Be very careful when dealing with Nextera. They used unethical business practices by conveniently not giving us notification that the term of the contract was coming up and the contract auto renewed for another year. They are inflexible.
Only use them if you have to!Our small business was an early adopter of their T2T internet service as we were just out of reach for fiber optic. Their service was ok but 1.5 MB speeds were molasses. Paid double to move to 3 MB service (twice as fast, but really?!) and opted for a two year contract to save a few bucks. Rode out our contract knowing there were newer, much faster ISPs we could tap into.Went to disconnect after fulfilling our contract only to find out that a fine print clause forced an auto-renewal of the contract for another year. Inquired about an early termination fee option and was told the fee was the remainder due on the contract. How is that an option as opposed to riding out the remainder of the contract?!! Wouldnt work with us on a rate reduction even though weve been customers for 8+years!Unethical, overpriced, and my guess on their way out of business, especially when they continue to treat customers like this.
The service was limited & problems off and on. Most disappointed with confusing service agreement we signed, unclear in the agreement they reference a separate Master Service Agreement. We signed for a 3 yr term & waited patiently for it to expire to switch to a better service, and were unaware that because we didnt cancel before the expiration date they automatically extended our term service. We called months ago & thought this was all cleared up, but without warning or any statements or mail from then for months, we were informed they are billing $625.00 for a service we didnt even use and are sent to collections on 4/27. Weve been on vacation so are learning this after the fact.
Currently using Nextera fixed wireless in the Loretto area. Due to population density there is a lack of high speed internet providers, leaving only CentryLink DSL as the only advertised option. Due to restrictive speeds on DSL and poor internet performance, I sought out a new solution.Enter Nextera. I have been a residential fixed wireless customer now for roughly a year. While internet speeds are somewhat limited, I was still able to double my bandwidth to 3 mbps. Due to the quality of service provided and dedicated bandwidth, Im able to stream at 720p without issue or slow down of internet surfing. Network response times are around 20ms allowing for me to game without issue.I was concerned about leveraging wireless solution, but I have yet an internet outage or interruption despite weather or other factors. Point is, Im pretty satisfied with their solution given options in the area.
We ave Nextera at the Cabin, they are the only ISP and they kick butt!!!!!
