.g, re-install Windows or not and on which drive.The office itself is even very professional feeling, and with a clean, mature atmosphere. It may seem like a standard thing, but not compared to other shops in town...

SO FRUSTRATED right now and want to warn people! Our business computer died so we took it to Computer Guys in Missoula, MT. After one week they finally looked at it and a few days later told us the hard drive was failing. I was told they could order a new computer for me with the features I wanted or I could get one on my own. I spoke with Joe Swanson, THE OWNER, for a long time about what we needed and pricing, then put a down payment on the new computer and he ordered it. It took 4 days to arrive, then we finally got it back Friday afternoon and realized he ordered THE WRONG COMPUTER!!! He was conveniently gone already on Friday when we realized this, so I left a message for him to call me Monday morning. He never called, so I called him. He did not apologize and got very defensive right away, even though we had been without a computer for 3 weeks at this point due to their mess up! He did not offer to help get the situation solved and completely misrepresented what he had said the day I ordered it. We immediately purchased a new computer from Costco with ALL the features Joe said were no longer standard on computers and had Computer Guys put our information on it, for which they charged an additional fee! DO NOT GO TO COMPUTER GUYS!!!!

Dropped off our iMac with a hard drive failure. Serviced, recovered data, loaded everything back and completed work in less than 24 hours. Writing this Review from my newly serviced iMac. As we all know computers can be tricky to diagnose and repair but these folks do the the best they can and in our case the service tech did a fantastic job. Thanks guys, appreciate the quick turn around.FYI - make sure to back up your computer regularly, it helps the service tech recover all of your data quickly and saves you time & money.

I dropped off two laptops that ended up being unrepairable. When I went to pay the bill, they had charges for recycling on the bill. I told them I didnt want the laptops recycled, I wanted to keep them. They removed the charges but when I got home, I discovered the usuable components had been removed from the computers.

I sent my Macbook in for a broken screen, which took over TWO MONTHS to fix, with very few updates, leaving me to wonder if my computer was being stolen. Meanwhile, the repairman promised me his work would basically be a freebie--if you call over $100 a freebie. Then, when it finally was fixed, they forgot to install the webcam. Computer Guys is a flunk; if you want quality, affordable, and timely service, this place is definitely not right for you! I would go straight to the manufacturer, or basically any other repair shop, before I would ever go back to the Computer Guys.

Called about Spy/Mal ware, the representative was very friendly, walked me through it and was not in a hurry with me. In my case I do not even need to use their service he told me, I can fix it with a simple software, but if that day comes I will definitely be calling these guys.

If you are having any problems with your computer take it here to Computer Guys of Missoula, MT. Extremely nice and very helpful with the whole process no matter what your computer problem may be. Very competitive pricing which is thoroughly explained from beginning to end and what charges will cover. They differ on how much time they take on computers but I turned in my MacBook Pro in the morning and got it back that same evening. I could not be happier with the service and I am now writing this review with my newly repaired MacBook!
