Great hair cut for my husband. He had Wonderful Barber. He goes here offer and will be back.

I went to this salon for my sister’s wedding. I called a week in advance and couldn’t get a hold of a single person. When someone finally got on the phone, she was incredibly dismissive. And very rude. I went in person a week later, and spoke to Anne, and she stated she could do my hair. All I asked for was curls, on my short cut, she said she could do it. My mother also asked for help from another woman there, and she was incredibly rude. Still, she was the only black owned salon, close, and the ratings were decent. When I got to the salon, that’s when Anne told me that salon policy required me to get a shampoo, conditioner and mold for my hair. I told her she never mentioned this, and that I had just done my hair a 5 days ago at my usual salon in Atlanta, and she told me she couldn’t do my hair without it. My thing, is that she could have told me that prior to coming, because I never would have booked. She set me in a chair to wash my hair, and I watched as two other people were put in the exact same chair after me. No one even tried to wash the sink after each client, or disinfect it. She then slathered hair foam into my hair and left me to dry while my hair molded. Once my hair was dry, she combed out most of the mold! Even the back that was supposed to remain flat. The back lifted THAT DAY. And she had to re-straighten the part that was supposed to remain flat. I told her I wanted to see what she was doing, to tell her what I wanted, and she said she doesn’t allow, or work like that. My personal hair stylist always lets me see her work, so I can telll her if I don’t like something. She then cut the front of my hair be because she claimed it was uneven, though I told her I didn’t want any hair cut. This left me with a completely straight front, which I DID NOT WANT. She also put wayyy too much product, because the hair form started coming out in white flakes, which she claimed was my dandruff, which is funny, since she had JUST washed my hair, and I literally never have dandruff. She just didn’t know how to work on my previous cut, and wanted to cut it some more, because she couldn’t see how it was laid. I was VERY disappointed with my service, and think you should save your money if you’re thinking of coming here. Or at least avoid AnneUpdate: The lack of accountability is actually crazy. The OWNER may answer the phone when she’s there, but the other employees just about never do. I called about 10x before Anne answered, and she was extremely rude even then. And I didn’t assume anything. I would never know if y’all sprayed overnight, so that’s above me. But ma’am, an assumption is when I didn’t ask any questions. I asked if a service could be completed and I was told that it could be. An explanation of your salon requirement of a shampoo, would’ve sufficed, and I would’ve gone elsewhere. If she couldn’t just curl my hair, I would have gone elsewhere. She told me I’d be in and out in maybe less than 30 min when I asked her to curl my hair. Please, don’t ever try to blame me for your carelessness. You seem on point as an owner, but your employees are very lack luster. The “salon experience” left my hair dry as ever, with a tremendous amount of product buildup, and a botched cut. I’m just glad it didn’t cost as much as my regular salon. Manners go a long way ma’am, so you be blessed.

My experience was amazing. The shop was very clean and all of the ladies were professional. I thought I could color my hair at home and I ended up creating a multi color disaster. My stylist was Johanna and she completely transformed my color and gave me the style that I wanted. She was very realistic on what was achievable and in my opinion she went above and beyond . Not only that ....... I am almost a month recovering from surgery and she accommodated me to the fullest and for that I am very grateful. It’s definitely true when you look good you feel good.

I was previously a customer of this salon on and off for many years, meanwhile I wasn’t really conscious of the health of my hair and would go in ever so often for a silk press and it was always looked nice. I went in for box braids from a new stylist I hadn’t worked with before but had seen throughout the years of me going to the salon. To cut the chase, my experience was horrible and it prompted me to make sure i never go to a business like this again since discovering better. This is not a place for naturals or those who care about preserving the length And quality of their hair. I got box braids and not only was the experience highly unprofessional (talking on the phone loudly the entire time, completely disrespectful attitude, she was yanking on my hair with one hand, talking on the phone with the other. I had so much breakage after. She also forced me to wash my hair with their shampoo after I told her that I had already washed and deep conditioned my hair. She basically was like “nope, sorry, I’m washing it” without even looking at my hair or considering me. I do not see why anyone would put up with this type of behavior from someone of which they are paying hundreds of dollars. I want the stylists at dimensions to understand, I can get a fabulous style and good customer service at the same time. There is no need to act entitled or as though we should be lucky to be in your chair. It’s actually the other way around. I hope one day this stylist can see that and start taking her career more seriously, or find a new one.

I got my hair highlighted for the first time here and it turned out amazing - better than I could’ve imagined! Everyone was so nice and Johanna made sure to deep condition my hair so I not only left with beautifully colored hair, but soft, moisturized hair as well. Love this place, totally recommend!

I think her name is Johanna she did such a good job on my hair which is thin and damaged but she brought so much life to my hair. She was pretty hard on me but I appreciate boldness and the truth. I definitely be back to her and taking her advice on staying weave free especially until I can get my hair healthy with density. The only thing bad I have to say is she can be rude a little but other than that she great.

Y’all. You looking for a black beauty salon who can silk press some dry 4C hair? Go here please. They wash your hair squeaky clean, very careful with your hair the whole way. I’ve never had a bomb press like this. It has body, not heavy, I’m just too happy. The stylists are home girl vibes with interesting conversations without sounding like a gossip. The Ladies in this shop are amazing. They know hair!!! Ive been coming here for years. I started my natural journey here with the big chop in 2013 and now 6 years later I am bra strap length. A few set backs along the way. My own doing of course, but every time these ladies got me back right. They take such great care of my daughters hair as well. I highly recommend them.

Went in for a simple wash and blow out. The individual doing my hair suggested a trim which I agreed to. She was unprofessional and her idea of a “trim” was chopping my hair into uneven sections! I love supporting black own businesses but it’s hard supporting your own when they continue to hire unprofessional individuals, that in turn ruins ones business and makes us all look bad in the end!I would never recommend this place to anyone looking to get their hair washed and styled or anyone who doesn’t carry around cash because “they don’t accept cards”

I’m Very picky about my hair and who I let in it because My hair is natural and very thick. I Took a chance today and let Lisa in my hair; this woman had me washed,deep conditioning, trimmed and pressed in little under a hour and a half. I was pleasantly surprised by the results. I left her chair at 12:08pm by 12:23pm a lady at the corner store on Penn ave stopped me to say, “ I love your hair!” “The way your hair is flowing and bouncing in this wind looks so pretty!” MY POINT IS LISA HAS A NEW CUSTOMER 🥰

Dimensions is a family owned barbershop and salon. I’ve been getting my hair cut here for 10-15 years. I’ve tried several other shops/barbers however I consider Dimensions to be HOME. The professionalism, relationships and the feeling of community can’t be topped. I’d recommend Dimensions to anyone looking for a safe and reliable shop. Ladies as well due to there being a connected salon.

The hair salon has been around for several years and has the best prices for a haircut. I have been going there for over 10 years.

So I went into demensions for a haircut and relaxer after being natural for two years . I was very disappointed with the service I showed the stylist Johanna the style I wanted I even showed her a secondary style just in case and I ended up with what was a nightmare of a cut and style. And I was charged $90 dollars and I even tipped her $10 I fill duped I will never go to her again. I asked for a refund but she declined and said she would fix it but a experienced stylist would have never done this to me. I reached out to the salon owner Lisa and she offered to fix it and I’m confident that she could but after the nightmare of the style I have I’m declining to go back. I will suck it up and go pay another stylist to fix what she did 😩I should have just stayed natural!!!

Love this place! It has the classic feel of a barber shop and they really know how to take care of you! A friend referred me and said that it is not just a cut but an experience, and he was right. I just call and ask how much they charge for a 27 piece I was told $100 i think its about that time for me to do hair again and show peoples what good hairstyles and nice prices look like because i slay and 27piece and lot more hairstyles...Back home in the CHI WE CHARGE $65 for a 27.. I cant take Minnesota serious lmao! (Its my birthday I didnt feel like doing my hair that part )

Poor service. would never go back. Didnt give me the hair style I asked for, rudely went to work on another customer while I was waiting with shampoo siting on my hair and put waaaaayyyy tooo much heat on my hair causing heat damage.

I made an appointment with a person there I explained to them that the braids kind of messed up my hair especially in the front my Head, I spoke with the person that was going to do my hair and even through the conversation she made me really feel bad I know that my hair is thinning in the front and I explained to her that I had to go do an event Tuesday so I was thinking that maybe she can give me some type of hairstyle or sew-in at the top of my head to the make me look some type of way but in stead she made me feel worthless as a woman and even if my head was messed up the way she felt it was, she could have been more professional with the way she approached me, she told me that my hair need prayer, I have had a lot of bad experiences with our people far as my hair, I thank her but not taking my money and just doing anything with my hair, but instead she insulted me to the lowest and again I have I have had real bad experiences since Ive been here in Minnesota....what I will pray about is that I meet someone here in Minnesota that can have some type of compassion with a person that has alopecia

Great experience with my stylist. My now adult girls and I have been going here for many years.

They are really nice and do hair right.

I waited a few days to write my review just because I was so upset when I left but even now looking at my hair I get more and more upset everytime. First of all my hairstylist was soooo unprofessional. I had Johanna and she brought her toddler to work with her so she had to assist the child and her clients. I made an appointment for 2pm and by 4pm my hair had only been washed nothing else. I didnt leave the salon until about 6:30. After waiting 2hours to get my hair done she rushed through my hair even after telling her I was extremely tender headed she still racked through my hair very roughly. She used the wrong type of curlers on my hair which were metal and are known to cause extreme breakage. She used a hot comb on my edges which actually did cause breakage. She shouldve used a ceramic flat iron which is healthier for the hair and gives it a natural shine. My hair was very stiff it had no volume and no bounce. I HATE MY HAIR!

They are my usual goto girls for blow outs they know hair! And how to bring it back to life, time management could be handled a bit better with appointment times but i feel taken care of every time i visit :)

The worst experience I have ever had.The lady that did my hair was on the phone with her dad the entire time.I had a relaxer and cut done. I asked her to only cut the dead hair, about an inch. She gave me a haircut, shortening my front and layering. She also ran to go get her kids from God knows where. I paid $75, def not worth it.I will never go back.Growing my hair back out and then finding someone professional, that takes care of their clients and is looking for repeat customers. I resided in NYC where I would get a roller set weekly, I like taking care of my hair and I dont mind paying for service. It was my first and last time there! Having worked in the food industry where you get paid for service I was appalled.The only reason I went was because their website states they have been around for 40 years.

Johanna did just that, i appreciate how she explains whats going on in the mist of doing my hair she offered great hair advice to upkeep my hair when unable to come in and see her regularly. My child is now 18months old and i am still happy with the service Mrs.Johanna provides. As a bonus I brought my mom in a year ago, and she still comes to Johanna as well.
