I cannot even express my gratitude to Rob. You never think your child is going to leave this earth before you do and, in my case, my 22 year old son left this earth before me. I never planned a funeral service before, and Rob was right there helping us. He gave us everything we wanted and needed. He has just been so cool with me and my family, he is like family now. They also treat you like family. I highly recommend their services over any other in Minnesota. Trust me I have called around talk to a few funeral homes and none of them offered all the things Billman- Hunt did.

Our baby was stillborn and our social worker suggested Billman-Hunt as she had previous positive experience with them. No one expects this kind of tragedy, and to have to deal with arrangements for cremation was the last thing we wanted to think about. Rob Jr was wonderful and responded to all calls promptly as he helped us through this difficult and unexpected process.

This funeral home was amazing. We used their services on August 27th. They were extremely nice, helpful and made this experience extremely easy during our time of need. I am not a Minnesota resident, I live in Oklahoma but had to commute to Minnesota when my younger sister passed away. I worked closely with their son Junior he was amazing and even told great jokes which helped me with a chuckle during planning (i.e. I do the best makeup in town). Everything turned out amazing. Little did he know, I work for the Oklahoma Insurance Department in Oklahoma, it is my job to regulate prepaid funeral home statues in Oklahoma. THIS FAMILY IS AMAZING!!! After our services he even allowed me to park my deceased sisters car in their parking lot until the wrecker service came to tow it away. This was not included in our services purchased. Although there was another funeral service being held during the time her car was parked, they still gave us the space. They were not rude and allowed me to use the space until I was able to have the car removed. You cannot go wrong with Billman-Hunt; while I hope to never need them again, I would use their funeral home and services again. Thank you guys so much!!!

On November 17th 2020 we lost a dear friend and Family member JJ! It was a truly devasting shock to all who knew him and his Family in New Zealand. Having never had the personal experience in coordinationing after-life care, I was referred to Billman-Hunt by the social worker at Hennepin County hospital. Rob was absolutley incredible with his compassion, efficiency and utter respect for our loved one. He coordinated JJs afterlife while communicating with me here in MN, as well as his next of kin in New Zealand. Rob was always available and every single step he took was in the best interests of JJ and our/his families wishes. It is difficult to explain, but Rob has an amazing, genuine character about his demeanor; he puts you at ease, he takes charge and handles all the logistics of afterlife, and he does so in such an efficient, caring, and selfless manner. Rob is a unique person and I am so thankful for his assistance.

Rob Jr was amazing!! He was the only one willing to pick up my mothers body when she died last Thursday. Everyone else showed up then refused to take her because her husband who disappeared and would not sign next of kin. These guys are awesome. Family owned funeral home in the heart of Northeast. Assisted wonderfully with helping my siblings and I with my fathers recent passing. These Men actually care about what happens when your loved one passes, they go through everything with you to make sure you are satisfied. Thank God they are understanding & I do not recommend at all the funeral on Park Avenue & 24th in South Minneapolis because they are horrible people. I never in a million years thought I would have to bury the love of my life, my soul mate, my bestfriend, my Husband at such a young age. We planned a lifetime together. We wanted to be married like our grandparents celebrating 50, 60 years of marriage... That was all taken away from us because of Cancer!! All our dreams, all our goals, everything we survived together for the past 23 years, it was all just ripped away from me the moment my husband took his last breath. The day before I had talked to Rob Sr. About question trying to prepare myself... Rob Sr. Told me, Honey go home and spend as much time as possible with your husband, Dont worry about any if this right now. We will take care of you when the time comes. I wasnt sure how to feel about that at the time, but I did exactly what he said and went home to my husband! Unfortunately around 3am I had to make the call to a funeral home to come get my Bestfriend. I didnt even think twice and called Billman-Hunt Funeral Chapel. I was in such a daze and couldnt barley talk or see. But the 2 young men that came to get my husband were so respectful and so caring which made it a little bit easier letting my husband leave my side. The next day I went in to start arrangements. Rob Jr was The one who mainly walked me thru everything. He was very professional, very Honest, very caring and over all The entire family at Billman-Hunt did such a beautiful, gracious job at handling the arrangements Im happy I went here instead of anywhere else! They have stayed in contact with me to make sure our kids and myself are doing ok, and I respect that very much! This is a long and sad story so please bear with me, but I received the best service from Rob at Billman-Hunt Funeral Chapel. My friends friends son was a foreign university student from China. Unfortunately, he ended his own life in February. My friend reached out to me to help get the students remains back to China. I didnt have any experience with this kind of thing, but due to the pandemic restrictions, the students family could not come to the United States. I was the only one who could help him as I was already in the US. I used Google to find Rob and his services. He moved the remains from the countys medical center to his funeral home immediately. He went above and beyond and did so many extra tasks for the family like going to the students dorm to find his passport. He also collected and listed all of his valuable belongings and sent pictures of them to his family. Rob also put the students car into storage in his own place because the dorm did not allow the car to sta y there. Rob also contacted the Chinese Consulate in Chicago and prepared all of the documents the Consulate needed. The thing that really stood out to me was that Rob drove the hearse car all the way from Minneapolis with the casket to the Chicago International Airport to try and catch the soonest flight to China. This really moved me. I am so glad I had Rob to help me out with everything. Rob told me he was so glad he could get the chance to help the students family be able to say goodbye to their loved one.This is a long but miserable story. My friend’s friend’s child is an overseas student from China. Ended his life in February this year for various reasons. Because during the epidemic, the childrens family members cannot come to the United States, so the task of bringing the children home is given to me who knows nothing. I found Rob on Google and he gave me the best service. He took the child from the medical center back to his funeral center in the first place. In addition, he has done a lot of extra work for the childrens family. For example, find his passport in his relics, and send photos of his valuable relics to family members separately. He also put his car in his garage because the dormitory would not allow it to park. He is also preparing to transport the childrens documents back to the Chinese Consulate in Chicago. What moved me most was that he drove the coffin to the Air China Cargo Center in Chicago in order to send the child home as soon as possible. Rob said that he is very happy to do something for the childs family.

My brother left for us in Minnesota and my parents wanted to move him to South Texas, we had no idea how this would work, and Rob assisted us every step of the way. He educated us and prepared us for all the possibilities without giving us false hope, he warned us that if for whatever reason they did not let my brothers body ride on the plane, his own brother could drive 24 hours on the way to South Texas, so that my brother will come to rest close to family. Rob even called us after all to make sure my brother arrived safely. I recommend them, because they were always available for all of our questions, and the service we received was like we left their own family.I couldnt have asked for a better family business to help us through this difficult time. My brother passed in Minnesota and my parents wanted to have his body transferred to South Texas, we had no clue how to do this would work and Rob walked us through every step. He educated and prepared us for every possibility without giving us any false expectations, he even let us know that if for whatever reason they didnt let my brothers body on the plane his own brother would make the 24 hour drive to south Texas so that my brothers body would make it home to rest. Rob even called us a few days later to confirm my brother had made it home to us. Very highly recommend this family business, as they were always available for our many questions and the service we received was as if we were one of their own.
