Our kids love this place! The Ralph Gracie MV feels like family and the BJJ instruction is elite. Highly recommended for all ages. My 8 & 11 year old are learning self defense, self control, discipline and are now competing. Professor Marcelo does a great job of instructing and teaching all age groups and has a great patience with the children. It’s a very fun and challenging environment. Highly recommend!! 5 stars!!!

I moved back to Mission Viejo 3 years ago after being raised here and was very happy to find Professor Marcelo and Ralph Gracie Mission Viejo. I trained Jiu Jitsu for a number of years before moving and I was looking for a Jiu Jitsu school with a warm and welcoming environment, friendly students, an outstanding kids program, and amazing Jiu Jitsu instruction. I found all of these in Ralph Gracie Mission Viejo and now my 7 year old daughter and 9 year old son train here and they love it. More importantly, my wife and I can see the positive impact Jiu Jitsu has on our kids. I would highly recommend for kids, adults, and families.

There are many places to train BJJ in Southern Cal however, not all academies have a Professor like Marcelo Bob Lucena! Everyone here is treated like family and Professor Bob has created an extremely positive atmosphere that is noticeable as soon as you walk in the door. If you are in Southern Cal you owe it yourself to train with a World-Class BJJ instructor who still competes at a very high level!

Excellent Brazillian JiuJitsu academy that focuses on quality of instruction. The academy has a welcoming and friendly vibe that welcomes newcomers. Experience practitioners to middle age guys /gals trying to get in shape all seem to thrive here. I started training here two years ago when I knew nothing about BJJ and was out of shape. I lost 20 pounds and now competing at major BJJ competitions.
