Tried calling to become a new patient and as soon as I mentioned what type of insurance we have (ucare) the woman on the phone said “is that through the state?” And I replied yes, and she said “we aren’t taking new patients, bye” and hung up very quickly. Clearly they ARE taking new patients, just those with private insurance. Thanks.
Dental hygienists and dentists are great and lovely get me in and out without any fuss & let me listen to music . However the receptionists are rude, pushy, and aggressive . I was not told of some new financial policy before having to get a crown put on and when I went to check out and pay my copay, the receptionist expected me without having submitted my bill to insurance to pay half of the service upfront . I explained I could not, as I could not afford this . She, Natasha was rude and pushy and a downright bully about it . I said I’d prefer to pay whatever is left when the bill is submitted but she would not let me leave until I agreed to pay something . I explained I could not afford this, and I’m going on medical assistance once my current insurance expires for a reason I’m disabled and finances . She could not have cared less . Kept yelling at me about their financial policy . Said 100$ min was preferable and got huffy when I said I could not afford that and 50$ was all I could manage . frankly I’m considering switching dentist offices if the receptionists can not bully patients about billing when that’s not even their department.
I’ve been with all the lead dentists and all of them seem judgmental and very very minimally helpful. Also, very unresponsive to their online question form. I filled out the form with questions twice and many weeks passed in between each and after the second and no response. I then when to the extreme extent and messaged the Park Dental shared Facebook page and they contacted the Ridgepark location and I finally got a response. It’s highly frustrating that they have this online contact form and fail to reply regularly.
Dr Balfour; great dentist w/ terrific skills, lovely personality & thorough communication skills, best dds ever!
Avoid Dr. Mann! Dismissive and condescending. Waited for a half hour for her to ask me what seemed to be the issue? Then proceeded with her “expert” analysis of my x-rays. You’re supposed to be the doctor!! If you know what the “issue” is don’t have your patients guess, then throw it in their face when there wrong. Never knew being a dentist was so easy? Thinking about a career change. Still in pain from a cavity. Thanks for nothing Dr. Mann!
Phenomenal care. They laid out all the options for me, were incredibly kind and genuine about everything they did, made sure I was comfortable and answered all of my questions no problem.
Cant say enough about Dr. Belfour. Amazing! She is the reason why I keep coming back.
Love the staff there!!! They are all so friendly, I could sit and chat for hours. The Dentists have made recommendations for me that have been life-changing and cost effective. I have been a client for over 10 years and will keep coming back!!!
This team is dialed in. Friendly and very professional. Kim and Dr. Steele are the best. I highly recommend Park Dental.
Dr. Langguth was my answer to two years without seeing a dentist. At no time was I shamed about that. The staff went to work and after a cleaning and polishing the exam. I needed some repairs of fillings and in a second appointment it was all done.
Park Dental was amazing. They got me in for a last minute appointment, worked with my insurance issues, and got me two follow up appointments in the next two weeks. All while making me feel comfortable at ease.
Dr. Steele is the best! Very talented and professional. I have been seeing him for years always a straight shooter--looking out for the patients well being.
Update: Thank you for your concern about my complaint however it is very frustrating to call the “practice manager” as you suggested and get the same “there is nothing we can do” response! Before having someone reach out to your clinic to resolve their issue you should have a solution ready!Park Dental is unknowledgeable, irresponsible and unethical when it comes to notifying patients of insurance changes. I was with them for 10+ years. For the last 5 years I had the exact same insurance, which was in-network.After my last routine cleaning I got a large bill in the mail. I called them to see what was up and they informed my that my insurance was out of network and this was my patient responsibility. This took me by complete surprise. I asked why they never informed me of this change since it has been in network for the last 5+ years and I was told they sent out letter, which I never got. I told them I would have at least expected someone to let me know when I came in for my next visit, this never happened either. I asked if they could help me out based on their miscommunication. I was told there is nothing they could do and that I owed them the payment in full.I completely understand that it is my responsibility to check with my insurance to confirm if they are in network when I select a clinic, or when I am getting a procedure done, but to expect me to do that every 6 months when it is time for a routine cleaning is not logical. If the network status changes on their end I would expect them to inform me, bottom line.Watch out for this clinic, they are not patient centric in my opinion!
I asked for help with a situation and my messages were not responded to - I think there is something going on at this dental office and thus cant trust them with anything else. Also did not get the feeling I could get help with anything other than the most basic dental care.
Im very happy with the service I receive at Park Dental Ridge Park. I would highly recommend Dr. Steele and the staff for their expertise and friendliness. Also, great new office!
Wonderful staff! Lovely new office
Dr Steel is the best!
Dr. Balfour is THE BEST!!!
