Tara is very skilled and knowledgeable at what she’s doing. We had a few dresses, sweatpants, and jackets fixed or altered there, and the results were always satisfying. She’s also willing to work around our schedules and makes sure our items can be picked up ASAP. Definitely will be back in the future!

Didnt end up getting my dress tailored by her. I never worked with her before but decided to try her due to the numerous positive reviews. I called two times earlier in the week to confirm if she could lengthen my dress within my timeline. She told me yes both times and that I didnt need an appointment but to come in later that week. I showed up with my dress and shoe to her storefront and was immediately turned away. She told me (without seeing my dress since it was still in its protective covering) that she couldnt lengthen it but that she could hem it. That was the exact opposite of what I needed. Since there isnt a point in trying to persuade her to do something she couldnt, I left. I wish she could have been honest with me over the phone instead of waiting until I commuted there in person before telling me otherwise. I cant speak to the quality of her work but can certainly share my experience with her professionalism, or lack thereof.

I had an extremely difficult tailoring job- a peacoat with a grey and black striped pattern which I needed to be fitted. They did an incredible job and it fits beautifully. I have all my dress shirts and pants tailored here now.

I used to go there a lot when I lived in St. Louis Park. I have short legs so my pants always need hem. I brought in a couple pants, told her my inseem 29 inches. Came to pick up she showed me they were already 29 inches. Tried them on, she pinned them then hemmed them while I waited, EXCELLENT SERVICE AND ETHICS!!!

There is a bit of a wait if you want something done ASAP, but if you give her a reasonable amount of time to alter your clothes the results are amazing! She altered my strapless prom dress which had complicated beading on the bodice. The dress fit like a glove and you could not tell the bodice was altered!

Im so glad I brought my wedding dress to TARA! With just one sizing, they were able to take my dress in so it fits like a glove, and their bustling system works beautifully. The bustle doesnt pull on the fabric, is easy ribbon ties instead of hooks or buttons, and doesnt require fiddling to get it to lay right. They are very knowledgeable and skilled at what they do.

We have brought two suits, one bridesmaids dress, and one wedding dress here for alterations. I couldnt believe how well they all turned out. Reasonable pricing and exceptional skill.

Brought in 4 pairs of dress pants to be hemmed, brand new in a box. When I came back to pick them up, one had a very obvious iron burn on it. She denied it could have been her and tried to blame it on me. I reminded her that they were brand new out of a box when I dropped them off and she continued to deny that it could have been as a result of her hemming work. Then she had the audacity to charge me full price and didn’t offer to compensate me for the ruined pair of pants. She wanted to argue with me about paying for the alterations on the uined pair and had no wherewithal that she was losing me as a customer and didn’t seem to care. I would avoid this place, which is a bummer since the area could use a tailor. Just not this one.

I needed a dress taken in and hemmed for a special occasion and I only had 5 days. The women at TARA did a great job. My only complaint is that they said it would be done by noon the day I needed it and it didnt get done until 5 pm, so we were down to the wire. Still, it fit perfectly and Ill definitely be back.

Amazing service, fast turn around. My wife and I were in town for an event and the dress had a flaw that we did not notice until the last minute. She was super accommodating and made the necessary changes in time. If your looking for a tailor this is the place!

This was my third of fourth time at Taras. I dropped off my sons scout uniform shirt in to have patches sewn on, on a Wednesday, and we agreed Id pick it up on Saturday at 4:30 pm. I arrived right at that time to find nothing had been done with the shirt yet. She asked if I had five minutes to wait while she quickly put them on. I had kids waiting in the car but had no choice but to say yes as he was leaving for camp the next morning. 10 minutes later it was ready which was fast, but I was disappointed that she still charged me full price. Then I got home and noticed two of the patches werent even sewn on all the way.

Excellent work on hemming a multilayered formal dress. Sweet lady owns the shop and she does a wonderful job. Prices are very reasonable. Had it done on time. Already brought her more work. FYI cash payment only.
