My 2000 Ford Ranger who is lovingly known as “ole unreliable” has lived up to its name by needing to go in for some sort of repair nearly every 6 months. For years, I faithfully took ole unreliable in to another “nationally renowned” mechanic who would fix the problem, but only temporarily. As if it were clockwork, ole unreliable needed work mere days before a big move to another town. Our typical mechanic was unavailable, so I found myself reaching out to Peak Auto to see if they could address the situation. Not only were they available to address the situation the same day, but Ryan (an incredible mechanic- who explained everything in great detail) was able to accurately diagnosis what had been wrong with ole unreliable for years and had her fixed up and ready to go within a few hours. I can not express how grateful I am for the honest, quality services provided by Peak Auto. I may have moved to a different town but I will surely return to Peak Auto the next time ole unreliable needs a tune up.

Saved me from buying a lemon! They saw me same day and charged almost half of what my usual mechanic does for check ups. Plus, they were professional and seemed thorough.

We were passing through town on a road trip when the check engine light came on and we needed to replace an oxygen sensor. We had the replacement part, but were not able to do it with the tools we had. We called a dozen different places and this was the only one who could get us in the same day. The mechanic, Will, changed the sensor in about 10 minutes and refused to let us give him any money. That is not something you find often these days. We would definitely come back.

Needed help to inspect an engine light, they were the only place in the area to get us in on the spot. Quickly got our problem solved and even filled our oil for no charge! Very helpful and knowledgeable! I would trust them for any repair work

Paid them to replace my engine. They had it for over 2 months and when I got it back not even a mile down the road I had issues. Ever since this new ownership this shop has been nothing be garbage. They never answer the phone. They ripped me off. My car is still undrivable. Do not go here.

Its always great to have a good mechanic. I found Clunkers when looking for a second opinion. My car was leaking coolant and over heating. I took it to a shop someone recommended, got an estimate & thought it was high. I called Clunkers and they worked me in the same day. Clunkers estimate was about 20% less expensive and very well explained. Dylan is very knowledgeable, total car geek, good adviser. I just had service done on my current car. Highly recommend.

I brought my truck in for a tune up and an overhaul and they ripped me off for $1200 did not replace plugs, wires, distributor cap, oil was still brown, motor siezed after driving it 4 times and they told me that they had nothing to say to me unless I wanted to start a new work order.. the tune up alone was $600 and they didnt do anything.. they have changed their name from clunkers to peak because they had so many bad reviews.. I am a mom with 3 kids and no child support.. they screwed me

I was just a few days out from having a big Auto repair chain do work on my engine’s gasket and about 500 miles into a 2000 mile cross country trip when I had the check engine light pop on. Peak Auto was one of the only places willing to look at my car at 6 pm and I brought it over.They showed me something was left disconnected from the prior job and could have led to big problems, resulting in my check engine light. After they reconnected it they checked my oil for me (as the big chain hadn’t) and it was extremely low. They filled it up after notifying me. I offered to pay for inspection on my vehicle, the resolving of my engine issue, and my oil change, but they declined as it was so minor to correct. These are honest guys and I can’t praise them enough for saving me a lot of stress and headache. Highly recommend.

We had car trouble on the interstate while passing through the area. Pulled off the highway at 5 pm on a Friday evening. We tried 4-5 other repair shops first, all told us they were about to close and couldnt even tell us when they could take a look, but that it surely wouldnt be today. Then we got a hold of Peak Auto repair. One of their mechanics and the manager took time out of what they were working on to look at our car right away. They were very good about talking us through what they found, fixed the immediate issue, and recommended some follow up work once we got back to our home state (even talking me through how some of it could be done on my own). Through the whole thing they were not rushing and actually seemed to care about getting us back on the road.

Wow!! Professional, Reasonably priced and FAST! I brought in my 01 Indian Chief motorcycle. Dylan worked diligently to try to find the rare part and fixed it quickly and well done. He is very knowledgeable. I definitely recommend Clunker Auto and they will be seeing us again in the future.

This has been my favorite auto shop in Missoula for about 3 years now, have had a total of 3 repairs done on my 97 Toyota Rav 4, CV axle replacement, brake and rotar repair, and some oil leaks fixed, all seemed to be a fair price and was done somewhat fast, except they ordered the wrong parts for my axles, but they apologized, and gave me around 100$ off for the delay. I have recommended alot of friends to go here for there needs and all have seemed impressed. Dont fall for the fake 1 star reviews some of those people havent even been customers there and are shaming a business for no reason. Dylan has always been straight and honest with me, about to go back to try to get my window regulator repaired.

These guys quoted me a price and ended up having to do way more work on my car than they originally thought. The owner kept me updated with every detail, and explained what he was doing in terms that I could understand. I was charged the originally quoted price despite the fact that the work that they did was worth far more. Incredibly understanding and knowledgeable people. I have never had such a great experience with an auto repair shop.

Dylan is absolutely great to deal with. He runs an honest shop. Fact of the matter is, no matter how tight of a ship you run, in a shop with multiple techs and a line of vehicles waiting, things get missed. You cant avoid it eventually. But Dylan recognized the issues, addressed it directly, and made it right. You cant ask for more than that. Prices are fair for the work being done as well and the turn around time seems faster than most shops.As with most things, if it is major work, I would always recommend the dealership. After paying them $2000 up front they put a used motor in my truck and returned it to me not running I sense had to put at least another 1000 into the truck and replace every gasket on the new motor that they put in it they ignored me 90% of the time while they had my truck After getting tired of dealing with them I decided to replace a gasket that they told me I needed replaced but didnt have time to do it that day and with me doing that they claim I voided my warranty with them and that I still owed them money. I was told that things would be done that werent done I even brought them another truck for parts there were many bolts not tightened and some bolts not even there. so I will never bring a vehicle back to them nor will I ever recommend them to anybody!

I was referred to clunker auto by the guys at Valvoline. i looked up the shop and drove right over. the guys at clunker helped me right away. some of the fastest service i have ever had, super nice people and also did everything they could on there part to help me get the job done. i will be going back for more work. clunker auto changed out an alternator for me, was their maybe 20 mins, really enjoyed my time.

Got a truck for a decent price but the front end was all messed up. Chris and Dylan gave me a very competitive quote which saved me a bunch of money and I believe they did a better job and paid more attention to detail than I would have gotten elsewhere. Good honest guys.

I have had these guys work on my car two separate times so far and have been very happy with their work. I was having an issue with my car and a strong hunch as to what it was and that it was going to be a costly repair. I took my car in and they said that they would take a look at it and not charge me for the diagnosis. They called back within the hour and said that it was not as bad as we predicted and the job was not nearly as expensive as I had been worrying. Dylan has always very polite, honest and quick with the jobs. I had spent quite a bit of time shopping around and asking about prices and opinions and these guys beat everyone by quite a bit. I was referred to them by a friend and could not be happier.

My repair was left incomplete with several parts missing and bolts loose or not in place. Repair that should’ve took a month MAYBE two took over 10 months. Not only was the repair incomplete, it left my vehicle a danger for my children and others to be a passenger in. Wouldn’t recommend getting an oil change here.

Im from Arizona and was in a jam. My 4x4 had a broken shock; It was 5:30 p.m.; and I needed it fixed. Since it was a simple fix, they told me to bring it down, and they would fit me in.In less than 20 minutes, I was rolling. I almost (ALMOST) felt bad for not paying them more :-)SUPER nice guys, and it is obvious they like what they do.
